I Put $20 Strings On My Cheap Acoustic and...
I CANNOT ESCAPE IT, THE LICK
😈
I brought some Guyker locking tuners for about £30-40. They work ok, bit of slippage on the B string though, and two are extremely tight to turn, not the best quality I’ve purchased. I’ll be sticking to branded going forward..
Sounds like you got a bad batch. That happens. The ones I got are great and I say that regardless of the sponsorship of the video. For the price, I still say it's hard to beat. Guyker customer service would be more than happy to help with any issues, too, I'm sure.
Guyker is the new Gotoh!
I agree. They have some dope stuff, not just their tuners. Genuinely love their stuff!
@@Electric.Flamingo I have another sets of pegs for my acoustic under the name brand Wilkinson and it's awesome too same as this Guyker. Maybe they came from the same factory...
so..... aside from slightly faster string changing, what good are locking tuners? I have two sets and neither improved tuning stability, so I am just on the hunt for a solid reason to upgrade to these on any guitar.
Well, locking tuners don't increase tuning stability any more than any other quality set of tuners. It's kind of a misconception in the guitar world, I think. It literally serves to make string changes faster. Plus...they look dope.
@@Electric.Flamingoso really not much of a reason to get them then. The time saved when changing strings is negligible at best. Ball end frets is another one I need someone to explain the benefit of. I think your last remark kinda summarizes the whole thing. Quality is pretty universal now, so aesthetics is all that's left to sell on.
@@riffsnoleads I think they’re supposed to help when playing live (most players I know don’t always have a spare guitar), snap a string is a quick fix with lockers, I can change a string in about a minute or two. I also do think to do help on guitars with trems, they certainly don’t hurt when you have a bit of a sticky trem system. Plus they look cool in my opinion, not just a mod for mods sake.
I got the same Tele from Zzounds. The bridge was like a 2 year old installed the saddles, and was totally unplayable. I got "That's the way they come sometimes. You need to get a setup" as a response from them. Its fixed now, and is a grwat guitar. Why buy from them when you get the same trash that manufacturers send direct? My Love Drops V came from Sweetwater. The G string nut slot was pinging, and the bridge pickup was slanted towards the bridge. I told my sales Rep, and they paid to have a pro setup done to correct all the problems. That's a level of service that you can't seem to get anywhere else these days. 😊
That's a shame that Zzounds didn't take responsibility for that. It it was just a set up, they could have fixed that. Sweetwater is great! I had a problem with my Hot Dogger and they fixed it right up, sent a can of Dioxit for the pot and it was all good! How's that V playing, that wad a surprise drop that I was curious about.
Fadel Fords
MAN! those are stunning! I've heard lots of good things about Guyker so ill have to check these out for my own Tele!
You hear about them a lot for a reason. They really are awesome tuners! Check 'em out, great affordable upgrade!
Appreciate you taking the time to let us hear both mics,
Absolutely. Want to give it a fair chance all around!
Aufderhar Prairie
Nice flight rig
It really is.
Saying it’s an Axe/fx or Kemper for $80 is like saying a Ford Fiesta is a Ferrari for $10000. It clearly isn’t!
It's almost like it's clickbait. 😱
The inspiration is obviously my hero
Not a bad guess, actually. I could hear it.
Why does the new headstock cost more though? It’s just a different shape. It’s like Gibson is dangling the carrot and doling out Gibson-esque features like breadcrumbs and upping the price exponentially.
Precisely
@@Electric.Flamingo Well that’s a dick-move lol. If the headstocks cost the same to produce, just put the closer one on ALL Epiphone IBG guitars.
Well, I mean they are putting their $500 custombuckers in there too...because you know, $500 pickups make anything sound amazing or whatever. 🤷♂️
@@Electric.Flamingo I get the pickup thing, but the headstock is proof they have the means to put it on their more budget guitars at no extra cost and they just don’t. I dunno, the transparent greed of a massive corporation is still disappointing even if it’s not all that surprising.
