IMO Bourbon hunting is about getting bottles at MSRP. I would pay twice MSRP for BTAC or STAGG (JR). Other than that, my recommendation is to chase pours (not bottles) to relieve the FOMO. Friends or bars have these most of the time. A lot of bottles like EH Taylor Small Batch and Elmer T Lee are overrated. If you find a pour of GTS, WFP or EHT BP, pop on it. A pour of GTS is $40 where I live and worth it to try.
@@90sMallArcade I agree that having pours at the bar at reasonable prices is a good alternative to paying crazy secondary prices, but I'll be honest, experience is the best teacher 😆. You're right in that most of the bottles are overrated and there are great "available" bourbons on the shelf (that is probably cheaper as well), but I also had to have a bottle to find out for myself how overrated they are 😂. I wish we all just listened to our elders and learned from listening, but we are all humans and I guess we all want to experience it for ourselves 😆. I need to go to that bar with a GTS pour of $40. I would probably finish the bottle in one sitting 🤣🤣
I just got my first off all these today. I paid $45 for eagle rare. $65 for EH Taylor BIB and $65 for Weller 107. So $175 for those all. First of all those bottles for me. Did I do ok?
I just got my first off all these today. I paid $45 for eagle rare. $65 for EH Taylor BIB and $65 for Weller 107. So $175 for those all. First of all those bottles for me. Did I do ok? I also bought a single barrel Old Forester store pick for $90. Is that ok?
Really enjoyed this video and felt your assessment of each bottle was spot on. Appreciate that you provided a “first time” price because I think it is worth it to spend a few extra bucks if you’ve been unable to try it.
It's because I remember trying to obtain my first bottles and how exciting and nervous I was when I had to make that decision 😆. Just anything in life, once you experience it, the next experience is a little less valuable and bourbons are no exception to that rule. Hopefully days will come where this won't be an issue and we all will be able to buy at msrp! Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers ~
😆 Thanks a million! Take your time as the videos are going anywhere and let me know what I'm doing well now or what you want me change so I can provide better videos in the future. Have a nice cool day and cheers~
Hey Wade! Hopefully this information will be useless soon when we can find all of it at MSRP! 😆. I greatly appreciate you always viewing and commenting on my videos! Thank you so much and cheers~
I bought Blanton’s for $80 yesterday, in Illinois it never goes below $70, so i found it to be worth it. I think it’s an incredibly drinkable and tasty pour, a total crowdpleaser and it’s obviously a very pretty bottle on my shelf. I think it’s worth $80 in today’s economy, but as a bartender I remember when it was like $50 7 or 8 years ago
I think prices for almost everything 7 or 8 years ago was... nice 😆. It seems I make more money these days but I still can't afford anything 🤔. But blanton's is a good pour and if you enjoy it, especially with friends, then it's worth every penny! 😉 Thanks a million for your view and comment! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
My local liquor store had Blanton's for $80, snagged one as I've never tried it before. They said $80 was the lowest they could go & that they couldn't even give the 5% store member discount on that. A bit disappointed I got it for higher than MSRP but excited to give it a try.
Honestly, that's a great price for a first bottle and now you'll get to try for yourself the most wanted bourbon ever 😆. Once you have a pour, let me know how you like it! Have a fantastic memorial day weekend and cheers ~
Hey Dana! Too many bottles and definitely too much money spent on Whiskey 😂. I need to slow down do what you did and not buy for a couple of months 😆. We'll see how long I can keep this up. Always super appreciate your views and comments so soon after video posted! Thanks for everything and take care my friend ~
I feel that what you and Baker Drinks has been saying makes more and more sense now. Quality over quantity. I have so many good bottles that I don’t even have time to enjoy. I have been finding myself going back to the better than good bottles. They are all good but I don’t want to settle for good when I have better bottles on my bar. I now know what everyone has been saying. Thanks again. D
@@danawollam1805 Like Troy said in his video, once you have one (value bourbon), you had it all. The quality bourbons really does separate themselves with nose and palate that are not like any other "value" bourbons. Time to use your gift card my friend 😆
I paid $50 for ER, EHT SmB I paid $80 after talking it down from $120. I drastically overpaid for Blantons, Blantons Gold and Stagg. I paid $40 for each of the BT Kosher bottles. If I could get Stagg near msrp I would definitely buy more! I just joined and am glad to be a member, cheers David.
Hey Jonathan! Thanks for joining the TH-cam Membership! I know the perks ain't great right now, but I will keep evolving to give you as much value and entertaining content as much as I can! 50 for ER and 80 for EHT SmB are good buys as you just can't go wrong with either of them. I drink them too fast sometimes and need to remind myself there are other bottles on the shelf 😆. BT Koshers at that price is amazing as I haven't seen those below $80 so I haven't got one yet 🤣. Like I said in the video, sometimes you have to pay for greatness and overpaying for Stagg and Blanton's Gold is fine, long as you can afford to do so and enjoy the pours 😁. I did the same for my first bottles, but it gave me the prospective to know how much those pours are worth the next time I see one. Blanton's, again, the experience and knowing you had one is worth it. I overpaid for a Blanton's before I started my channel last year as I didn't have one in a while and knew there was no way I can discuss bourbons without remembering what Blanton's experience was 😄. It is the most talked about bourbon in the world and for a good reason. If there are anything you want to see as a member, please let me know!! Always truly appreciate your views and comments right after the video is posted (and now the membership!). Thank you for everything and cheers~
@WhiskeyBank I can send you or trade you my Kosher bottles if you would like. I can routinely get these bottles at around $40. I have two of the 3 unopened right now. Wheat and rye recipe. I ll be ordering the str8 rye nxt week. Let me know if your interested. I might be in L.A. weekend of June 7th. I dont know how far that is from you, but if it's close maybe I could hand you the bottles instead of shipping them. Anyway, let me know what you think.
@@jonathansantana6239 hey Jonathan! Super appreciate your offer but I'll pass for now as I got so many bottles to drink and review currently 😆. But if your in the LA area and you come down to the OC area, maybe we can meet up just to talk whiskey. My email is in my description of the video so let me know and let's see if we can work something out 😎
Nice video, but my problem with these is a "most I will pay price" that is in between retail and actual secondary. I've seen Stagg at retail and at $200, but I've never seen it at $130, and doubt I ever will. The only question that matters is "Is it worth secondary?"
That's true, it is rare to see prices in-between retail and secondary. But sometimes there are sales (holidays, etc) that could do it or a bundle (if you want the other bottles) that brings it lower than secondary. Or sometimes you can negotiate with an owner. I have done that many times when I buy a bottle of something I need. Hopefully this don't matter and we'll all be able to find these wonderful bottles at retail! 😆 (one can dream 😎). Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
"I am willing to pay for greatness and Stagg is greatness in a bottle" and I stand by that statement 😆. Just like people probably overpay for a beach front property, I will overpay slightly for a Stagg as I know I'll love it compared to some other bottles that might be a hit or a miss 😄. Thanks a ton for visiting my channel! I love your videos and will continue to learn from the master!
For your first Stagg, as long as it's within your budget, it's a great buy! Once you have a pour, let me know how you like it 😆. Have a wonderful weekend and cheers ~
Hey Dave! Those are reasonable prices for the Blanton's and EH Taylor 👍. Let's hope we can all find a Stagg this year for good prices in 2024! Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers~
Good video but where do you live? Location makes a HUGE difference in the availability and subsequent pricing on these bottles. I live in Birmingham, AL and in the last 5 years I can say that I have never found ANY of the bottles you just reviewed in the stores. Not even Buffalo Trace. The only way you can get these bottles is through the state-wide lottery. And most of the time the stores never have more than 15-20 of ER & Wellers. 10-15 of EHT, 8-10 Blantons, 5 (maybe) of Stagg. So even if you get in the lottery you better have a low number to even get a chance to purchase one. So if I came across one of these in the stores I would be willing to pay probably 50% more that you would. Not happy about it but that's what allocated means. (Note: Online alcohol purchase is illegal in AL - no stores will ship here.)
