Here's an unusual video for me...I needed a reference Les Paul to kick around the workshop so I rescued a mate by relieving him of this minger. It got me thinking though...Can I set it up to make a good instrument? You'll have to watch to find out. Good luck

My first time watching one of your videos , and i gotta say .... I'll be watching more !! You made me laugh once or twice !
Sweet. Welcome aboard boss.
I bought a amalgamation of a guitar at a flea market shaped like a fender thinline telecaster but has filtertron type pickups thumbnail inlays paid 100 bucks for it awesome
Those are the best finds... She sounds like a keeper
Great video
Thanks boss. Much appreciated.
Just found your channel when this video was in my suggestions this AM🤓 Those high dollar brand labels are great. But most people don’t need an instrument that costs thousands But don’t listen to me I’ve got about 16 guitars and the most expensive one cost me $1200 and was built in Fenders factory in Mexico My Wolfgang special came out of the box detuned 1/2 step and otherwise set up perfectly You really can’t ask a lot 9f a sub $300 instrument. But you can do a lot with one, if you’re willing to learn how to do your own setups
Hit the nail on the head there mate. Welcome to the family by the way 😉
my other half is not pleased with you , after watching all your videos i,m going to get my first guitar and start learning 👍
Awesome. Absolutely do it. Let me know your budget and ideas on Instagram if you do. There might be a video idea in there 🤔
Brilliant concept. It's going to be very cool. Oh, and that totally unnecessary Stan Marsh cutaway, funniest cutaway ever. 😂
😂 What the Jeff is a Stan Marsh cutaway?
@Milehousestudios sorry! I meant Randy Marsh! 🤦♂️
That is very cool.. Practicing for your apoxy table.. My daughter was given a birds eye teak faced accustic many years ago. The wood is amazing.
It's all about the wood 🤣
@Milehousestudios it really is! I wish I had your knowledge & enthusiasm 💧🌱🌳🌲
Ask Gibson
One thing that I don't hear mentioned enough is that Chibsons are counterfeit. Take it across the border into the US and technically they can seize it.
True for every country. They're being extra vigilant in the US right now though I believe.
We do call it a Calk Gun! I usually say im Calking then chuckle like a 5 year old who heard a fart. Because it does sound a little dirty! lol
🤣
Excellent , fun to watch !
Glad you enjoyed it
Epic!!!
Cheers geezer
Headless normally isn't my thing but really interested in how that body turns out. Perhaps a wall mount with a back light would look great with it.
You'll have to wait for episodes 3's thumbnail 😉
Entertaining as always and you are correct opinion isn't truth. I wasn't going to buy a Chines copy but, some good advice, thank you. Stay well.
Thanks for watching!
I not only own an unbranded Chibson, but a Chibson Kit Guitar from Pango. I assembled the guitar and finished the quilted maple cap in a Honeyburst myself. I did not however use Any of the electronics, tuners, pickups or plastics. Everything was upgraded to high quality parts and set up by a professional guitar tech. The kit was $350. The new parts were close to $500. The set up was another $150. The guitar is Awesome. The equivalent Epiphone Les Paul custom is $1300....Which I Also own... And required a fret level and set up, right out of the box.
Blimey you went full in on that one. I'll bet it's a cracker
Bummer! I liked the limba. Kind of like a maple neck/fretboard but different.
You'll like the replacement too then 😉
I've liked because i liked.....and now i've commented too..👍
Thanks for that
I liked and I've now commented....✌️
Well done, you've been elevated to legendary status. x
That burl and epoxy might be even heavier than my G&L swamp tele. Expect to lose the feeling in your leg Paul😂 Gonna be ace. And I've never figured outthe difference between caulk and sealent either😅
I just weighed it out of curiosity Pete...All finished, 8lb exactly. That's the sweet spot innit?
@Milehousestudios Wow! That's certainly oven ready. And you must have taken half a pound out with that cutout. Fine work sir!
If I attempted to use all these fancy electrical saws and drills n shit I'd end up fingerless like Kenny Everett's DIY guy from the 80s.
