- It's true...in all my time of playing guitar, I have never even TOUCHED a wireless system. Until today. A company called Lekato reached out to send me the Lekato WS-80 Wireless System to check out for you guys! How is my experience? Do you own this one or an equivalent?

Wireless is so good and cheap now. I remember in '07 I had to plug an antennae box into my amp and then a big ass pack that I had to clip onto my guitar strap and even then it was pretty shitty. And it costed about 250 bucks. So awesome how good these things are now!
I've seen those before. Such a pain. lol. These are awesome for like small venues or really just general play, I love it!
I have the JOYO brand JW-03 wireless system. It looks exactly like the Lekato brand. Same cat eye units and the same box. Just branded differently. I believe these affordable MIC wireless sets are made with the same parts, and most made in the same factory. There is another that is packaged just like the Lekato and the JOYO, though I can't recall the brand.
They all have the same specs, 100 feet, 4-5ms latency and $40.00-$50.00 price. I have two guitarist friends who do bar gigs with the JOYO brand. Downside is you have to recycle or discard them when the batteries lose their don't hold a charge anymore.
I kind of figured they were all the same, especially based on the Lekato website, but still pretty impressive for $40, I think.
@@Electric.Flamingo I totally agree...
Seems ok. But I still prefer a system that have the transmitter to put on the strap, plugged in the guitar by just a jack.

For $40, it's still a great option for anyone who needs a backup or just getting into wireless.
Hate to be the one but..
Who needs wireless? I am not Bruce Springsteen or playing in AC/DC. 😂
Who needs more than one guitar? More than one amp? Don't "need" them, just want them. Same with this.
Not really a need, some people just want one or prefer it. I'll be traveling soon and it will be much easier to take this wireless set and a small amp than fussing with a cable, I think. Not that it's a huge inconvenience with the cable, but it's just one less thing to deal with.
@@Electric.Flamingo a cable is more convenient imo. Plug it in and go. No battery or frequency stuff to deal with. Dont forget that a cable sounds better. ;)))
We made our kids already, so a little more radiation is fine I guess.
The advantage for me is that I can play guitar and the cables don't get wrapped up in the casters of my wheelchair. I've been paralyzed since 1988. If I am using effects, the receiver goes into the first pedal or effect in the signal chain. I cannot hear the difference between a cable and my JOYO wireless.
