@@Alkaizer8 That's what I mentioned in the description. Before the Patch a few weeks ago there was a glitch where having a Magic Shield like Fire Wall up with Shadow Servant makes it so that it doesn't run out.

They did end up fixing this bug in the recent patch. Personally I'm a big fan of them fixing it, but it obviously makes Romancing Difficulty harder. But there are definitely ways to get past this boss even without the glitch.

@@desa35 Out of curiosity, I noticed your enemy strength was lvl 46. Is that the absolute max, or is it lvl 48?

​@@RichardDong68 I didn't know at this point that 46 is not the maximum Enemy Level. Given that you start at 34 (If I remember correctly) max Enemy Level would be 50, but I haven't tested it all that much. But it doesn't matter for this fight as this one has the same stats no matter your neemy level. I can confirm this from Data Mining which a friend of mine did.

They don't double your stats, but two handed weapons apply their Attack Stat twice, once per hand. That's why they are this powerful.

Call Lightning is a Fusion Spell between Hydrology and Aerology. Fire Wall makes you immune to Hydrology and Pyrology damage, meaning that Call Lightning gets blocked cause it is partially Hydrology.

@@Collinity You're thinking of Arc Lightning. That one is Cosmology + Terrology. Luckily Seven Heroes don't have access to that spell.

@@desa35 in the OG on snes rubber boot gave lightning resist I think that why I might be confused, any tip for the volcano core for saving salamander in Romancing Mode , the earrhquake each turn is too brutal for me ?

​@@Collinity I never did that fight on Romancing as I got Umbrology but Light Wall would help a lot. Survivor and a (likely Magic) Defense Formation on top of that as well as Earth Benison from the Mole and the Earth Ring (Cyfreet Castle Mimic) would make that easier for you.

My Diviner was set up with some Speed Equipment as well as the Light Infantry Ability "Light as a Feather" to basically ensure that he always is faster than the boss. Using Dragon Stance also gives you a fixed turn order. As long as your front guy is allowed to attack before the boss the rest of your guys will attack in the order they're are placed from front to back.

@@desa35 Interesting, does it also let you always attack first, even if enemies break your formation on the battlefield?

@@RichardDong68 No, if your formation gets broken you of course don't reap any formation benefits

You can definitely survive the Unison Attack x7, but it is super strong and hard to survive You can kill them before they do it as you can see here

@desa35 i survived it with Light Wall spam and Reviver. My Final emperor is built for dmg dealer but she's busy spamming Light Wall just so I can survive the 7Heroes spam... they really shouldve tested this boss fight first.

@@warcatbattalion They very likely tested the fight, I'd be surprised if they didn't. It's just meant to be a difficult fight.

@@desa35 Sure, but the difficulty spiked way too much. It's the most difficult enemy by far. The 7th Hero meanwhile is weak as hell. If they wanted to design the final boss this difficult, they really should've made each of 7 Heroes fight way harder so the difficulty is consistent.

@@warcatbattalion the game has scaling difficulty it makes sense that the 7 combined would be absurdly hard. Still a fun challenege though.

I know, I was hoping it would block Plasma Thrust but it ended up not mattering. Ultimately the shield didn't matter much for this strategy.

It's still faster to get them regardless. It's not about difficulty but about rarity and some things are still rare.

There is a mod that allows you to skip it on PC

Pharoahmon is not a story trigger. He's only needed if you plan on getting the Legendary Weapon Eternally, since he gives the Old Wand.

The problem is that getting Gallantmon takes to long. By the time you unlock Gallantmon you are already done with the game

@@desa35 yeah but atleast skill counter are good if u ignore def up but using evo blast gauge could be good too unless his hp above 4k using counter abilites

Correct, I was doing the speedrun on Beginner as that is the fastest category. The other difficulties aren't as interesting cause it mostly caues problems when grinding cards and fighting enemies.

@@desa35I play on my cell phone and even at 60 fps, the steps are faster, the battle starts much faster

@@zLiRYo7 So for one you can't really compare a Cellphone / Smartphone playing the game to real Hardware running the game. A Cellphone, especially older one, will run the game slower cause it doesn't have the hardware to do so even if it is much stronger than a PSX was. Emulation is very inaccurate a lot of times, but you can change settings to make it faster. My run was done on an actual PS2 (SCPH-90001 if you care for the exact model) running the american release of the game. If you're playing Digimon World 2003 (The one with Kurt etc at the end) you're going to be running a slower game cause that is a european PAL release which, even if the emulator says 60fps, only runs on 50fps and is therefore slower than the NTSC (american) version. Battles start faster because the PS2 has the option to activate "Fast Disc Speed" which massively increases the speed at which the console loads the content from the disc.

It doesn't, that's why I did another run called "All Achievements" which is also on my channel if you want to check that out.

Turbo buttons are most of the time not allowed for speedrunning. Only a low amount of games allow it which this one is not part of. So yes, just mash like crazy.

It only really freezes if you have a pirated copy or a scratched disc, my disc has only ever had 1 issue that slowed the game down but not crashes

@desa35 for me, mainly scratches. Makes it suck. I do wish for a remake or something though.
