I am working on Winter Stars by Modern Folk Embroidery while I’m watching you two ladies ! I’m doing it on navy blue Aida but I changed the colors to dark and light turquoise, two shades of lime green and white.

Great job everyone - beautiful work! 👏🏻 Your comments about filling our bucket with things we need, like stitching and commradery, were so “on point”. We need those who can organize, the movers and shakers, and, those who know their limitations and how to set priorities. For me personally, I have learned, enjoyed and appreciated both of you! Love love it all and I haven’t picked my Dragon as yet for this year but she will have Fire! I have read maybe 80% of all books dragon and have stitched a Teresa wincler many years ago but I can’t remember the name. I do remember it took a while! She is a master of color though and both of you have gorgeous stitches going! I always enjoy your videos! I did drop my Enchanted Mermaid today for framing so I’m excited about that too! ❤ blessings ladies❤

Love watching both of you, so fun! My husband, when he was alive, loved taking me to the crossstitch and quilt shop. They were in the same shopping center. He loved coming in with me and picking out for me to do. The ladies in the shops loved him. The first stitch I did that he picked out was Lavender and Lace, Santa of the Woods it hangs on the wall all the time.

I am so way behind working on my dragon --I lost the project for a while (it fell behind my couch), then I found an error & am still frogging so I can fix it. I'm a new subscriber, I just stumbled on your channel. I love the dragon Sal. I'm a big fan of Theresa Wentzler and have a lot of patterns of hers. I finished one of hers called The Castle.I have taken a break from stitching for a while and have just started up again. I also do a lot of knitting. I mostly stitch full coverage and also a lot of kits. I have a lot of Dimension kits that I'm working on. Love the dragon bag you made. It is on FIRE! 😊

Oh, some of the dragon patterns you showed are outstandingly beautiful 😍 I am stitching my HAED (Trick or Treat 2), on 25 Zweigart Lugana 1 over 1 full cross and I think it looks quite good. I wouldn't go on higher count because it would be a torment and I wouldn't go on lower count either because the end product would be huge! I do park a little bit but I don't do this parking method that you have a million threads hanging loose because first of all it drives me crazy and second I think the threads get a bit worn out. I am not an expert on HAEDs though, but I have to say that it's fun and it's a completely different way of stitching, in my opinion 🙂 So thanks for the really fun video, the sugar incident was funny and sweet and I am looking forward to watching your next one 😀🥛🧵🪡

You are always so fun together you are on fire I went for my birthday to my LNS with my husband and daughter. It’s about 1 1/2 hour from my house. I got all I need to do the free bee from Mirabilia. I will try to stitch a small one before starting mermaid of the peals. Thanks you for your enthusiasm, it gave me the confidence to start beading a mirabilia
Oh o enjoyed your comment so much! What a great birthday gift and I’m so happy to hear you are diving in with the bee! The bee has a lot of specialty stuff so if you don’t love that just be mindful most Mira’s have a ton of dmc and a sprinkle of fun. Mermaid of pearls though has a lot of fun 🤩

I go to a smaller retreat in mid September. I hope to go next fall for Stitch North when Jeanette Douglas is there. Stitch North is like a stitching circus - lots of noise, lots of stitchers and lots of shopping.I did not do table gifts

Oh Samantha, you could easily do a full coverage cross stitch if you really desired to. You are an excellent stitcher! There is no one way to do it. We all find what we personally prefer like all other forms of stitching. Personally, I love to do my large full coverage as follows: 20 count gridded Aida. Two strands, full x’s. I color complete one full page of my pattern at a time, then move on to the next color. When that full page is finished I go on to the next page. My preference is for the stitches to be full and no white fabric showing through. My pieces are highly detailed with 208-300 colors. You might prefer another method but you would likely discover for yourself very quickly 😁. Happy Stitching!

Lovely video! For the year of the dragon SAL I'm stitching on my forest dragon from Riolis (A kit) and I got a good chunk done past weekend! I'm loving the colours on it so much! And that bag is literally 🔥 . Fire .

That fire dragon bag is fine because it is big. It will be good for a larger project - like a dragon by Teresa Wentzler, right? Samantha - at our first Guild meeting in September, I will bring all my Jacob physical patterns for you to look over. If they are physical, it is because I got them from Evertote. I also have some PDFs from Jacob's website. At Jacob Palooza last October, I asked him to sign every one of the physical charts. It took him about 10 minutes!! Arica - you want to work in a stitchy shop so why don't you do that in your own stitchy shop - start one in your area. Why not? Think about it.

Oh, some of the dragon patterns you showed are outstandingly beautiful 😍 I am stitching my HAED (Trick or Treat 2), on 25 Zweigart Lugana 1 over 1 full cross and I think it looks quite good. I wouldn't go on higher count because it would be a torment and I wouldn't go on lower count either because the end product would be huge! I do park a little bit but I don't do this parking method that you have a million threads hanging loose because first of all it drives me crazy and second I think the threads get a bit worn out. I am not an expert on HAEDs though, but I have to say that it's fun and it's a completely different way of stitching, in my opinion 🙂 So thanks for the really fun video, the sugar incident was funny and sweet and I am looking forward to watching your next one 😀🥛🧵🪡

I went for my birthday to my LNS with my husband and daughter. It’s about 1 1/2 hour from my house. I got all I need to do the free bee from Mirabilia. I will try to stitch a small one before starting mermaid of the peals.

I go to a smaller retreat in mid September. I hope to go next fall for Stitch North when Jeanette Douglas is there. Stitch North is like a stitching circus - lots of noise, lots of stitchers and lots of shopping.I did not do table gifts

Oh Samantha, you could easily do a full coverage cross stitch if you really desired to. You are an excellent stitcher! There is no one way to do it. We all find what we personally prefer like all other forms of stitching. Personally, I love to do my large full coverage as follows: 20 count gridded Aida. Two strands, full x’s. I color complete one full page of my pattern at a time, then move on to the next color. When that full page is finished I go on to the next page. My preference is for the stitches to be full and no white fabric showing through. My pieces are highly detailed with 208-300 colors. You might prefer another method but you would likely discover for yourself very quickly 😁. Happy Stitching!

That fire dragon bag is fine because it is big. It will be good for a larger project - like a dragon by Teresa Wentzler, right? Samantha - at our first Guild meeting in September, I will bring all my Jacob physical patterns for you to look over. If they are physical, it is because I got them from Evertote. I also have some PDFs from Jacob's website. At Jacob Palooza last October, I asked him to sign every one of the physical charts. It took him about 10 minutes!! Arica - you want to work in a stitchy shop so why don't you do that in your own stitchy shop - start one in your area. Why not? Think about it.