I absolutely agree Location matters a ton and your experience will differ greatly. I'm in Southern California where we are fortunate to have a large population that drinks but doesn't drink bourbons (wine, vodka, sake, soju, tequila, etc.) So our allocation of bourbons are better than most parts of the country 😎. I complained about our allocation and then I started this channel and realized how lucky we are after hearing stories like yours. 😆 But the good news is that allocation seems to be getting better here so hopefully it'll get better for you very soon! Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
Love the video and from my knowledge on what you've recommended, I completely agree with pricing and first time bottle price. I'm newer into the Bourbon scene, and I've been able to get Eagle Rare, EHT SB, and Blantons all at nearly MSRP, But the Weller has been unobtainable to me, Cheapest i can find Special Reserve for is $80 a bottle, CYPB around me is being listed at $800 a bottle. Really wanting to try the Weller 107, just to let that part of me rest lol. Out of the 3 bottle's I've listed about finding at MSRP, i"d say EHT was my favorite, Eagle Rare at a very close second, wasn't too impressed by Blantons, I'd take a Redwood Empire CS over it any Day.
Might wanna add, I'm on the west coast, i see Buffalo Trace and Sazerac Rye everyday for $25 a bottle. We do get allocated stuff, but its the big names that bring the markups. I'm close w/ my local big chain grocery liquor manager, so i was able to grab the above at nearly MSRP.
Hey TR! Thank you so much for the awesome compliment 😊. If you're new to the bourbon scene, but can find those bottles at MSRP, you're already ahead of many of us 😆. Having a good relationship with your liquor manager at your local store is probably the best way to get most bourbons these days at MSRP, at least in the West Coast. Let's hope the supply side gets even better in 2024 and you'll be able to find the Weller 107 and others close to MSRP soon! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank Liquor managers love it when you just stop and chat with them, bonus points when you bring them some homeade beef jerkey. I've gotten great results from that, I gotta call today from one manager who said they've got some Eagle Rare in stock and are holding a bottle for me ; )
Hey Dave! That Weller Full Proof is a good one, but I haven't seen one in a while as well. It seems they are release more later in the year so let's both keep an eye out on it soon 😆. Let's also hope we can find everything at msrp soon so I don't have to make any more of these types of videos 😄 (one can always dream). I greatly appreciate you always viewing and commenting on my videos! Thank you so much and cheers~
I agree with you on a lot of these. Unfortunately in my area these are all unicorns. Every now and then a sellers reserve or a tater tube will appear but always at the crazy prices! Blanton is around $250
Hey Bubba! That is so unfortunate 😭. It is amazing how allocation is so different state by state, city by city even. Hopefully supply will get better and we all will be able to find these wonderful bottles at msrp soon! 😆 (one can dream). Thanks a million for your view and comment! Absolutely appreciate it and cheers ~
Bonjour David, I missed this video release a few days ago. We are in Paris visiting our daughter who is going to school here for three months. Great video again, I have/had every one of those bottles and paid pretty much msrp on all. I love Stagg too, I don’t think I’d pay over $100 but I suppose if it was a 22A I might splurge.
Hey Jim! Of course if you don't need to pay over MSRP for these bottles, you shouldn't! 😆. As you saw, I do enough hunting and try to make good relationships to get some bottles at MSRP, but most people don't have the time or the energy to do so. I pay with my time and effort, while some do with money 😄. But I hope the day comes soon where we all can see these bottles just sitting on the shelf at MSRP and we can get them when we want, not when we can (one can dream 🤣). Have a wonderful time in Paris and hope you find some great bottles while having some wonderful wines! I truly appreciate you always viewing and commenting on my videos! Thank you so much and cheers~
It was like that around here until only recently. Let's hope the trend continues and these wonderful whiskeys become more available and prices decrease 😆 Happy Holidays and cheers~
Curious to see what your price for Weller FP would be. My dumb self bought it for $225 here in NorCal. Although it’s one of the best Bourbons I’ve had I would probably pay $150 at the most
I would agree the most I would pay for a Weller full proof is around $150 for my first one. Obviously a little more for a store pick. But if you enjoyed it, it's all good~ Have a fantastic weekend and cheers ~
Spot on video. My problem is I love all whiskey so gets expensive buying bourbon, Irish, Scotch, ryes and all other whiskey I try and stay under $100 for bourbons and rye with 55-88 being the main. But there are so many now in the 80-110 range that are good and available while lower cost great bottles are unavailable in my state and region. For Irish & some Scotch I find myself ordering from Europe retailers a lot more than I ever did in the past and now for what should be basic bottles. Example Blue Spot Irish Whiskey is $289 in US now but I can get it for under $100 overseas. I just order 8-16 bottles and the shipping costs are not bad and still save a ton of money while getting more whiskey. Rather buy locally but not wasting hundreds of dollars to do so. Only bottle I tatered up and overpaid for was Hancock Presidential Reserve for $99. Only had ever seen it for over $400 and wanted to try it and have it in shelf (it is a good 45-55 bottle 😂) I have gotten addicted to Barrel Grey Label Seagrass and that is probably my most expensive bottle on my daily drinker area of bar and sits surrounded by my JTS Brown ,Benchmark Bonded and Sagamore Rum cask.
Hey John! If your into all whiskeys, then you have so many good choices on the shelf that you'll probably run out of money just staying whiskeys on the shelf 😆. And if you also shop overseas online, then well.... that must be nice! Only shopping I do overseas is when I'm in Korea and I can get some Wild Turkey 12 or 13 cheap 🤣. I'm exploring a little into single malts and scotch, but as you can see with my haul videos, if I ever got into those, I would really be broke 😅. I need to try that Barrel Grey Label Seagrass as I love the normal Seagrass! Always super appreciate you viewing and commenting on my videos right after it is posted! So grateful for all your support and cheers~ P.S. Your samples were sent out today as there was a communication error and I thought it was sent out on Saturday 😅.
Well I have been drinking whiskey for over 40 years so it is not like it happened overnight 🙂but the collector gene for bottles didn't start until much more recently now that I have time and do a lot more traveling. Hoping to go to Japan for a month in a couple years and will definitely be buying suitcases to bring back , hopefully, some gems. The Grey Label is nothing like the regular Seagrass. @@WhiskeyBank
I wish I wasn't able to make these videos and all the bottles I listed were available at msrp all the time... but that's just not reality for most people these days 😒. Hopefully those days will be back sooner than later! 🙏 Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
Cheapest I've been offered Stagg 18 was 150 shipped, and I bit the bullet. No regrets, since the ones I've came across in person were all 250+. When I first got into bourbon, I really wanted an ER, and paid 75 for it, then luck hit and I now got 9 all at SRP.
Hey Minh! Those are good prices to pay and I'm sure you enjoyed every last drop of that Stagg! Like I said in the video, it's unfortunate we have to pay over MSRP, but mind as pay a little more for a Stagg than pay MSRP for "good" bottles as I am willing to pay for greatness 😆. But let's hope 2024 is a turning point and we find more of these great bottles at reasonable prices! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
As always I love the logical way you laid out this video. By adding never owned before you made this realistic way to view pricing. Appreciate the effort
Hey RJ! I wish I didn't have to make these videos and we were all able to find these wonderful bottles at msrp all the time! 😆. Hopefully with Buffalo trace increasing capacity, this will be a non issue in the years to come 🙏. Always appreciate your views and comments so soon after video launch! Thanks a million as always and cheers ~
I agree, but it's a good price you got for your first bottle and it was worth it for the experience and now knowing if you like it or not 😆 Have a enjoyable evening and cheers~