🤣 maybe start with a kit guitar then 😉
@Milehousestudios nah, I think I'll just watch you make guitars instead. Much more entertaining and a better outcome.
Chibsons are like Gibsons with a crack habit.
I like that....A les Paul with missing teeth 🤣
Looking forward to the next episode... Was expecting a bit of a Vito Bratta thing but when I saw the body remembered you don't do things the easy way... Be interesting to see if that headstock gets any prettier... Never seen these tuners setup before bit Floyd Ish? Keep up the sterling work pal... Love it... 👍
Cheers mate. Think of this series as 'what sort of headless guitar would someone who doesn't like headless guitars build?' 🤣
Loving this build Paul, the more outlandish & weird, the more interesting! Looking forward to part 2.
Cheers mate. I enjoyed this one...
I don't condone counterfeiting but...I recently was in the market for a Gibson and every one I played was mediocre and didn't stay in tune. For $3K that guitar sure as hell better be fantastic. It's no wonder that people are looking for an affordable alternative.
I do love the rear mounted pickups but I’m struggling to see how I could incorporate that idea into my next build as it will have a tremolo system
That's not something I've thought about to be honest. Smaller routes to keep as much material in as possible. And a heavier, stronger timber maybe. That's a nice idea to tackle in the future.
Duddeeeee you are amazing. Would you build a guitar for me, please?
Certainly mate. Ping me a message on Instagram.
dont call him dave he gets really pissed 😆😆😆
Too late 😂
@@Milehousestudios oh dear how sad never mind
Oak burl ❤
I fucking hate headless guitars. But I'm gonna watch anyway.
🥰 Outstanding 🥰
Many many thanks Chris
Looking forward to this one!! Not a tele fan per se, but I reckon this’ll be bad arse!! Your videos always give me a laugh, so this series will be great. : )
Cheers Johnny.
You lost your head mate!! Blamey thats a very nice piece of wood....headless are my favourite! and although a sweet telly is a nice idea a proper seven stringer, double cut, multiscaled chug monster is what would be really great to see....😬 A good start...bubbling up to be an interesting axe, looking forward to the rest. Cheers mate 👽
Yeah you headless boys do love the crazy gear. I can barely play 6 strings though and this one's for me.. I had to keep it simple 🤣
Fucking love this idea mate, use my regular Harley Benton tele for everything but I wanna play and use a more hybrid modern guitar (for metal or metalcore purposes 😂) and this is a very innovative idea I love your videos and you’re gonna grow your be a well known name in the business I can foresee that for sure
Very kind of you to say boss. Thanks for that. Fingers crossed
You’re welcome mate, cannot stop watching haha
" not pearloid but plastic"...ummmm
I like plasticoid myself 😉
Some are REALLY GOOD AFTER DUMPING ABOUT A GRAND INTO IT! WHY DO THESE VIDEOS? OH YEAH, VIEWS FROM OTHER IDIOTS!
This one's great after a set of strings and some sandpaper mate 🤣 save your grand. To be clear, I still don't recommend buying one, I'm just giving an honest opinion of the guitar on the bench.
@@Milehousestudios I would never buy one so don't worry about me spending anything! I'm just saying why do people keep buying these things, they will probably never go up in value, but then again, who knows! Mate uh? Are you in the good old U.K. or Australia? Could be South Africa?
First off I love your attitude properly British no holds barred nothing put on, my daughter paid £550-£600 for an Epiphone Les Paul and honestly I think it's cheap and not set up, fret buzz all over I'd rather have my £150 Harley Benton Les Paul copy it's miles better.
Yep. Set up is so much more important than the name on the headstock. Cheers mate.
That burl piece is really something else. Looking forward to the next episode of the tele mash-up; carry on, sir!
Thanks, will do!
Got a few. Would never take a 6k guitar on stage (don't own any. Don't want too) with a littlexattention they play and sound great. Could give a toss what people think
That scenario is one that makes perfect sense.
May you grow and grow! You channel I mean, not your height…
Mrs Richards tried the same spell.....Massive fail 🤣
Love it. Should go to 7 videos a week because I don’t want to wait til friday
That'll be dreamy. I'd start with Tuesday and Friday first though I reckon.
