Thank you. My father studied electronics at the Air Force Academy, and he was the guy who fixed all our lights, anything electrical. With his passing, I was at a loss. Two of our lamps needed new sockets and I figured it couldn't be that tough. So I searched you out and you made this so straight forward and easy to comprehend. Thank you!
Thankyou Sir , I have matching lamps and this was very helpful! I would not have known the gold screw on new fixture was positive. I marked the positive wire but I cut the wires off the terminals so I’ll have to strip them back . 😀
Thanks, I had the pushed in type of wires, so had to pull gently to extricate them, and had to cut a bit of the vinyl housing to pull more of the wires to hook them over the screws for the new socket, but heck it worked!