Years ago when I first started my whiskey journey: Blantons- $50, E.H Taylor Small Batch- $40, E.H Taylor Single Barrel- $65, E.H Barrel Proof- $70, Stagg Jr.-$60, Elmer T. Lee-$55 Eagle Rare- $35, Weller Antique 107-$40, Weller Special Reserve- $30. I no longer bother with BT products. Not worth the trouble and the money at this stage of my whiskey journey. 😁
Hey DH! If you had your fill and you have no desire for Buffalo Trace bottles at today's prices (or hassle)? I totally understand. It is getting a little ridiculous on either the prices or the effort needed to obtain these bottles at reasonable prices. We all wish we could go back to those days with those prices and seeing them on the shelf regularly 😆. Truly appreciate your view and comment so quickly after video launch! Helps me a ton and super appreciate it! Cheers ~
Years ago prices or MSRP of these bottles were different. Probably a $5-10 difference honestly towards MSRP between the years. It really just depends on where you are to get these bottles at decent prices. I'm in Colorado and I get Eagle Rare for $39.99, Stagg for $59.99, Weller 12 year $69.99, E.H Taylor Single Barrel for $79.99.. Those prices are not that much higher than what you mentioned when you started years ago. Which imo isn't that big of a deal because of these bottles are really good and hard to find usually. I'll pay a little extra for a bottle that I know isn't that much over MSRP compared to what people in other states pay... Some people are buying Stagg for $199+, E.H. Taylor Single Barrel $199+, Weller 12 year $199+ and so forth. I'll never purchase these bottles at those prices that others pay in different states but that goes to show you my point of it's where you are. I've not yet had any bottle to me that is worth more than $20+ over the MSRP. But that could change because I'm new into the bourbon game. Just started around New Years time when I picked up my first Buffalo Trace bottle and just went from there. So only been a few months so far
@@WhiskeyBank 😂😂 I'm in Colorado Springs. I'm not afraid to share location and keep all this good juice to myself lol like some people do! I think Colorado Springs gets good liquor because it's a HUGE HUGE military city and that's basically all military personnel can do is drink
@@ZA1KLONB Never thought to go South when I was in Castle Rock for a couple of days. Always thought the good stuff was North 😆. Will need to head down South next time I'm in the area 😄
If the goal is allocated at MSRP, then take the time and talk to your local store manager. Buy something, build up a relationship. Be willing to become a client; where they will do something for you. Happy Hunting!
Hey Brad! That's a solid strategy and I use it for many of my bottles but unfortunately it seems many people who want these bottles don't drink or buy enough to build that relationship 😅. Many of the viewers comment they have a pour one or two nights a week and a bottle lasts them months. I drink a ton to build that relationship but many only go once a month max. I know the liquor stores are also a "for profit" business so its a dicey situation. Only solution is supply to increase but that's going to take years 😭. Let's hope something happens in 2024 and we can all be happy and find the bottles we love! Thanks a million for your view and comment! Truly appreciate it and cheers ~
Dipping your toes into the "controversial" video topics! I love it! 😂 And i would pay 200 for a 1st stagg. And up to 150 for a backup... i feel like they are as good as fourgate, and they regularly fetch 200 or more! Cheers! 🥃
Hey Troy! Sometimes it's a little more fun to say something a little ridiculous than to just review a bottle 😆. I don't know if it'll help with getting any more subscribers but at the same time, I gonna say what I want to say 😂. Following in your guys' footsteps 🫡. Thanks for always viewing and commenting on my videos so soon after video launch! Always appreciate it and cheers ~
In 4+ years, i have never seen a Stagg under 150, and in the past 2 years they average 200 - 350 near me. People regularly pay 200+ for four gate and other LE's that are not as good as a Stagg, plus there is the time factor. I value my time more than constantly hunting and waiting in lines to have that one-time lightning strike for an msrp stagg. But i am happy you found one, and i hope your luck continues when you try to find another! Cheers!
Really enjoyed your views on this as I don't have any of those bottles so now I know what is the most I should pay for my first bottle. I enjoy your videos.
Hey Dennis! I see a one of a Buffalo Trace allocated bottle in your future at MSRP!! I'll send you good vibes and luck! (probably won't work but it can't hurt 😆). But seriously, the allocation has been getting better these days so your chances are better now than it was last year for sure. Let me know if you find one this year! I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Yeah good luck finding any of these bottles at the prices he got them for. If you really want something for the first time, just pay whatever you can afford or you might have to accept the fact that you'll never get any of these bottles.
@@johng5710 I agree it takes effort and a lot of luck to find these bottles at the prices I paid, but that's the costs unfortunately. I wish this wasn't the case and we all can get these bottles at MSRP at anytime, but that's not reality and until that happens, either you need to pay the high prices or pay with time and effort. It is what it is 😮💨
I'm going to err on the side of wisdom, patience and frugality. With everything going on in the economy, the dollars are getting thin. If you can't get it at MSRP, then you simply don't need it. Greed has run its ruin on the bourbon market. Scalpers, flippers, greedy store owners, greedy distributors and now some distilleries are getting greedy jumping retail prices up. I apologize Whiskey Bank, I know my comments are usually upbeat and positive. Even my friends who have been so generous in helping me get started into bourbon are slamming the brakes hard.
Hey Meta! Let's be honest, if we were all like you, then there would be no secondary market and most bottles that's not BTAC or Pappy would probably be available at MSRP on the shelves. Unfortunately, when demand is higher than supply, there will always be a gap in price between retail and "actual" value. It's like limited or in-demand shoes (Kobe's or Jordan's) and watches (Rolex, etc.), where there is a secondary market and the manufacturers actually enjoy it as they see the hype and excitement for their products. Those are not like whiskeys where they need to wait years to increase production, they could solve the supply issue within months, but they don't on purpose to keep up the hype. It seems that's how bourbon is going and Wild Turkey is leading the charge with many following. Let's hope it isn't a lasting trend and more people will be like you 😆. Always appreciate your views and comments on my videos so soon after posting! Thanks a ton for all your support and cheers~
I just got my first off all these today. I paid $45 for eagle rare. $65 for EH Taylor BIB and $65 for Weller 107. So $175 for those all. First of all those bottles for me. Did I do ok?
I had a decent hunting weekend looking for my Buffalo Trace deals. Got the Eagle Rare for $40, Blanton’s for $70, and just got my very first EH Taylor Single Barrel for $80. Appreciate the honest review. Just looking for the right price on Stagg. It’s worth the wait. Definitely recommend as well for people not to fomo themselves into overpriced secondary market. Your day will come. Just be patient and enjoy the process towards your new purchase/fresh pour.
Hey Kenneth! Nice haul and you're absolutely correct as being patient and fighting fomo is the key to success 😆. Hopefully we can all have our patience pay off this year! Thank you so much for your view and comment! Truly appreciate it and cheers ~
Hey Pedro! Hopefully it'll help a little bit, but let's be honest, I wish I don't make these types of videos in the future because we'll be able to find all the EH Taylor and Staggs at MSRP in 2024! 😆. I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
When it comes to Bourbon you cannot tell anyone what they should pay because it will swing wildly because in one area someone can get access to certain bottle regularly and within reason then you have others who will never see them or say maybe see something once a year and that alone will likely cause someone to pay more than someone else. When it comes to Bourbon, YMMV folks!
I absolutely agree with your statement, but at the same time, if I had to cater to every area and every palate, there is no way I can recommend anything 😆 and those would be some boring videos. Take my video like you would like Stock advice from a TV personality (i.e. Jim Cramer): it's more entertainment than a "should do" video and you should take the information provided along with your own research to make the best decision for you. I know it's not apples to apples comparison as you can buy the same stocks in your area as I do here, but just trying to say that it's more about entertainment and information, rather than a "to do list" 😅. Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Super appreciate it and cheers~

