I can imagine that Amazon could not wait to finish this project and there won't be another. I loved this video and although there are story arcs that related to the Beast crew, it also appeared this was about Amazon and how they took a production that would have been doomed and showed the Beast team what a real production can accomplish. Everything was run through Kate before it happened. I am not a Beast fan, it's just not my type of content, but I appreciate Amazon trying to tame the Beast. 😀

hey Sam I've struggled with the exact same music problem as you, trying to find tracks that people like Gawx and Max Joseph use. I found epidemic sounds is great, just go into different genres (jazz is great, I think Synthwave is similar to what you paused on in this video) and I've found a lot of the time it sounds like they use the stems with the instrumental taken off the top.

Wondering how you feel about the show in general, feels weird seeing it come out every week especially when coincidentally squid game came out, for me it just all feels weirdly immoral even though this is what people signed up for Imo The show is very dramatic, truly the stakes feel equivalent to car crashes. With “regular” reality TV game shows I don’t feel as “icky” compared to watching this, my hunch is that regular shows are more emphasized on the fun while Beast Games is focused on the drama of life changing money. Idk maybe my morals changed due to controversy (what’s the difference between this and like a normal Mr Beast video), maybe it’s the squid game influence, maybe it’s the way that the show preys on my empathy for people longer than a normal Beast video. Idk, thought I would share, brilliant breakdown as always, love how you point out the story structures and significances of videos. Can’t wait to see your stuff in 2025. - PeeJ Ent

This was an excellent video too! I find myself watching everything differently now that I’m creating. As a viewer and regular consumer, I think all the different angles make it much more interesting, but as a creator I do consider how long that must have taken. Does that make it inauthentic? I don’t think so. Just part of the process.

So you like vans, I'm guessing big vans? Not the small ones that are always a bit too small, but you rented it anyway thinking you could get all your gear in it anyway, and then you're left with that one box that doesn't fit, but you know it should fit so you take everything out again to try and restack everything and on the third try you get everything in there only to go back to the studio only to discover that last box you didn't bring out cause you thought you would just stack the other one and fetch the last one? Not those kind of vans right? Always rent the bigger van, it's always better - also: more shelves, always have 20-30% more shelves than you think you'll need, that's the only way to reclaim that floorspace - anyway, great video.

I'll comment on the "set-up busy" shot, even-though a year late(r). I think it's inspired by pop-vlogging style, at the time. And I didn't think much about it until you said so, and I agree, the handheld would be more realistic (which is applicable to my time frame of vlogging [good foresight, Sam]).
