Wow!
Where i can bought the models?
I may have a dumb question. What is the "New Chronicles" book?
What a cool collection to have Star Wars is amazing I wonder if that company could make a 1/12 scale? Great video
Hi John could you tell me wich Archive-X grey should i use on an AT AT 1/144 many thanks ,Michael
Hi, I used SP Lettering grey :)
Nice to get a preview of this 👍🏻
Love these
Yeah they’re great mate
Super detail and some great tips and tricks 👌🏻 Thanks
Everything you've done with this project is amazing. Bravo and WOW! ❤💯
Like the progress. On scribing, I don't particularly like dymo tape. It never feels quite right. I like the DSPIAE scribing tape. It is slightly translucent with markings on it for measurement. Also, it looked like you were using a lot of pressure with that wide chisel blade. Less is better. Again, I like the DSPIAE chisels. A very narrow scriber along the tape very very lightly, then another pass, then another, etc. Never pressing. The hook type blades don't work well for that light approach and I find they work better once you've got a good channel, as you stated. So, a sharp push style chisel (which can be drawn or pushed) and that will get you started. I don't know what type of material that cylinder part is, but you can clean up the burrs on styrene or ABS by running a line of cement through the channel and the cement sort of melts things nicely. Can't wait to see more.
Why not placing another tape next to it but leave a bit in between to scribe? Perhaps you can control it better? Just a fools ideea😅
The tie bomber factory! This is awesome Job, congratulations john! Greetings from México
looking good!
I believe the wing cannons on the Imperial Shuttle have been assembled upsidedown. When in flight mode they should sit close to the body of the ship and not the angle of the wings.
Not in this case. This is a scratch built replica of the Hyperspace jump scene miniature, a very different and smaller model.
Thank you Lee, yeah completely different model to the big one people are familiar with.
Those bombers are sick mate!!! Love the shuttle & dish maquettes.
John, wonderful work. Question for you? What scale are those Tie Bombers and that ATST walker? They appear smaller than Studio scale (1/24)
The Tie Bomber is around 1/48, I imagine to match the ESB Falcon and AMT X Wings used in the film (though those were around 1/43)
The Imperial Shuttle's wing cannons are installed upside down. The cannons are supposed to be on the top of the discs while in flight mode.
No, they are not, trust me, I researched and built it. Your basing your comment on the wrong model.
Yes this is the smaller model, you can hear Bill talk about it on the Blu Ray extras
Brilliant work and awesome videos John. One of these days. I will need to put in an order. Keep up the great work!
I'm a simple guy, I see your new video and immediately hit the like button 😀I put off scribing for as long as I possibly can... it's just too stressful...😬
High praise mate, high praise.
Actually watched you scribing those lines with one eye shut and looking over my shoulder, that looks traumatic 😜 Good stuff 👍🏻
Very nice model! Best when I’ve seen yet.
I have noticed that in a couple of videos that you thinned your archive-x paints with water, do you ever use the archive-x thinner when you thin?
Excellent tutorial… learned a lot from that… thanks for doing this 👍🏻
Small for 'Studio Scale" ... given my experince..
Please let me know base color.
Archive X Reefer white :)
Amazing kit
Great paint job
Can you share the nerfherders site , I can only find a toy site , thanks
Great stuff, but don't beat yourself up about quality. Sometimes the perfection you crave, just doesnt exist on the real thing. Fantastic vid as always...
I’m glad to finally be giving back after absorbing so much from you. That said, let the sweet talking begin. 😜
Looking like a great bomber John. Loving this build mate. 🙂
Great video my friend. I love all the new goodwill and helpfulness in the group.
Always a nice surprise when you upload a new vid.
Marc Thorpe
Ahh that’s him thank you dude
Happy to be a small part of one of your fantastic builds. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Thanks so much mate for your help really appreciate it
I would love to print it

@@johnsimmonsscalemodelling5270 Great value, considering the quality of this replica 👍🏻
Badass! Props (😉) To Marv and Roy!
Cool offering by Marv and Roy. Gonna have to pick one up…
Hi John. Sorry to comment on an old video but I’m thinking of starting one of these and wondered if the leg actuators and antenna come with Sergios kit or have to be sourced elsewhere?
Where did you buy it?
Most incredible work my friend, absolutely love the detail. outstanding job. For sure a work of art. I am blown away.
Should the wings not be horizontal?
Really cool.
Greetings. and in what program, or where in general did you take the 3D elements for the model?
Awesome 😊
Mate, sack that AK off and use GreenStuffWorld chrome metal. Is extremely easy ;) (and never clear coat over a chrome paint).