But on behalf of TH-camrs, we wouldn't be here without people like you and always appreciate all your support to help us keep doing what we love, which is drink and talk about whiskeys! 😆.
David ---- I'm so jealous of the prices that you are paying on the west coast! I live in North New Jersey and our prices on all Buffalo Trace products are SO MUCH higher! Additionally, they are very difficult to find! Two that I own: Eagle Rare --- $79 EH Small Batch --- $95 Prices that I've seen ( and won't pay ): Weller Antique: $139 and higher Blantons: $109 cheapest, usually $150 and higher Stagg: $275 You mentioned Jack 10 ---- that is starting to be available here and is going for $150. Jack 12 is typically $250 and higher. Cheers!
Hey Thomas! Oof~~ those are some high prices 😅. California is unique as there are a ton of drinkers that don't drink whiskeys (vodka, tequila, soju, sake, wine, etc.) So the allocation seems to be better here. Also, our grocery stores have been getting a lot recently, which has made it so much easier to obtain these bottles 😆. Hopefully the trend continues in 2024 and we all can find these bottles at msrp soon 🙏! Thank you so much for your view and comment so soon after video launch! Helps me a ton and cheers ~
Great video and always nice to hear tips and opinions on all these hard to find bottles. I currently have been looking for Stagg to say I've had some of the main BT products. Keep up the good work!
Hey Andrew! Staggs are dropping in big box stores here in California (costco, total wine, etc.) So hopefully it'll come to your area soon! Thank you so much for your view and comment! Truly appreciate it and cheers ~
Love the list and the advice! I recently went crazy (2-3x MSRP) to get my first JD's 10-YR & 12-YR (super hard to find in my area). You only live once! You are spot-on with all your examples in this video! Thank you! P.S. Just paid $150 for Old Forestor 1924 and love it! But would I pay that again? Probably not, because 1910 and 1920 are readily available for $50-60.
Hey Karl! You're right! You only live once so drink some good bourbons ~ don't hoard those bottles as tomorrow is never guaranteed 😆. JD10 and 12 is worth the money as it is a fun and unique experience. I haven't had the OF 1924 yet but will soon as I'll make a video on it soon 😎. Let me know which JD you like better! Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers ~
I’ve been fortunate. I’ve been able to purchase Blanton’s ($65), EH Taylor Small Batch ($45), Eagle Rare 10 Year ($48), and Weller Special Reserve ($25) for at or slightly above msrp. Sadly, though, no luck with Stagg. The cheapest I’ve seen an actual bottle in store is $199, which is just too much for me considering what else is out there. So the wait continues.
Hey Mike! If you can find those bottles at those prices, it's definitely worth the waiting on the Stagg 😆 I can see a Stagg for you at msrp in 2024! 😉. Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Always appreciate it and cheers ~
Since I've been drinking bourbon for years and years, back when it wasn't a trend, for me it's msrp or nope.... I stick with the great stuff found on the shelves as well, but no way I'm paying xyz$$ mad cash for regular ETL or Blantons at 125 or 150 lol. It's your money but know this if you pay these prices then you're only increasing the overall price of Whiskey in general which is terrible for the everday whiskey lover
Hey Jesus! I wish we were all like you where we can fight our fomo and not buy anything over MSRP 😆. That is awesome. It is unfortunate that most of us haven't been enjoying whiskey long enough to remember the days of most bottles at MSRP so many of us don't know how good (or how not good) most of these bottles are. It's just the supply and demand isn't balanced (due to many factors) and there is just too much demand for these Buffalo Trace bottles at the moment. I am hoping that the supply side will get better and most of us will be able to find these bottles at msrp so this video will be useless information 😁. I truly appreciate your view and comment! Thank you so much and cheers~
Excellent suggestions, David! I completely agree with your pricing. But finding these, especially the EH Taylor and Stagg, in the Denver area is a challenge. The few stores that do carry these bottles are charging an arm and a kidney. Cheers, and keep up the great videos.
Hey Rene! Finding the EH Taylor and Stagg is challenging in any area 😆. I do a ton of hunting and looking area to find some of these bottles at close to MSRP, but it takes work. Luckily, I enjoy the work... for now, so we'll see how long I can keep doing this. Hopefully by the time I get "tired" of the hunt, the supply will get good enough it won't matter 🤣. Always appreciate all your views and comments right after video posting! So grateful for all your support and kind words 😊. Thank you for everything and cheers~
Good video. Buffalo trace products are the king in the bourbon market and there is a reason for it. Now that I've tried several of them, I'm able to control my FOMO lol. I'll still enjoy a good bottle of Stagg though.
Hey Danny! Same here! Most BT products I can control my FOMO but Stagg and EH Taylor single barrels and barrel proofs still get me 😆. And of course BTACs but those are so hard, I didn't even want to include in the video 😂. Oh well, maybe this year 🙏. Always appreciate your views and comments so soon after video launch! Can't thank you enough for everything and cheers ~
@@WhiskeyBank Wow!!!
@hongdosa Woah! Where's a good place where I can get Stagg in Korea? I'm in North Cal and 2019 was last time I got my hands on one. I have a summer trip planned and definitely want to check out some liquor shops. Goal #1 is to get as much wild turkey 12yr
@keikim478 Hello. I know Americans want to buy Wild Turkey101 12Y. Koreans can now purchase Wild Turkey101 12Y in Korea for ₩89,600. That's why Wild Turkey12Y is truly my favorite drink, and I've purchased a lot of it. Stagg is an expensive drink even in Korea. I think it's best to buy Stagg in the US. I hope you have good luck with your trip to Korea. 👍
Great video, I agree 100% with all of your recommendations. One of the recent shocks I had was going back to Weller Special Reserve. It really doesn’t stand up to other pours in its category.
I agree! I believe the rise of great craft distilleries and the abundance of good wheated bourbons have really pushed down the Weller Special Reserve on my list. But I am also surprised how well Weller Antique 107 still stands up and how much I still enjoy it 😆. Hopefully allocation will continue to improve in 2024 and we will find some Staggs at MSRP in 2024!! I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Here in NC the prices at an ABC store are not the issue it’s finding the bottles in this video. Definitely a great video to help remind myself and others not to overpay. I did pay $70 for an Antique 107 in NY as Ive never seen most of the bottles here in NC as when they come in people grab them so fast.
