Hello~ A bourbon with a butterscotch or caramel bomb... I would recommend ASW Fiddler Georgia Heartwood, preferably a store pick or a Maker's Mark 46 Cask Strength / The Heart Release (if it's available in your area) or Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Cask Strength. Some other sweeter profiles that's a little unique would be Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered and Still Austin Cask Strength bourbon. Hey Tommy! Don't worry, I'm not big enough to make a difference to their customer base 🤣. There might be a person or two that might see this video from that area, but most are from out of California. Also, most bourbon/whiskey people around SoCal already knew about this place through a certain Facebook group with a certain hunter who promoted this place (which is how I found out about this place) so I'm certain you won't see any difference when you go to the store. I also purposely didn't feature any Buffalo Trace allocated products to limit those type of viewers. Let's just share the love of a good store with good people and good prices to some people who just want to not go to their local big box store 😉. Have a wonderful day and cheers~

Unfortunately, you'll get used to bundles real quick here in California 🙄. Only places that doesn't do bundles (yet) are the big box stores (total wine, bevmo) and grocery stores. Small independent mom and pop shops in the area have to do so with their allocated whiskeys to stay in business. I have a talked to many liquor store owners and it has mostly to do with the 3 tier system and what the distribution company requires them to buy to get the allocated bottles. It's complicated but I would recommend if you have time to go into your local store (or hi proof) and just talk to them about it. Hopefully this helps! Have a wonderful day and cheers~

I have been going here for the past couple of months and they are a joy to shop at. Prices are good, people are nice, and the store is clean. Hey Brian! I understand their concerns but there is a reason why 90% of the bottles I highlighted were non-allocated or whiskeys you can find in other stores (Total Wine, etc.) as I want to help the business but not make it so they just get the people who come in and want the Staggs or Wellers. But also I'm not big enough to make a huge difference in any stores, so they shouldn't be too worried. I'm hoping the video will help people like you who just want to shop at a nice store with good prices ✌. I truly appreciate your view and comment! Thank you so much and cheers~

Frey Ranch is doing some fantastic things and if you haven't been able to find their Rye Single Barrel Barrel Strength or the Single Grain 100% Wheat single barrels... you need to find one asap! I'm not too familiar with the SF or the Bay Area, but how is Mission Liquor? I do shop from their online store from time to time, but because they are so far and I'm allergic to shipping fees, they are not one of the my go to stores unfortunately. When buying bourbon never have it shipped man. Things will always go wrong. Best to just ask if they have a will call that holds for a couple of weeks and just pick up a big batch.

Hey Jason! Sorry to hear that. Since I can visit, I haven't ordered anything through shipping with them but this is the first time I'm hearing of a bad experience. Best to try to keep emailing and calling unfortunately 😩. I would also claim a file with the shipping company as that might work as well. Only ones I mentioned was joseph magnus cigar blend, wild turkey generations, and the four gate (maybe). All other bottles are whiskeys you can get anywhere just at a better price. I'm hoping with this video, hi proof will get more customers that will want the shelf ready whiskeys, which is how they stay in business 😉. I'm sure I'm not big enough to tilt any store one way or the other and this store was already famous with most So Cal whiskey enthusiasts 😆. But I agree with you, there were many stores (that we all know) went to the dark side. But it's also our fault. We kept going there and buying from them. Hey Steve! In my recent "buy more or never more" video, I upgraded the rating to "hold" or try before you buy as the allocation became much better. But it's just not my jam. I am in NC and prices are crazy high in our AbC system compared to this. This store is amazing. Widow jane 10 here in Raleigh the last I checked was $85! It is good, but don't know if I can justify $85 for it.

Yup, moved to San Diego from Ohio a few years ago and found the only thing cheaper out here was the booze. Apparently there’s no state minimum pricing like it is in Ohio.
