Awesome! Perfect example of getting your model building groove on to the max! You are an inspiration to all who go beyond the envelope and scratchbuild whatever you visualize and bring it to something that's cool to you, which influences the rest of us to add to our level of creativity to come with something special; it's as if we are all individually our own model manufacturers because there's no way even the best manufacturer will approach issuing certain kits, unless they see dollar signs or get by these horrific licensing fees just to get it to the model building community. We can take a lot of the crap they put out (and there's tons of it out there) , and come up with a killer piece. Thanks again for sharing your passion and showing us who are terrible at math, that only in modeling, can you put 5 and 4 together and come up with 60! Love your enthusiasm, passion, and courage to push the envelope and just say....." to hell with the stick and push the damn light speed button"... to bring your imagination to fruition. You are a certified badass; keep em coming, we really dig it!
Wow what an absolutely lovely comment, that’s really made my day thank you. But as I’ve said before I couldn’t do this without the masters that have gone before me and my friends in the hobby that I’ve looked up to and have been kind enough to teach me the tricks and tips along the way. We’re all in this together and the methods need to be shared so we all get the maximum enjoyment out of this niche little hobby we all love. Happy new year!
Really enjoying your videos they are an absolute must for reference material and your models are stunning... When are you planning to build the studio scale B-wing? As I'm very interested in your archive x paint choice for the blue / grey panels and orange spots..
This is really great. Your underside details are right in line with the ILM kitbashing spirit! Do you use original kit parts or do you make molds? At 12:14 I think I recognize a Tamiya 1/32 F-14 back, some AV-8B Harrier engine intakes (?), a bit of WWII battleship superstructure and 16" gun turrets (from an Iowa class, maybe?), def some 1/144 Saturn V engine and LEM halves, maybe Airfix or Monogram. Can't make out what's on the tail structure though. Part of a V8 engine? It's all fantastic!
😂😂 I's still watching the beginning, I know exactly what film you mean, but like you I can't for the life of me remember the title. Its the one with the fighting Teddy Bears
So I’m re-watching battle for Endor on Disney+… haven’t seen it for years! Use to have a vhs from when we taped it off TV on the original airing, and I’d watch it over and over! It’s not winning any Oscar’s for sure, but it’s not the WORST movie ever… ninja turtles 3 turtles in time is WAY worse than this…
It’s so bad… even when it was new and I WANTED to see it, I rented it and after about twenty minutes I couldn’t watch it… so I tried to watch it in fast forward (back when you could do that with vhs) and it was STILL so unbearable I couldn’t handle it! And I LIKE crappy movies! I grew up on Godzilla and Roger Corbin movies… I tried to rewatch it as an adult just ironically to see if it had become so bad it was good, like George Clooneys Batman, but alas, it was still unwatchable garbage… but I digress 🤪

The movies are great. They worked as fun adventure movies for kids. Way better than the prequels or sequels. And i loved that "guy" and Teek.
Noah, his name was Noah
Very cool! You just got to love scratch building. Great work John.
Thank you! Yes it’s true modelling for sure

Sensacional !!!!!!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Almost looks like a cross of the Battlestar Galactica Cylone and the fighter from Stargate TV show.
Yes I’ve been thinking that myself
You keep pulling rabbits out of hats mate 😁👌
Lol cheers man
It's great.
Thank you!
Where did you get those domes? Plastruct? I'm sure I had a look through and couldn't find anthing that big (that's what she said).
They’re custom pulls from a local company mate
@@johnsimmonsscalemodelling5270 Aaah poo. Thanks
Great to see a scratch builder like myself without using a damn 3D printer.
Yeah it’s lovely to be working with styrene and abs ;)