ABC states are different due to the price and supply control from the State. There are positives and negatives it seems with a free stare (like California) and ABC states. Maybe it'll be fun to explore the differences 😆. Truly appreciate your view and comment so soon after video posted! Helps out the channel a ton and cheers ~
Hey Bill! I wish we all lived at a time when EH Taylors and Staggs are available at MSRP, but that feels like a world very far away 🤣. But the problem also is that Buffalo Trace bottles' level of quality is far above it's MSRP so even though I know I'm paying about retail, I don't feel like I'm "overpaying" as I know I'm getting a quality bourbon. Let me know when you find your next Stagg and Blanton's and how much you paid! Always greatly appreciate your views and comments right after my video posts! Helps me out tremendously and cheers~
Great video. I agree with almost everything you said, except that Taylor single barrel is better than Jack 10, but I might be in the minority there. All the BT bottles are good but most aren’t worth the hyped price and I think you were right on with what you should pay. Cheers!
Paying over MSRP for any bourbon is a touchy subject but one I wanted to do as I know there are some that is deserving of doing so. Obviously everybody's budget and situation is different, but hopefully the video will provide the "information" need to make adjustments based on area and personal budget and make their own decisions accordingly 😆. Regarding the JD10 vs EHT Single Barrel, I haven't had the batch 3 of JD10 and I heard that one is best of the bunch so maybe I'll change my mind after having that one 🤣. Thank you so much for you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch as you always do! I truly appreciate it and cheers~
Great video. I agree with most of your pricing. Only one I paid more for was my first OWA. It is impossible to find in Florida. Weller SR I see all the time and only pay $22.50. Eagle Rare at Navy Exchange $24.49.
Hey Scott! It seems the lower end (Weller SR and Eagle Rare) have seen the supply increase in 2024 and is now available more and more. Or at least the best since 2021. Hopefully the trend will continue to EHTs and Staggs and we will find those at MSRP soon! 😆 I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Every bottle of Stagg I find in my market is over 300. I wish I could find it for 150. Same with EH Taylor, 300 bucks for Single Barrel, 600 for Barrel Proof.
Hey Heath! Even though there are a lot of "cons" living in Southern California, one of the benefits is that there is a large population based that are drinkers but don't drink bourbons (vodka, wine, tequila, sake, soju, etc.) so our allocation of limited bourbons are better than most markets. And now with the change of distributors from Buffalo Trace, it has really improved with access in places I didn't see before (i.e. Costco, Total Wine, Grocery stores, etc.). Hopefully the trend will come to your area and you will find a Stagg at MSRP in 2024!! 😆 I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Awesome video and information David. I was hunting today and saw BT and Weller SR for MSRP. I used to always pick them up when I saw them at MSRP. But there comes a time when you have enough of them and pass. I passed today. I also ran into a Stagg 23A for $75. The 23A I have only has a few pours left, so I picked it up as a backup. I would pay up to $200 for older Staggs like batches 12-16, if I could find them. 🥃
Hey Dave! Same for me, BT and Weller SRs are a pass most of the time as I got too many good bottles on the shelf already 😆. Stagg 23A for 75 is a fantastic find and I would have got that even if I had a backup already 🤣. I was only have to find a Stagg B16 recently so I'm sure you'll find out very soon~ Always appreciate all your views and comments right after my videos are posted! So grateful for all your do for my channel and take care my friend~
Back in 2019 when I got serious about bourbon I got EHT SmB for $50, ER $40, and when i saw Blanton's for $99 I lol'd and said nope. Now I hardly see any of these (besides ER) for under $80. WSR is still $30 around here but the other Wellers are usually museum prices.
It seems prices changed around 2018 and drastically during and after COVID on all Buffalo Trace bottles. It seems they are coming back down a little the past couple of months, but still far from 2018 and I'm sure it'll probably never go back to those prices. All we can do is analyze how much we like them and how much we will pay for them today 😆. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. I can see you finding a Weller Full Proof at MSRP in 2024!! I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Hey Adam! First comment! Nice~ also, that is a wonderful price for a Stagg and a buy everytime and twice on Sunday 😆. Thanks a million for your view and comment so soon after video launch! Truly appreciate it and cheers ~
Tried last night. It was very hot at first, but the flavors were exploding in my mouth, and it lasted a long time. The nose was wonderful, mouth feel very intense, finish, amazing. Definitely will buy this again!
Great video David! My friends in a different state can’t get Weller which they love so I pick it up when I see it at MSRP for them. Also got a bottle of Weller 12 at MSRP and traded it for a Stagg 22A last year Buffalo Trace is great to trade for a bottle you want! Keep up the great content on your channel! 🥃Cheers
Hey Ryck! That is so true, if you can find an allocated Buffalo Trace bottle that you don't like, you can probably trade it for a one you do want. But unfortunately, trading is something that is not available for everybody (for good or for worse, I see positives and negatives to both). Let's hope allocation gets better so we don't have to trade but just find the bottles we want on the shelves! I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Hey Darrell! I love my OFBSBS as well but you must have got a real good barrel as I like Stagg more than my bottle 😆. But 120 for your first Stagg is a good price and I'm sure you loved every single drop of it 😎 Always appreciate your views and comments so soon after video launch! Thank you so much for all your support and cheers ~
Good video David, so interesting to see how cheap you can get some of these for. Waited a year to get Blantons at $75(raffle). EH Taylor Small Batch goes for $120, Weller 107 is $199( if you ever see it), Stagg $199. I would sprint to counter for Stagg at $130 lol. Cheers 🥃
