I have no idea why you didn’t mention changing the sprockets either front or rear ( for better highway cruising ) I’m from Australia and ridden loads of big and small singles over the years , it’s the BEST mod you can do to say drop RPM by 500 therefore taking away vibration. The reason for the gearing is the Indian market . It’s like doing reviewers and saying bike is no good due to the stock tyres ! ( change the bloody things than ) .

I have a 2020 RP and have recently ride the 24rp, do I feel the need to change, definitely not, the power increase is not enough to sway me, so rather than stump up 15k I'm going to stick with what I already have done everything I wanted to do to it...

How do you feel about the weight difference between this bike and the GT Pro vs the older 800 models? Does the HP and torque make up for the difference? I have a 2012 Tiger 800 ABS and it is quite quick feeling through the midrange.

My one had no Vibration till 2020 miles. But now its very vibey

Not having any unnecessary tech is exactly what I like about my XSR 700. I just wanted a bike that has most of the simplicity of an old bike except having ABS and that looks the part. It's kind of funny the XSR does a better job at that than the Triumph T100 isn't it? A XSR 700GP with better suspension would be perfect.

I like it! Could use a 7” headlamp though. And lower the gages a bit.

Was very interested in 890 DukeR or 990 but after reading all the horror QC KTM stories, I am staying away from KTM.

I’m currently riding the 2023 model Honda Africa twin & really can’t fault it but after watching the reviews on the new Mv Agusta enduro veloce I’m seriously considering splashing out the rather extortionate price to experience the sportier ride claimed 👊✊️✊️

I have had mine for 5000 km now. And I love it. Everything is not perfect. But it has everything I want in a bike. The new uppgrades to the engine makes it an absolutely lovely machine to ride.

Great review thanks Bob. There is a setting where the speedo/tach is smaller and the fuel range/odo etc. is displayed. This fills out the display if that is what you want. Very much enjoying my '24 RP which I've had since March. I test rode the '23 Tiger 900 RP and the new '24 version back to back. The engine changes are significant which you didn't really cover. The extra torque lower down and more power up top is noticeable between the two bikes. Plus the new bike sounds more aggressive on the stock pipe. The '24 Tiger now feels properly fast for a midsize ADV.

Bob, I rode a 2020 Tiger 900 in the US and loved it so much so that I tried one in the UK with a view to trading in my ATAS DCT which I really didn’t gel with. Perhaps the setup, but didn’t like the handling or vibration through the bars. I’m not a fan of the oddball crank which removes the inherent smoothness of a 120 degree crank under the pretext of providing better torque. I went for a KTM 890 in preference although even that’s a parallel twin pretending to be a V. I might just try the new Tiger having found the 890 to be cramped and crude by comparison plus even the “ergo” seat is pretty poor.

Very interested in this bike v. Africa Twin AS (non-DCT). Here in the US, they are very close in price. I would be using it for occasional two up, probably 80/20 street to dirt riding and touring.

This bike is on my short list along with the KTM 890smt, which one would you choose?

i just bought a 24 rally pro,i had a superduke r gen 3 before.i absolutely love this bike,ive had it 3 days and i find it to be perfect for me.just got to run it in now! i went for the 900 over the 1200 because its more versatile imo.

I had a 2023 900-GT-Pro, and you're correct the power was always there, and never lacking. And the features from Heated grips and seats, quick-shifter, cruise made it the perfect allrounder. However, I traded it for a 2023 Rocket-3R, but now, I'm going to keep my Rocket, but then look into a new 2024 GT-Pro 👍 And Yes, the 2023 TFT was simply a Hot Mess, I'm glad that has been trashed !!

Have they been able to isolate the rider from the vibration that has plagued the “T plane” 900’s at highway speeds 🤔? It is good to see it has a tachometer you can actually read now 😆.
