Arica, you are a wealth of knowledge! I just watched your stitching faster video right before this one while using Gentle Art thread on a piece of raw linen. When stitching directionally with floss I can completely feel the difference on the raw linen, its so much smoother! Thank you for this tip and everything you share. ❤

I watched your Flosstubeversity episode on directional threads. What a game changer! I have been feeling for the correct direction, whether silks or cotton. My thread glide smoothly through the fabric and I have not experienced knotting at all. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. ❤

Superb cross stitch. Would love to see what your conversion would be. DMC is my preferred floss as specialty floss can be quite expensive. The giveaway is magnificent. I love all your projects. I learned more and more with your flosstube.

Great video! I have a question…if using the loop start method, the directionality of the thread won’t work so should I keep using the loop method or not? I always seem to get some ‘fuzziness’ to my thread which drives me crazy! Not to mention fighting with cut ends that want to come through the front too. 😢

I had to laugh when you said your husband questioned the alphabet. My husband still believes i stitch the samplers with alphabets because I'm a former elementary school teacher and he thinks I'm conditioned to teach letters to children. Poor man! I'm so glad to see that there are stitches out there like me who have multiple works in progress and still start more. 😂

For your school, a class on figuring out how much floss and size of fabric would be useful.

Arica, this was wonderful…but question….does this mean you shouldn’t use floss drops and pull a thread from the skein? In doing so, when you unwind the DMC and then fold in half, cut, etc. to appropriate length, it’s almost impossible to know which direction is the correct end. ??

My question is, could you please show us a 2 strand floss blend stitch. Thank you.😊