Hey Keith! Honestly, I didn't get these so the prices I'm getting them until about late last year when the grocery stores in my area started getting them on a consistent basis. I eat a ton 😂 so I had some good relationships with store employees and they have been able to help me get some of these bottles at fantastic prices 😆. Hopefully the supply will continue to increase and we will all find more of these at msrp everywhere! 🙏 Always greatly appreciate your view and comment so quickly after video launch! Thanks a million and cheers ~
Guess it depends on where you live. Around me Eagle Rare can be found for $50 or less, Blantons $75 to $90. Stagg can be found from $150 to $200 and higher. Never saw any EH Taylor under $100, usually more. But it is nice to see prices in other parts of the country.
Hey Don! Yeah.. allocation is very dependent on area but it seems in many areas allocation for buffalo trace products has improved (still not great, but improved) the past couple of months. Hopefully the trend will continue and your area will also get EH Taylor's at msrp soon! Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
Awesome video! Well done David 👍 keep the good content coming by the way we might catch a lot of heat but I agree with your list 😅 in fact if was was doing this list it would be exactly the same.
Hey JR! Thanks a ton for your awesome compliment! 😊. Honestly, most of the heat is coming from my Stagg take and not my Blanton's 🤣. Which is surprising as I thought the Blanton's take would be more talked about, but I guess that's a good thing? 😁. Were you able to score any bottles recently at MSRP in your area? I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Hey Bob! I guess that's true to a certain extent. Many small liquor stores have specials during holidays that sell Stagg for 100 to 150 at times, but as you said, it is rare. It is either you get lucky at Total Wine or Costco and get it at MSRP (or less) or you see it at liquor stores sitting on the shelf for 175+. When I do see it for that price, I do try to negotiate with the manager if I need a pick up some beer or other bottles anyways. It doesn't work most of the time, but it does once in a while so if you do drink other things, that might be a way to try to get it at 150 or less 😆. I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Yeah you are right, with special discounts you can enter into that mid priced range. But its pretty rare. Negotiations are tough though, maybe I just suck at it. Great videos, best of luck! @@WhiskeyBank
All bottles that I haven't gotten mostly because they just don't come to Oregon. Eagle Rare are here and there but they keep disappearing before I get there. Maybe I'll get lucky this month.
Hey Andre! This is your year and I see many Staggs for you at MSRP in 2024! 😆 keep hunting and grinding and you'll find it 🫡. Thanks a ton for your view and comment as always so quickly after video launch! Always appreciate it all and cheers ~
@@WhiskeyBank David, What do you know, I called a liquor store, said they just got 6 Eagle Rares in so I jumped in the car 40 minute drive but there was a limit 1 per. Looked up on shelf and there was a Blanton's $70 so since I was getting only one E Rare I snatched it up. Good finish to March haul.
I bought my one and only bottle of Stagg for MSRP, but I had to buy 4 handles of Wheatley Vodka at the same time for $25 each. Three of those handles have made nice gifts so far and I'm waiting to give the last one away.😂😂😂
Hey Jay! I wouldn't mind that as I love my vodkas as well 🤣. If I was your friend, I would have just bought the bottles from you for a sample of the Stagg 🤣. Hopefully you'll find a Stagg at MSRP without a bundle in 2024!! I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Hey JJ! Nice! Honestly, I can't collect bottles that I don't plan to drink as my wife won't allow it 😆. Also, I get drunk too often and I open bottles I shouldn't all the time so it's a problem when trying to collect 🤣. I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Hey RL! Honestly, I found the EH Taylor Single Barrel at my local Ralph's (grocery store). Asked if they had anything allocated in the back and they came out with the EHT Single Barrel, so I got real lucky. The OWA was a long time ago (a year ago?) in a small liquor up in Riverside, CA (when I went there for a business trip). Forgot the name of it unfortunately, just happened to walk in as it was on my way. But allocation of Buffalo Trace bottles have been getting much better in California recently, especially at my local big box liquor stores. I see Total Wine and Costco getting them consistently now. Hopefully that trend will continue in 2024! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Paid ,$ 80 for the EH SB , $ 100 For Stagg and I would pay that again any day I have a couple Eagles left from a lucky strike between 40 and 60 and again all day ,Im not a Weller fan it's a profile im not crazy about , i love blantons but the prices have gotten out of hand
Hey Frank! Stagg for 100 is a fantastic deal and eht smb isn't too bad! Hopefully the trend of finding these bottles at reasonable prices will continue throughout 2024 🙏. Always super appreciate all your views and comments so quickly after video posted! Thanks a million and cheers ~
@@WhiskeyBank There's so much competition out there we don't have to break the bank but we do have to do our homework, that's why I like what you and a couple other channels provide, keep up the great work.🥃
Hey William! I live in Southern California and it seems our big box stores (Total Wine, Costco, Grocery Stores, etc.) have been getting some good distribution of allocated bottles the past couple of months, which really has helped me obtain the bottles I never could have previously 😆. I understand Washington has higher prices and the alcohol tax is high... but the state income tax here is a killer and I would rather not pay the state income tax 🤣. But if the allocation is getting better here, I'm sure it'll get better in Washington soon! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
I refuse to pay anything over retail for any bourbon. It's ridiculous that people can just go in and buy up all the stuff you want at retail then turn around put a ridiculous price on it cause they have it all.
Hey Steven! That is a sound principle to have and one I wish I could follow as well as it would save me a ton of money 😆. It is just the unfortunately reality of supply and demand and when there is less supply than demand, prices just go up 😥. It happens with shoes (Kobe's, Jordan's) and Watches (Rolex, etc.) and unfortunately with whiskeys. But you're right, there are plenty of good bourbons on the shelf at retail to ever need to spend above msrp for any bottle 😄. Let's just hope the supply of these wonderful bottles will catch up to demand so we can all get our hands on one at retail! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~

