Like the progress. On scribing, I don't particularly like dymo tape. It never feels quite right. I like the DSPIAE scribing tape. It is slightly translucent with markings on it for measurement. Also, it looked like you were using a lot of pressure with that wide chisel blade. Less is better. Again, I like the DSPIAE chisels. A very narrow scriber along the tape very very lightly, then another pass, then another, etc. Never pressing. The hook type blades don't work well for that light approach and I find they work better once you've got a good channel, as you stated. So, a sharp push style chisel (which can be drawn or pushed) and that will get you started. I don't know what type of material that cylinder part is, but you can clean up the burrs on styrene or ABS by running a line of cement through the channel and the cement sort of melts things nicely. Can't wait to see more.

I'm a simple guy, I see your new video and immediately hit the like button 😀I put off scribing for as long as I possibly can... it's just too stressful...😬

Actually watched you scribing those lines with one eye shut and looking over my shoulder, that looks traumatic 😜 Good stuff 👍🏻

I believe the wing cannons on the Imperial Shuttle have been assembled upsidedown. When in flight mode they should sit close to the body of the ship and not the angle of the wings.

Not in this case. This is a scratch built replica of the Hyperspace jump scene miniature, a very different and smaller model.

The Imperial Shuttle's wing cannons are installed upside down. The cannons are supposed to be on the top of the discs while in flight mode.

No, they are not, trust me, I researched and built it. Your basing your comment on the wrong model.

Yes this is the smaller model, you can hear Bill talk about it on the Blu Ray extras

John, wonderful work. Question for you? What scale are those Tie Bombers and that ATST walker? They appear smaller than Studio scale (1/24)

The Tie Bomber is around 1/48, I imagine to match the ESB Falcon and AMT X Wings used in the film (though those were around 1/43)

Why not placing another tape next to it but leave a bit in between to scribe? Perhaps you can control it better? Just a fools ideea😅
