In-depth analysis of Littlefinger from Game of Thrones & The Penguin from Batman Saga.
When you really think about it, the parallels between The Penguin and Littlefinger are surprisingly striking-maybe even more so than you might expect. Despite existing in completely different worlds with different kinds of systems, both characters share similar backgrounds, similar manipulation tactics and more importantly have a common understanding of how the world works: Chaos is a ladder.
In fact, this idea of chaos as a ladder comes straight from Littlefinger himself, in one of the most iconic moments of Game of Thrones. But it’s not just a clever line-it’s a powerful statement about survival in broken systems. And when Littlefinger says this to Varys, he’s revealing something deeper than simple villainy.

Go to surfshark.com/valaritas1 for 4 extra months of Surfshark. Todd Phillips' Joker Folie à Deux is a weird movie. Joker is a movie starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. It's manipulative because it seems to destroy everything people lo...
Did Dune Part 2 Really Ruin Chani's Character? | Dune Explained
มุมมอง 6K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
In-depth analysis of Chani from Dune Part Two and Frank Herbert's Dune. Chani is the lover of Paul Atreides. Villeneuve's version of Chani is quite different from the Chani we know from the books. In many ways, his version is a character better suited to our times. She's more active, more skeptical, more relatable to a modern audience. She's pointing out the questions we should ask, voicing the...
What Is Really Taking So Long with The Winds of Winter?

George R. R. Martin has always been known for being a slow writer, but it's been 12 years and people are wondering why Winds of Winter is taking so long. During this time, he hasn't been sitting idle though. He probably either doesn't know how to end it or does but has writers block.
Herbert’s Dune paints Chani as a two dimensional stick figure. Villeneuve’s Chani is more integral to the story as a 3 dimensional, complex, nuanced foil to Paul.
When the show wrapped we were eating dinner and talking about the books. I’m pretty much the only one in my family that read these books. Point is, I said back then, 2018 I think it was, “if winds of winter isn’t released by 2025, it never will” And that prophecy seems to have come true. I hope he’s writing, but I also hope he’s enjoying life.
It's not ladder, it's LADDAH!
Frankly, the scenes with Tyland Lannister were more intresting than the "main story" at this point😂😂
i would agree with this up til season 4. cause after that littlefingers entire character gets thrown out a window
I think you could make the same case for Mackinus from Gladiator 2 being a character of the same trope
Top 3 worst parts of S02 1. Season stopping ending without payoff 2. Alicent's character assassination 3. Daemon doing nothing for the season Honorable mention: The cringe fest with Tyland Lannister and this woman
LEE-toe, not LEH-toe (listen to Emperor Shaddam IV in the 1984 Lynch movie scene of the secret visit of the Guild Navigator). CHAH-nee, not CHIY-nee (the entirety of the Czech mini-series)
This is selfish but I forgive him, for he gave us at the least a sizeable chunk of Elden Ring.
The cruelty he exhibits to keep his mother on life support when she begged him to promise she wouldn't become a mindless vegetable was so painful to watch.
He has a duty to the realm!
Except Oz didn’t get got
neither did Littlefinger. too bad the show got canceled after season 4 😔
Litle finger got caught by sll knowing time travelling magic man. Lazy ass writing
Having not read the Stormlight Archives yet, I still find it absolutely hilarious that Brandon Sanderson managed to write and publish four whole game of thrones size books on top of all of his other madness. A shame I have the work ethic of Martin and not Sanderson
He's been long dethroned by Brandon Sanderson. Forget George. Why bother read twow when it comes out anyway. The story is STILL never going to be finished. All his readers' time invested to end with a shrug of the shoulders. Why would anyone bother to read his stuff in the future knowing that? It's certainly not worth the ride.