I don't know if Ohio had good prices or bad prices but I'm in Southern California 😆. It's a unique market as there are so many drinkers here that don't drink bourbon (wine, vodka, tequila, soju, sake, etc.) So the allocation for bourbon is better than other areas. But there are a ton of people with money so secondary pricing can get out of control 😭. Hopefully Ohio is better than here 😆. Thanks a million for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers ~
Hey Brian! I wish secondary pricing wasn't a thing but unfortunately, like anything in life that has more demand than supply (i.e. shoes, watches, etc.), their will always be a secondary market 😢. This includes whiskeys and bourbons unfortunately 😭. I mean, there was a secondary market for face masks and bleach in 2020 and 2021 so nothing is immune to it 😆. Let's hope the increase in production by Buffalo Trace will ease out the supply crunch in the years to come and we all can find these awesome bottles at MSRP regularly again 🙏. Thanks a ton for your view and comment so soon after video launch! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
@@WhiskeyBank Face masks and bleach is a poor comparison. There was a spike in demand that could not have been predicted. Spirit allocation is solely on Distributers. If it weren't a big hitter like BT wouldn't be pulling all of their distribution back and re-doing their agreements with states. Case in point, look at Michigan and the nearly $1m in stock that is missing. These things are only allocated because of greed of distributers. The distillers see none of the markup, so instead of turning a blind eye to it, they need to fix it.
@@BrianGiuffre face mask and bleach was just to point out anything can spike in price with demand 😆 not a apple to apple comparison. I agree that distilleries don't see the profit and that's not good but that's the case with any secondary market (i.e. shoes with Nike, watches with Rolex, etc.). Of course distributors' and liquor stores' (and flippers) greed plays a part in it but the demand is there for them to do so. Also distilleries' greed is not helping. Not with Buffalo Trace but with others. Even if Stagg was 130, would you buy two Stagg or one Wild Turkey Masters Keep at 260? Two Stagg or one four gate? Etc. I mentioned some bottles on the video that are 100+ (great bottles) but that might not be good as Stagg (and that's msrp price, let alone secondary pricing). Only way prices will come down will be if supply goes up or demand decreases (or both). Hopefully supply will go up so these conversations will be thing of the past 😆. Let's enjoy some good whiskeys we can find while we wait 🫡.
He says Weller 107 is better than 12 year but would only pay $70 for 107. Does that mean you would only pay $65 for 12 year? But would pay $70 for Blanton's? Show me a Stagg for $150. This video is trash
Hey 90s Mall Arcade! Those were some good times in those Arcades back in the 90s 😆. Back on to the topic, you're correct, for me, I would not pay more than $65 for a Weller 12, hence the reason I didn't have a bottle for the video as I can't find any for that price. I like the Knob Creek 12 better than the Weller 12 so I buy those instead. But obviously that is a minority opinion as many people like the Weller 12 the best out of the Weller lineup. The reason for the Blanton's at $70 is that it is the best bottle to share with "non-bourbon" drinkers (i.e. single malt drinkers, vodka drinkers, or even drinkers just getting into bourbon, etc.). They might not know too much about bourbons, but they all seem to know about Blanton's. So when friends come over to my place that aren't bourbon drinkers, they always want to try Blanton's. Same with my co-workers or anybody else I meet and talk about Bourbons. I always let them know there are probably a 100 bourbons better than Blanton's that's cheaper, but they want to try it. So I would say 90% of this new bottle on the video will shared. Again, a good conversation piece and a fun share. Worth the money for the discussions and to see their faces when they finally have a pour 🤣. Stagg is hard to find and I understand it is more hard to find at $150 or less. But for us here in Southern California, you just have to keep your eyes and ears open for a good chance. LuckyOne liquor down here had a huge sale during the holiday season (check out their Instagram) and so did Cypress Craft during Black Friday and Holiday season (they also have random drops of specials, again check out their Instagram). And many other stores had specials during that time as well. It seems there was a large drop of Stagg recently at Costco (Facebook was a good resource). I was not able to go and get it as I work during the day, but many people got one. I know it's hard to obtain these bottles. I know it's frustrating to see people like me find a bottle when you can't. I was there (before I started my channel, watching people get all these awesome bottles). If you see my whiskey haul videos, I have evolved into trying to let people know where I get these bottles and how much so it gives information to the people in my area so they can also have the opportunity to get these bottles. I share as much as I can as sometimes the people involved don't want me to mention them. Your probably in a different area so my videos might not help as much, but hopefully there is a WhiskeyTuber in your area that does the same thing I do so you find these bottles at reasonable prices as well. Good luck and thanks a ton for your view and comment! Cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I will check out the KC12. I love Blanton's at $70 and I keep a back up, I don't think that is over paying for a quality product. Your take on Weller 12 is an eye opener! Keep it real for CA viewers and I appreciate your content and your engagement
Why would the "market" be higher for all items you listed?. Youre such a pro drinker youre tainted in your thoughts. Your "hundreds of pours" taken you out of reality. Might have drank all 100 in one day?
Hey Jerry! Maybe I did have a little too much to drink in my day 😂. But unfortunately, with anything in life, when demand is higher than supply, "market" price will be higher than retail price. We see this in shoes (kobe's or Jordan), Pokémon cards, watches, cars, etc. Even egg prices increased greatly last year when supply was low. We see this on a larger scale today on homes and used cars. Obviously the supply of money is factor but that will make it a long conversation 😆. I'm in your boat that I hope that a day will come We all will be able to find these wonderful bottles at msrp at anytime! Thanks a ton for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers ~
How much did you pay for your bottles? Whats the most you'll pay for the next one?
If you never had any, what's your limit on your first?

