It's been a long Winter out here in Oregon with no breaks to go fishing and then a Spring of more of the same. We had a severe ice and wind storm back in January, during which I lost nine trees and sustained damage to others. It's been keeping me pretty busy. This video is of the removal a fir tree that lost it's top during the storm and needed to be removed. Things went well, with the exceptio...

nice to see you out again
Thanks Carl! 🙃
Great job Jerry! Hey you know you’re a good fisherman when your wife says “what, you only got one?” Hahaha
I guess so! Haha... Thanks Nick! 🙃
Nice catch. Local boy. G
Thanks Greg! 🙃
Great to see you out. I love that you enjoy the catch it isn’t about just winching the fish in.
Thanks Joel!
You’ve done it again! Another great video that’s so enjoyable to watch. Thanks fir taking along for the ride! Steve
Thanks Steve! I've been having some problems with one of my GoPros overheating and shutting down. Makes it hard to record all the action...
I wouldn’t have known you had camera issues cuz I thought your video was great.
@@maltby_pass5632 Thanks a bunch! Just missing some footage is all...
Nice fish! Yep, I have a crazy woman at home I call as well. Gotta love them. Keep it up. See you on the water.
Thanks! Yeah, I'm probably gonna keep mine... 🙃
Love your videos! Have you thought about not using the lock for the Folbes? Yours are mounted properly with the moving half towards the bow. Plus you have your drag loose. There’s probably a 0.001% chance of loosing the rod
Thanks! Yeah, I just started with them, but I've learned that I can trust them, so locks are off from now on... Thanks for the advice... 🙃
I enjoyed that............
Glad to hear that! 🙃
Thanks for the trip. Just bought an RV lot in Florence, I'll be out there next year. Can't wait.
Welcome to the coast Shayne!
Great day of fishing there King … always excited to see that your put out a new video.. keep up the good work
Thanks Mark!
Great day for fishing videos...

Thanks Kevin!
Nice trip out! Good size
Thanks!
Couple of dandy fish right there!
🙃
Good job brother! Nice fillets fer sure!
Thanks! Fishinfool...
You see, she never doubted you one bit. Nice job out there, sir
Thanks! You're right... 🙃
Great trip! Better size than last time.
Took me a while to find them...
@ I figured it must have. You should have mentioned Agate Beach sooner! 😂🤣

Im glad to see you posting again. I would love to fish with you someday. My boys are grown and don't care much for jetty fishing.
Thanks James! There's some really good spots to fish on the jetty. I used to like to use half or whole herring and move around. I've caught big lings up to 20 lbs and cabbies, but you need to use bait. Jigs and swimbaits just catch smaller fish...
I normally throw an 8 inch grub on a 1.5 ounce gig head and do okay. What type of rig would I use for the bait set up on the jetty. It very easy to get snagged up in the rocks with any current at all.
@@jamesbussell2976 I like to use a 3 or 4 oz bank sinker with a 3 ft. 20 lb break off leader to 60 lb mono single dropper set up with a 6 inch 60 lb mooching leader. That way, when the sinker fouls in the rocks you get most of your terminal tackle back and usually most of the 20 lb drop off leader so that you just need to retie a loop and put another sinker on. I use uni-uni knot between all leaders and main line. Cast up swell or up current and let drift down as close to the rocks as possible without fouling. Slip bobber works good as well...
Must be a good feeling using a diver over losing a 1-3 pound weight every bite. In Monterey Bay we almost had to fish deep every opener. That means usually dropping to the bottom in 280 feet with a 3 pounder on a weight release or the old Monterey special steel setup with fixed weight and side planner. I’m all about the downrigger bite cause that is more time consuming and back saving.
Can you tell us what reel and rod combo you use for rockfish and ling?
Shimano Trevala 7' jigging rod + KastKing Rover 60 baitcasting reel with 20 lb mono
Looked like a great trip, made quick work of em, and didn't even need a net!
🙃
Great catch King, glad to see you could get another trip in before winter hits.
Thanks Paul! I've got footage from a couple more trips that I still need to edit and post...
@@kingslew1866 can’t wait to see them.
OMG, Chuck Norris... sit your ass down. I have a new hero!!!!!
Ha ha! I'm apt to disappoint... 🙃
Love to watch your vid. Bring back my memories how I got seasick trolling around red can.
Thanks! Short rough chop puts my back out... 🙃
So glad to get a notification that you put up another video! I always look forward to watching your adventures. Great job landing those fish without a net. Stay well!! Steve
Thanks Steve! 🙃
I have a lower back problem down to my left knee right now and I can just feel the pain if I tried to go out on a boat in that slop. Great job sticking it out and getting some blood on the deck. I was also feeling a little woozy with the constant waves. Where do you fish out of and is that a deep 6 you use or weight release? Not sure on the leader either. Unfortunately we haven’t had a chance to go after salmon in California for a few years now so traveling is on my mind to get some salmon fillets.
Oops I should have watched entire video cause now I see the deep 6 with pink hoochie behind flasher.
I'm on the central Oregon coast. I fish out of Newport mostly. GoPro cam flattens the chop out. For coho I just use Deep Six diver + 8" chrome dodger + hoochie with 19" 40# floro leader. Troll @ 3.5/4 MPH...