Bro are the fret jumbo
Not jumbo, maybe medium jumbo? Either way, they are nice frets.
@@Electric.Flamingo bro is it good for thrash metal... Actually i am only woried abt the jumbo frets.. 🙂
@MusicalBoys18 good for all around, really. Thrash away!
Sounds like the 40 dollar Zoom and not in a good way.
Frederik Plaza
I really liked how those sounded. Picked up a set, thanks
They feel as good as they sound! Glad I could help! ⚡️🦩
Great job, congrats!!! The best review that I been seen. Greetings.
Thanks!
This baby makes a hell of nice NOISE….ha ha ha
well, it's obvious that you're gay.But those rings are ugly.I don't understand what women do it.
Robert’s video is 7 years old. That info isn’t exactly relevant. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the decisions of the trade in are made by the sales associate who happens to be standing behind the counter when you walk up and inquire. It’s the luck of the draw. When the dummy pulls up an eBay listing for a broken guitar for $160 that’s what he thinks they can get for your actual guitar. Because he’s an idiot. 😂 However…. This also leads to amazing low prices on used gear. I got a used guitar easily worth $500 for $299
Would be cool if you could use it as a midi switcher
I agree
Whether you like this kind of digital gear or not, it is a testament to how inexpensive or cheap SMT / surface mount technology is to make. 99% of FX pedals made today are SMT builds. Boutique gear means nothing today, I digress. Think about $12.00 per unit but you pay 199.99 Cheap micro parts that can't be repaired. I find these greedy #$$%%^ disgusting. A EYE has taken over the industry because guitars, amps, pedals , keys ETC. are dirt cheap to make. The only ones who benefit is them. Do your research. They play on your ignorance, don't be a dumb as.
sunbject to colour the Gold is the way to go, you chop the hun with a pedal and if you need it its back. The blue limits your creativity and versatility.
I believe there are any "limitations" to creativity or versatility with it. The very nature of a Junior "limits" all of that, but at the end of the day, some hum in the pickup isn't going to do that.
I had never heard of Youngblood until your video…and of course I bought one. I absolutely love it and I mainly own Gibsons. This is an amazing deal.
It's a great guitar, regardless of the name associated with it! It's an awesome deal!
I would have to have the cream colored pups! Looks like it would be comfortable sitting in a recliner to play on your lap. I have a BC Rich Exclusive with 24 frets and I love it.
Cream looks so good on just about anything! I've come to realize a lot of these "pointy" brands are actually comfy to play. BC Rich, Dean, all of them.
The amp models and IRs sound really good for being a cheap Chinese multi-effect. Great little fly-rig! Definitely worth the price, and more. I mean, it can't compete with anything like a Kemper, QC, Helix or Axe-FX, but it can definitely compete with the likes of the Tech21 fly-rigs (which it is probably based off) and other smaller modellers.
I agree 100%
I own this guitar too, and I love finding videos on it! Im still a newbie and this is my first and only guitar. Always frustrated me why I couldn't easily find it online and why I never saw people playing it until I learned its kinda rare! For sure never getting rid of it, its a sexy guitar with sexy ladies on the frets its perfect hahaha
It's such a great guitar all around. Definitely hold on to it if you can!
If you change preset. The mark on the Poti is not on the value you have saved. This makes it difficult to refine or adjust the settings. The same issue as boss ME series. I don’t like this solution very much. If you like totsage your settings better use Zoom oder Line 6
That’s some nice picking there.
Why thank you! ⚡️🦩
Kassulke Spurs
What does that even mean?
It sounds like it's down in a well. 👎
Yeah, it isn't great. Very thin and "bees in a tin can" sounding
What type of mic are you using?
A Behringer, I believe. I'm not entirely sure, I didn't buy the mic, the guy I work for did.
Nice video dude! I’ve got the Paul Stanley Mikro, I love it for songwriting, making tabs, etc. I’ve never really had much of an issue with it going out of tune easier than a full size.
I want to try one of those Paul Stanley ones. They look awesome!