AMAZING video! Much thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Littlefinger was much better written and with much more sophisticated actions.
This is so true. I've been telling people from the time i watched the series that the true protagonist of GOT was Littlefinger as per the books. Others were just playing in his world.
To be fair, Littlefinger is a secret self-insert character for George RR Martin himself. Martin wrote a short story called "Meathouse Man" about a lonely empty guy who can't find a meaningful connection with any women who then resorted himself into hedonism and necrophiliac, then made himself rich and powerful by exploiting other people with a firm belief that "love is a lie". This story was inspired by Martin's real life story when he was dumped by his ex-girlfriend so one can say his incel and women-hating mentality seeps through in his works. The main character of Meathouse Man would later become the characters of Littlefinger and Tyrion Lannister in ASOIAF. So yeah, it's understandable why these two are his protagonists and why his story is so nihilistic, full of corruption, death and destruction and extreme cases of sexual assault.
GRRM can't flat out say he will never finish - the backlash would be extreme. I used to believe we'd see at the very least Winds of Winter and that Dream of Spring would remain a dream. Now, I have no faith we will ever see the story continue. I also wonder if the reception to the show conclusion (which I am confident is, in a broad sense, the ending that GRRM envisioned) has forced him to rethink how his story might end.
OMG 😱Great video again thank u bro keep going!
nobody, literally nobody: penguin and littlefinger: chaos is not a pit, it's a parkour of course 🏃♂️
ok but can we talk about how both these dudes started as literal nobodies and ended up being some of the most powerful characters?? CHAOS IS THE ONLY REALITY.
Great video love the comparisons
I can definitely see the parallels between Penguin and Littlefinger. Nice comparison and video.
Love your content. Keep'em coming :)
Vera from Mr Robot has similarities to them as well…
A far more interesting character is roose bolton. Especially the one from the books. You should analyse him next
Pretty Meh speech by baelish. Reminds me of tywins reaponse to him "You say that as if you were the first man alive to think it... Yes, a crisis is an opportunity. What other "brilliant" insights have you brought me today?"
And all of this in front of Arya. Perhaps Littlefinger thought that Bran had heard this from her.
LITTLE FINGER AND PENGUIN GOATED!!!!
Wow amazing video! Thx
Wow, I start to think they ripped of Littlefinger... Good video.
No they didn't.
Do you think Oz Cobb got inspired by Littlefinger?
I didnt see that coming...
No
maybe
More like Tony Soprano
Love your content ❤❤❤❤
He hates God, so God cursed him.
Should we get ai to finish it?
If he wrote 6 pages a day like Stephen King, he would’ve finished the 1500-page Winds of Winter in 250 days. But since he’s building an entire world, we can lower the standards to a page-a-day, he should’ve finished this book in 4 years and 39 days.
"What do we say to the God of Writing ?" GRMM : "Not today".
He's producing books and shows for HBO, to earn millions but forgot what made him famous in the first place, the fans. Dont ever expect to see winds nor dream. He's doing anything but writing
Also, I legit believe the whole ordeal with the TV Show made him self doubt and start a never-ending cycle of modifying his writings.
I don't wanna be a douche, but I find it sad that there is no "Christopher Tolkien" son of his who can carry on his legacy 😢
He should have never have agreed to make the tv series before finishing the books.
Jesus Christ on the other hand never killed humans and died to save the souls of all. Many wanted Him to turn His power on humans but He refused for humanity's sake. His power is shown in the resurrection, in life.
GRRM is not one of the greatest authors of our time or any time. Great authors finish their work before they start publishing their work, they don't publish it one incomplete stage at a time in an epic plot that has no conclusion because they havent thought it up yet and just trust that their muse will hold them for twenty years to get to the finish line. He is a hack, and everyone who bought and read his books wasted their time and money. He will never finish it.
George Martin should be introduced to a GOT Encyclopedia. It helped another gardener writer Oda with plenty of ideas and storylines. Without it the one piece fandom would still be sitting in chairs waiting for it to get 50% complete or maybe hire a p.a who can help him out
Never thought One Piece would end before GOT
Does anyone still give a shit?
