Abra is very easy to catch with chimchar. Taunt disables teleport and from there it's pretty much a guaranteed catch. Actually noticed that by accident during a professor oak challenge
@@grumpygengar22 it's useful to know for a nuzlocke, since you can guarantee an Abra in route 203 if you've got a starly, Bidoof and shinx from previous routes.
This is looking to be a fun and interesting playthrough! Glad everything is going according to plan on the second attempt. It's unfortunate that Piplup had such bad crit luck, but Torterra is such a great mon I'll be happy see how it does. Good luck on the rest of the run!
So excited for this new series! In regard to the type chart, i think that the greyed out icons are a little tough to see. The red x's could work, or simply eliminating unavailable types altogether as i feel most ppl watching are familiar with the 17 types of gen 4
Grumpy with another gen 4 adventure 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 love to see it. I would have stayed with Chimchar. I know you used Chimchar in your first run. But infernape is the best for fire and one of the best for fighting. Turtwig could have easily lost there without those 2 quick claw procs and if roark got a flinch in. Love the content!
Oooooooh I thought you can only use a pure water or ground or fighting type in this run. So no evolving for chimchar since he gains the fighting type. But yours makes sense too. I once did a version of a type death nuzlocke. So I could use all Mons but if e.g. Staraptor died, the normal and flying type died with it along with all pokemons of said types. Have fun anyways!
Couldnt you just KO a wild encounter if you dont want to add it to your team? You'd just lose the area's encounter. But I guess that would make it too easy to plan your team, so it makes sense you're not doing it that way.
I could I suppose, I just like having the tension of possibly losing out on a good Pokémon. I feel like it would make it a bit too easy for me to design the exact team I wanted, making the main ruleset kinda pointless
Thanks for the videos! You’ve got a great voice for this and narrate your playthrough well

That's so cool! I never think about that kind of stuff, but there really are a lot of niche uses for all sorts of moves

Yeah definitely!
4:56 I can tell you are probably a big overthinker, like me xD
I want to tell you that I appreciate your videos a lot and the chill they vibe

Heck yeah, super pumped for this series. I discovered your channel recently and have been really enjoying your content. Great first episode!
i like how "no duplicate types!" fits into exactly 17 characters, one for each
This is my first time seeing any of your videos and this is such a fun series! Can't wait to see more from you in the future dude!! 👍
Great Nuzlocke idea Grumpy Gengar! Risky and a hard one! Good luck to us! Let's get on the road! I'm excited!
I have come to LOVE the Quick Claw, it's especially good for Turtwig on my runs. I am gonna love seeing where this run goes.
Excited for the new run. The poison run was fantastic btw. Good luck on your sinnoh adventure.

Idk if it’s intentional or not. But the gaps in narration kill me every time lmao 12/10

Im so excited to start this new series, good luck with this run 🥳
Also for future runs, there’s an escape rope in the mine near Roark
Watching you walk through orebeurgh mine was terrifying
Interesting idea, I'm excited
oreburgh mine has an escape rope in it, you dont need to worry about the wild encounters
Jesus why didn't I think about that.. that would have been so much easier haha
really like this ruleset cause it's kinda similar to how i tend to play the game minus the nuzlocking
great video and interesting run, but regarding the type chart u could maybe just not show the types that are no longer eligible
Yeah I'll have to see what I can do
The first time I play a Pokemon game, I always apply the no duplicate types rule.
Awesome way to play!
Cool!
Hey great vid! Just heads up you got two poison types, and looks like your missing ghost in your chart.
After you catch zubat
Yep, that'll get fixed during the second episode
Sounds very fun to try!
I'll go with Chimchar and let's see how far I can get
this run looks interesting ^^
cranidos sweep lol
When is part 3 coming?
This Friday!

If you dont go to the name rater for zoos im gonna be so mad LMAO
Haha, I'll think about it 😉
The “greying” out looks not that good, should make it a bit more obvious that its not available 😁
If you don't want that encounter for that route, why don't you just not catch it and then you just lose that encounter for that route
I could I suppose, I just like having the tension of possibly losing out on a good Pokémon. I feel like it would make it a bit too easy for me to design the exact team I wanted, making the main ruleset kinda pointless
i watch grumpy gengar videos at 1x speed 🤘⏱️
Hell yeah 😎
Good luck. Like the concept and your vids . 🫡
