Doc certainly knows his shit. The wiring uses vol/tone/blend... In position 1 ( bridge) the blend knob adds the neck pickup. Position 2 ( bridge and middle) it again adds the neck. In position 3 ( middle) it does nothing. In position 4 ( middle and neck ) it adds the bridge… In position 5 ( neck) it again adds the bridge. His own suggestion. I love them.
@@Milehousestudios That sounds really versatile. When I'd build a guitar (and thats how I stubled on your channel) I'd use one hot humbucker in the bridge, and a volume knob. Most songs I play are so fast I don't have the time to fumble my knobs

As a 65 year old who has just taken up the guitar and has been an avid Pink Floyd fan since I was 9 I have been absolutely glued to these videos. You Sir, are a star. Keep on building.
No words…I’m gobsmacked!!! It’s an amazing build 👍 Gilmour has always been my guitar hero since I saw him in ‘74 when I was a teen - I think he’d be impressed. Keep up the builds and keep making us laugh - don’t listen to the moaners who love to hate anything and everything!!! Looking forward to seeing your next project…
That’s a cracking tribute to gilmour , ignore any simps that trash it mate, keep doing you , and to give that guitar away just shows your class and what kind of decent man you are, and as for the playing, mr gilmour himself would give that a thumbs up, brilliant channel mr Richard’s
Awesome work! I love watching you build 👍 My wife says “Don’t put tools in your crack”….i agree. It’s a beauty, but I’m too old to play, so give it to someone who would love it 👏👏
Some cool trivia about the Black Strats final days. Fender, from 2008 to just before the auction used the same relic process. When David announced the auction for charity. Fender could no longer make, now due to copyright, sell a "David Gilmour Black Strat." However they did honor the final orders that were placed. That last batch of Black Strats are HEAVILY recliced and were made to look as David's Black Strat was at auction. Versus how it looked in 2008. Its neck wear being the most obvious. While I prefer the 08 version it was cool for Fender to give The Black Strat the proper send off.

I would cherish your Gilmour Strat if I was so lucky to win!!!

Another great video Paul, well done. Today was the funeral of Finley Wells (aged 19) boyfriend of my daughter, he sadly lost his long battle with Leukaemia. Such a sad day for his family and everyone that new him. This passage was read out at the service - “It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.” (John Steinbeck) R.I.P. Finley. Sometimes this world just doesn't make sense. Thanks Paul for all you do.
I'm sorry to hear that boss. Stories like that is exactly the reason charity will always be part of the channel. You're right, the world doesn't make sense. It's bloody harsh at times. All the very best.

Not a bad idea. I've got a whacky idea to cap that off too 😉

Another great video Paul, well done. Today was the funeral of Finley Wells (aged 19) boyfriend of my daughter, he sadly lost his long battle with Leukaemia. Such a sad day for his family and everyone that new him. This passage was read out at the service - “It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.” (John Steinbeck)
R.I.P. Finley.
Sometimes this world just doesn't make sense.
Thanks Paul for all you do.
I'm sorry to hear that boss. Stories like that is exactly the reason charity will always be part of the channel. You're right, the world doesn't make sense. It's bloody harsh at times. All the very best.
