How is every boss fight neutral or bad for the gardevoir line? Mine swept brawly and Norman. Type match ups aren’t actually everything. Edit: I also forgot mine saved me in the Wattson fight because my grovyle sucked.

As for the Macho Brace question, I personally allow anything that’s a time saving measure. Similar to what Pchal does with Rare Candies. If I had unlimited time every Pokémon would be brought to the level cap before fighting a gym leader, by fighting lower level wild pokemon with no risk of losing anyone so I use cheats to put rare candies in my bag. In the same way I could spend all that time EV training my pokemon the Macho Brace just makes it go faster.

You can only do this in ruby and sapphire. The pokegear on emerald has a call option that will interrupt it a lot.

You can access a kings rock even earlier in the game with zigzagoon on certain routes. You have a random chance of it using its pick up ability to get it.

This was an interesting run. I think you have some room for improvement when it comes to playing around crits though.

I'm gonna disagree pretty heavily with Cacturne's placement. I don't think it's fantastic by any means, but its type is excellent for late Hoenn with all the Psychic, Ghost, and Water-types around. That alone should put it into C at least.

Soda pop is extremely overpowered, such an underrated item. It's why most of my money gets drained.

Answering the Macho Brace/HM Mule question, I play as if it's the real run. If there are no mons left to use an HM, the run is dead and I have to reset. Same goes for the Macho Brace. There is no way to obtain it under the following ruleset so you should not be able to use it. Otherwise I'd be catching a Relicanth in all of my Emerald playthroughs to unlock the Regi trio.

The first gen 3 game I got was Emerald. Never bought it, I found it on the ground, partially trampled into the dirt at a cross country meet. I dug it out and popped it in my Gameboy only to find a 10-minute save file. Later, I got sapphire and gave it to my sister.

There is no worst Pokemon since you can always use a great strategy to overcome a frontal assault. A very hard run would be 1 Pokemon type only since the opponent type Pokemon can become a wall sometimes.

Alternative Money making method: You first get a Zigzagoon, level it up to 29 to teach it COVET. Then you'll get one random pokémon to make it hold Amulet Coin. There's a Rich Boy and a Lady at both ends of Route 104, who each have a single Zigzagoon/Linoone with their held item being a nugget. They are rematchable through Trainers Eye function of Poké-Nav. Basically you put your amulet coin holder first, switch it with your Covet user, steal the nugget & finish the fight. You'll have 14.400 + 5000 pokédollars from EACH fight that way. So that's 38.800 pokédollars total from two short fights. The way to get them to rematch is simply running around in the route 104 and checking Trainers Eye function to see if they have a Poké Ball symbol beside thier name. You can speed this up in Emerald by having a pokémon with Lightning Rod ability infront of your party, which increases the Match Calls you get.

One important thing: HEART SCALES! You need to teach pokémon moves from their natural learn sets and they only come from Luvdisc you get in Evergrande City pool just before the victory road.

They also did this in Fire Red and Leaf Green.

If Castform had a rock form, I bet it probably would have a small niche in gen 3 ou. A rock type weather ball would hit very hard against a lot of the meta game if it kept the immunity to sandstorm. Not to mention an instant tpye change to a resist if someone changed the weather on a permanent sandstorm. Plus, it has access to thunderwave to predict and punish weather setters. Especially to remove the speed bonus of chlorophyll and swift swim users. You can even keep a solar beam/water pulse on standby to para-fuse a rain dancer, or OHKO a sunny day Camerupt. But that's very luck dependent and prediction reliant.

Cause i heard that pokemon leveled up in the daycare and through rare candy dont get any extra stats when leveling up they just get the level "number" raised is that true?