Thank you for your work and feedback.
Absolutely! ⚡️🦩
Honesty is always appreciated with this kind of review. If they are listening and are a reputable company, they'll make the changes the best they can.
I hope so. It has a lot of potential to be a cool amp, but the Distortion needs to be revamped. I think Lekato make great products, but this isn't one of them, as it stands.
Hey bro... I have the 2006 with gold hardware. Is this Korina wood ?
The one in the video is not, it is mahogany. If you're asking about yours, if it is painted, it most likely isn't Korina. Those typically aren't painted, since the whole gimmick is the look of the wood with those.
@@Electric.Flamingo I thought the ones with the gold hardware might be different. The other aspect of korina is the tone is meant to be a bit more honky (which mine is), and the whole guitar is very light. Can you weigh your and do a comparison?
@tomb8430 I don't have thr guitar anymore to weigh it.
Love how Epiphone has been knocking it out of the park ever since the Inspired by series. This is just another fantastic deal. Putting Gibson to shame as of late.
My thoughts exactly. The Inspired By stuff is fantastic. I played an Inspried by Gibson Custom Explorer (the '58 Korina one) months ago and I think about it often. It was soooooooooo good.
@@Electric.Flamingo I have the lp special in TV yellow and it is fantastic! Especially with that fat neck!
Does it sound decent if you use it with headphones? Is it just the speaker that's terrible?
Oh yeah, it sounds great with headphones. Just the tiny speaker that sounds like ass. lol
@@Electric.Flamingo Thank you for replying! I needed an amp that I can use with headphones (neighbors and roommates) and the only seller of this amp doesn't accept returns so I really appreciate the input
p90 silencer sounds better to me, little more dynamics going on in regard to harmonics and overtones/undertones
Thanks for the input! I dig the Silencer too, myself.
I got a randy road model with a neck binding. And a serial number engraved in the fretboard near the neck pick up. Has a j in the number.
Very nice!
I hate this all split image captcha, like with bicycle. It could be a square which has a part of a handle and you sit and think "Does this count as a part?". And I never get it right
I just got mine yesterday and I can confirm 100% that the frets are seriously sharp.. A bit disappointed that Ibanez quality control let us all down.
Yeah, it's a bit of a let down when you get this cool little guitar and can't really even play it
Please can someone tell me the value of this guitar
Between $150 - $250 depending on condition, I'd say.
@@Electric.Flamingo even if it was like brand new you would value it around that price still??
You could maybe get $300 if it's mint. I'm going based on what I see them sell for at Guitar Center. Usually pretty reliable.
So there's the JS32 line, the X Series, and the KEX. I was looking at the JS32 lineup, do you still recommend those?
Absolutely. The JS32 line is great for the money. Can't go wrong with any model there, really.
@@Electric.Flamingo thank you very much! Appreciate the feedback
Jack white is jerk
Anybody with that obnoxious bovine look…instant pass.
Great demo! Between Donner, Joyo, Flamma. and Mooer, there's never been a better time buy good, inexpensive pedals!
Absolutely. Check out some Lekato stuff, too. They make some great stuff too!
I'd never heard his music prior to this whole thing but I really don't get the hate. I mean, sure, it's not my cup of tea, either, but who cares? He doesn't seem to be a "force of negativity", so to speak, in the world, he doesn't appear to bother anyone and I've got to say the few songs of his I listened to were quite good for that sort of music. Plus, if this motivates younger people to start playing how could this be bad? Saying that he is not Page/Clapton is like saying we shouldn't listen to anything post Bach/Mozart etc just because they are not them. P.S.: I, also, really like the guitar, I would seriously consider it if I was shopping for a guitar right now.
It's because he isn't a big name in the music world and is therefore "not worthy."
@@Electric.Flamingo that’s the thing, though, apparently he is quite a big name in younger circles. My nephew is 14 years old and quite a fan. It’s a bit like that Simpsons skit with the old man yelling at a cloud. Enjoy the guitar, mate, she’s a beauty!