Fisherman never get old they just smell that way! Keep up the great videos!
Thanks Tyler!
We just bought a house in Waldport and I look forward to spotting you out on the water sometime. I have a white Angler 180 CC
Welcome to Lincoln County! I'll watch out for you... 🙃
I'm always impressed by how you never seem to lose any fish. I easily lose at least twice as many as I land. Another nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tim! I lose fish, but I am pretty good at landing the big majority of fish that I hook. This is probably due to the fact that I've been fishing since I was a small boy and maybe a few differences in the tackle and technique of playing and landing fish that others use... 🙃
Nice to see a new vid from you, Slew....👍
Thanks! 🙃
Great to see u getting out Slew.. I look forward for every video u put out 👍
Thanks Mark! Thankful for fans like you!
opps.still getting them good day out take care

Great eating fish there! Glad you are still getting out some.
True! The little ones are the best eating...
Been missing your videos King. Glad to see your getting out and catching fish! Thanks as always. Take care.
Thanks yonderdan! Get out when I can... 🙃
Great to see you brother!! That choppy water slows everyone down!!! Don't give up yet!!
Thanks Steve! Oh, I ain't givin' up (grin)
Great fishing! I got a few on the Siletz. I am in Juneau, Alaska vacationing until tomorrow. No fishing this trip in Alaska.
Thanks Steve!
Nice work, no net...no problem
Yep!
I so miss going out, moved to wyoming 3 yrs ago from Waldport. Still have my rods, gear and boat just waiting for a trip back. Watching you brings good memories, keep it up!!! Never too old.
Thanks Henry! 🙃
Glad to see you’re still fishing and nice video
Thanks!
How's it going this is Justin met u out on the jettywish it would of been like this the day we talked anyways enjoy the videos..... tight lines chief
Hey Justin! Thanks for the comment. Really great to hear from you. I was out again last evening mainly trying for coho without any bites, but as it got dark, I managed a limit of blacks on the reef... Watch for the video... 🙃
Nice evening to fish. You pick some good ones. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Ken!
Nice work! What flipper knife are you using? Do you like it?
Thanks Chad! The knife is just the most recent version of the Classic Buck 110 folding hunter, but it's mounted in nylon instead of heavy brass & wood. I love it and you can get one for $30.99 online at a site that begins with A... 🙃
Very nice haul King, how about that beautiful calm ocean.
Thanks Paul! Yeah... every little once in a while...
Those were some slabs!!
Thanks Michael! 🙃
Nice catchin
Beautiful evening.
I must agree...
Glad to see you getting some fishing in. As always thank you for the video. I always love your content. Some of these guys spend way to much time yakking and not enough fishing. Thanks again
Thanks yonderdan! Sorry I talk so much... 🙃
What rod are you using? Sweet video!
Thanks! One piece 7'0" Medium Shimano Trevala TVC70ML