Thanks a million for your view and comment!

I feel that what you and Baker Drinks has been saying makes more and more sense now.
Quality over quantity.
I have so many good bottles that I don’t even have time to enjoy. I have been finding myself going back to the better than good bottles. They are all good but I don’t want to settle for good when I have better bottles on my bar.
I now know what everyone has been saying.

Excellent video, David! I'd even go as high 150 for Stagg!
Just payed $199 for my first bottle of Stagg jr. 24a
For your first Stagg, as long as it's within your budget, it's a great buy! Once you have a pour, let me know how you like it 😆.
Have a wonderful weekend and cheers ~
$80 for Blantons and $60 for EH for me so far, still looking for my first Stagg , would prefer $100 or less
But the good news is that allocation seems to be getting better here so hopefully it'll get better for you very soon!

Awesome topic. I think your pricing is dead on. Hoping to find a full proof. Last one I need to find from their normal line up.

I agree with you on a lot of these. Unfortunately in my area these are all unicorns. Every now and then a sellers reserve or a tater tube will appear but always at the crazy prices! Blanton is around $250

Around NYC, if you Only pay MSRP you will NEVER drink anything special.
It was like that around here until only recently. Let's hope the trend continues and these wonderful whiskeys become more available and prices decrease 😆
Happy Holidays and cheers~
Curious to see what your price for Weller FP would be. My dumb self bought it for $225 here in NorCal. Although it’s one of the best Bourbons I’ve had I would probably pay $150 at the most
I would agree the most I would pay for a Weller full proof is around $150 for my first one. Obviously a little more for a store pick. But if you enjoyed it, it's all good~
Have a fantastic weekend and cheers ~
Spot on video.
My problem is I love all whiskey so gets expensive buying bourbon, Irish, Scotch, ryes and all other whiskey
I try and stay under $100 for bourbons and rye with 55-88 being the main.
Only had ever seen it for over $400 and wanted to try it and have it in shelf (it is a good 45-55 bottle 😂)
I have gotten addicted to Barrel Grey Label Seagrass and that is probably my most expensive bottle on my daily drinker area of bar and sits surrounded by my JTS Brown ,Benchmark Bonded and Sagamore Rum cask.
So grateful for all your support and cheers~

I bought my first Weller's SR for $30 today; tasty, but definitely not worth more than $35-$40.
I agree, but it's a good price you got for your first bottle and it was worth it for the experience and now knowing if you like it or not 😆

@@ZA1KLONB don't know where in Colorado you are at but with those prices, I'll need to go visit your local liquor store 😂

Dipping your toes into the "controversial" video topics! I love it! 😂

@@muriloninja Nice!! Which batch did you get? If you had a pour of it, how did you like it? Lived up to the hype?
Hell no! Not worth it. I waited and found Stagg at $43 at Costco

David ---- I'm so jealous of the prices that you are paying on the west coast! I live in North New Jersey and our prices on all Buffalo Trace products are SO MUCH higher! Additionally, they are very difficult to find!
Two that I own:
Eagle Rare --- $79
EH Small Batch --- $95
Prices that I've seen ( and won't pay ):
Weller Antique: $139 and higher
Blantons: $109 cheapest, usually $150 and higher
Stagg: $275
You mentioned Jack 10 ---- that is starting to be available here and is going for $150. Jack 12 is typically $250 and higher. Cheers!
These are same prices in NYC. The Eagle Rare is cheaper here. It’s around $50.

Woah!

Thank you. I see Stagg for $400 around here. It's just too crazy. Is WT 12YR readily available?
Great perspective on Blanton's and Stagg. I'll definitely take your advice should I run into a bottle of either.
I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
I was only have to find a Stagg B16 recently so I'm sure you'll find out very soon~
Always appreciate all your views and comments right after my videos are posted!

Always greatly appreciate your view and comment so quickly after video launch!
$130-150 Stagg does not exist. Its either MSRP or $175+. I have never seen mid priced Stagg. Always retail or secondary. Its weird.
@@duckontherun932 Trust me, I'm not good at negotiating either but when a Stagg is there, suddenly I become decent at it 😆
All bottles that I haven't gotten mostly because they just don't come to Oregon. Eagle Rare are here and there but they keep disappearing before I get there. Maybe I'll get lucky this month.

i paid 120 for eht single. where are you finding it for $80 and owa 107 for $70?
Hopefully that trend will continue in 2024!

where do you live to get those at that price MSRPWashington state has higher prices

This guy must live in Ohio with the prices he's giving.
How much "should" I pay?! MSRP.. Thats how much we should all pay. Secondary pricing shouldnt be a thing that is accepted by anyone.
