I much prefer these casual unscripted episodes. I enjoy the tutorials too (they're very helpful, thank you), but I feel like they should have their own series. Currently there's a bit of inconsistency with some episodes being lets-plays and some being tutorials. Just my opinion, love the content, keep it up :)
Looking back it may have been better for me to have everything split up - tutorials and unscripted videos. Unfortunately now they're all too intertwined to do that. Without the tutorial videos there would be large gaps in the unscripted ones. Maybe after this series concludes I will dedicate some time to make new or updated tutorial videos that are independent of Lakewood. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment QQue!
Longer, casual, unscripted (but planned), let's play style with live commentary and short timelapses are my favorite videos from this series. Not to diminish the tutorials, they are very helpful, you explain and demostrate very well. Just saying for a series, I enjoy videos like this one. Can't way for the next, I found your channel today and already watched all your Cities videos. You are among my top 3 Cities TH-camrs and (imo) with more frequent content your channel could grow a lot, the quality is already there! I know you have a life besides TH-cam and it may not be your priority rn, and that's ok too. Anyway, have a good one and I will turn that bell on to watch as soon as you post again!
Thank you for the feedback and support CD S - I appreciate you taking the time to leave another comment! I'm really glad you've enjoyed the series. More content is definitely my goal. I would like to do more casual unscripted episodes but it's taking me much longer than I would like to get used to talking and playing at the same time. Unfortunately I don't have much opportunity during the week to make content at the moment so each weekend I need to cram in making an episode and it's like I'm starting from scratch each time. I'm very lucky to have had the response that I've had in the last few months with my channel so hopefully I can start making some content on a more regular basis to have it grow. Thanks again CD S - I'll see you for the next episode (soon hopefully!).
Just bought Sunset Harbour and Mass Transit dlcs hehe so went back to this episode. I really really love these industries that you have to micro manage, Forest, Fish, Ore, Farm even Campuses were you unlock stuff as you go. Its so much fun :)
Thanks for confirming Easy Credit Group. I thought I had heard it referred to as armouring before and I wasn't sure which one was most commonly used. Welcome to the channel!
Just got back in to Cities: Skylines and found your videos and they've been great for hints tips for roads and layout ideas of the city. Would love if you did a video about RCI Districts and the benefits of making Districts.
That's awesome Daniel - I'm glad my videos have been helpful! I have a video about RCI (th-cam.com/video/cLPEu1BTdXI/w-d-xo.html) but not one about different districts... that's a good idea for a video though. Welcome to the channel!
@@jester.Gaming I saw the RCI video and it was really helpful. I'm confused about the different districts and what they might do to the residential area etc if you were to set one, so if you know enough about it, a short video them would be extremely helpful.
hi Cute_Seal_Gamer_77, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment! I usually have an overall idea of what I want to do and focus on one part of that at a time and take it relatively slow. I don't exclusively play Cities: Skylines (although I play it more than other games) so it's harder to get burned out. I hope this helps - welcome to the channel!
@@jester.Gaming Thank you for responding, it will be hard but i will try to use your method, i love your content and every creation you make, thanks again!
Love your videos, keep up the good work! ^.^ Just wanted to add I think B is the hotkey for the bulldozer tool, helped me a lot :P sorry if you already knew >.
@@jester.Gaming Ty, love the content ^.^ There's few useful ones really, I just remember learning about B and how it made conforming to my ocd that little bit easier :P
Haha, I think there are a number of shortcuts that could be used! It would probably make everything a little bit smoother if I knew them ... I'll have to look for the others!
I knew the eco water treatment plants weren't 100% effective but I was surprised to see how much of a difference the algae based water filtering made! Next on the list is trains - we're going to tie Lakewood into the regional network ... it's going to be interesting :)
Hey Wade Suggs, welcome to the channel - I'm glad you're learning from the videos! The song is Improvisions Con Moto by Chloe Schumann. If you're on PC the song file is located in the game files in the Classical folder!
Hi Rusty Walker - good catch! I don't have them all turned on at the moment but it could be an issue when I do. I might be able to lower the elevation of the river channel to get more water to the pumps.
haha, it was definitely a bit of a challenge ... and that was even after I had done it a couple times to practice! Thanks for checking out another video Xav Vic! :)
Hi! Can i ask a question ? I have the game in delux edition and i have more options of route choices, I mean I have more header tab. What is causing that ? Thanks for the reply!
Of course you can ask a question Hacker Wekker! As far as I know the only difference between the deluxe and standard versions of the game are a few extra buildings and the soundtrack to the game. What kind of route choices are you referring to? Public transportation? Roads? If you have any mods installed you might have extra routes available to you. I hope this helps! :)
I'm glad you've enjoyed the series so far MKM! I've got more episodes on the way ... eventually. I've been busy with work and just haven't had much energy to make videos on the weekend. I have one that is nearly complete about connecting our local train network to the regional train network - stay tuned!
@@jester.Gaming thanks for the response. I haven’t tried the game yet, but I know it’s time consuming and it takes a lot of patience. I love how you work on roads, interchange sections and transports that are very efficient on good traffic flows. We look forward for your upcoming episodes and I hope we can see more of variations on creating new districts.
You're more than welcome MKM, I'm glad you like the series so far! It does take a little bit of time but the best thing is you can play as much or as little as you want ... it'll still be there when you get back! I'm looking forward to building the city with everyone!
hey Shubham, good luck on the channel! I wish I knew how to get the dlc for free ... if you're on PC the best thing I can suggest is to wait for it to go on sale. It's usually pretty heavily discounted (up to 50% off) a few times a year
That might be a little bit outside of my abilities Snowballs Barrios! I think it would be a little more lively than what the real Racoon or Silent Hill city would be.
16:27 mentally: "yeah, like tha- no, let's try tha- no, goddamnit, ok, let's see her- no, oh c'mon now! ok, lets try thi- no 🤬🤬ok ok surely this wil work- no 😡😡😡😡😡
Grrr, I have been trying not to log in to YT to cut off data to them but then I can't like creator videos and then I have to watch them again otherwise you'd get whacked because I clicked away from the video. Sorry, love the video less of a fan of YT which has nothing to do with you.
It's all good Warren, I appreciate you thinking about the video analytics! Thank you for the for the support ... if you don't want to log in just watching the video is more than enough :)
I will be able to see the views and watch time even if you aren't logged in or subscribed. The only thing is you wouldn't be able to comment or like/dislike the video if you wanted to. I'm not sure if there are any other differences.

That's awesome abraham! It definitely adds another level to the game. Once everything is set up there are massive profits to be had!
Rip Rap is indeed the construction technical term.

The geologist and his riprap :D

Be careful with your water pumps. You might use more water than is flowing and lower the river level.

Make a Racoon City or Silent Hill.
