The Best EDC Pouch I've Ever Used (Evergoods CIVIC Access Pouch 2L Review)
The Evergoods CAP2 has become one of my all-time favorite products. I'm genuinely so impressed by the thought and intention that went into designing this thing. I still love my Peak Design tech pouch and have found a new use for it, but as far as a daily driver is concerned, it's the Civic Access Pouch for me.
I have no affiliation with Evergoods, and I will not get any commission if you use this link; just want to share a good product. Check out the CAP2 here: bit.ly/evergoods-cap2

A Short Film to help your Anxiety
มุมมอง 3.4Kปีที่แล้ว
I don't talk about my anxiety because I often convince myself that it isn't "serious enough," or that if I made a piece of art to convey how it feels, it wouldn't be "good enough." This short film is my tentative rejection of both of those ideas. I'm still nervous to share it, but I am so genuinely happy with the way this story evolved over a few months. Tattoo Commercial (Shot on Canon C70)

This commercial was such a fun change of pace! I never create videos like this, and it was really engaging to lean into a totally different style. I made this quick commercial for our friend David, who’s a super talented tattoo artist. I filmed everything on a Canon C70 with a 24mm 1.4 lens. Color graded with Phantom LUTs and some Ezra Cohen grain graphic assets. More of my work: ...

Kodak's most underrated film stock
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
A short love letter to (in my opinion) Kodak's most under-appreciated film stock. Ektar 100 is one of my favorite films, and it also happens to be the most affordable color film stock in Kodak's "professional" line. I started using it because it was cheap, but completely fell in love with it after seeing the first scans back. Nearly two years later, it's still one of my favorite film stocks, es...

What camera were you using it in mirrorless? If yes was it using the ef to rf adapter?
Great and kind video, my distant friend! I watched it with great pleasure and I am grateful to you for it. Keep making videos about notebooks and pens and share your emotions and impressions about them. You're doing well!
I have a sneaking suspicion your advice “Do not buy this lens” will actually drive a lot of sales of said lens. 🤡
The slowing down of the transfer is probably down to the Mac's cache ~ Nothing you can do about that. Temperature also adds to the slow down. The faster the activity, the hotter something gets.
0:45 Do you not remove pimples in post?
I will if the client asks me to, but I don’t retouch anyone’s face without getting their consent (or a request) first!
@StevenSchultz interesting. I do this by default 🤔.
So pleased that you actually spoke about the quote as "the actual quote" and not how most in the modern world use it. I am subbing simply because of that. Keep on smashing it :)
Ah man, thank you so much! Means a lot to hear that :) Cheers, Leroy!
Hi what hoodie are you wearing, looks good on you.
I agree, the 50mm RF 1.2 is the way! 😎⚡️🤙
to be fair the san disc reader is optimized for the san disc card
You mentione this saves them in either JPEG and TIFF. I was primarily looking for a document scanner so it seens this would not suit my needs. I need files to be in either PDF and/Word. To be clear, this scanner does this scanner save in PDF? Thank you for the review.
Hi there! Yes, this scanner will save in PDF format as well. The “photo scan” mode that I demonstrate here only scans in photo-specific file formats, but there’s a “document” mode for PDF files. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for clarifying!
brilliant!!!!!
Thank you!!
I definitely feel like I get more done with a notebook
Love to hear that! Thanks for watching!
I've had the CPL 24 for a few years so really like the brand, butwhenever I saw the 2L pouch, I thought it looked nice for sure but did not understand the hype.... until now
Hey Steven, could I ask you how you made (or where you got) those light leak (or whatever) transitions at 3:18 or 4:03? Btw I really, really, REALLY appreciate that you take time to reply to comments and Instagram dms! I realize how difficult it can be to make time for that. :)
I purchased those transitions from EZCO, which is now called Happy Editing. I use a lot of their assets on so many of my projects! And thanks so much for saying that :) I’m happy to help whenever I can!! Cheers!
@@StevenSchultz Awesome, thanks! I’ll definitely check out their assets. Making something like that would be soooo time consuming.
Subscribed for this honest review.
Thank you so much!
That is what i love about canon glass! Less sharpness just enough softness for portrait. Not like the other brands portraits just looks too sharp.
Totally! The glass has always been the thing I love most about the Canon system. Thanks for watching!
Can you use the C lenses on this? If so do you need an adapter? Like the 80mm f1.9?
best reviewer on youtube lmaoo
Haha! Thanks for watching!
I just thought to look up if anybody tried this method on a medium format camera, to see if you could get the look close to those ethereal photos from the days of "big box on a tripod" photography from ages ago. Lo and behold - yes! but the feeling is not the same. The focus fall-off in the old photos is just so surreal, you get a good chunk in focus (i.e. a woman sat on a chair, in the garden in focus but everything in front of her and behind her just melts away into mily ethereal blur. Magical)
Okay take my money
Bro you would LOVE this thing!
I in love with this bag, but $75… I’m going to need someone on Etsy or Temu to watch this video.
your dope. that is all
You just made my day! Thanks so much, Scott! 🙏🏻

Why am I watching this I own two of these lol
The amount of times I’ve done this for other bags 😂 So relatable, haha. Thanks for watching!!
There's one in my area secondhand bundled with a canon elph for 10usd. Untested but I wanna take the chance. Ty for the review/examples
No way!! Totally worth the risk, that’s a crazy deal. Thanks for watching, hope you get those cameras!
@StevenSchultz it went quick. Shoulda messaged them asap :(
This helped me make up my mind. Buying the SD now. Thx
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!

I think I’d need a MUCH bigger version to declutter my life 😂
Hahaha! 😂
Love the review. I love your enthusiasm, even though you’re not affiliated and get no commission. I don’t love the fact that it is sold out. I guess that’s what they make bookmarks in your browser for.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked the video. I was bummed that they went out of stock so quickly, but they actually just restocked all colors this weekend! They’re available on the Evergoods site now. Thanks again!
@StevenSchultz If you like the CAP, you should check out the ALPAKA Vertex Pouch
This video was 10 minutes too long

Thanks, but distracting music..

This shot on the new Sony ? Looks great!
Yes!! S-LOG3 on the A7CII w/ the Sony 20mm 1.8! Glad you like it man 😊
I'm really glad to have found this video, I love seeing your enthusiasm and passion about these functional and aesthetic little things that make our lives better. And I really recognize myself in your way of looking at this pouch and seeing your other tools and gadgets. You are a really pleasant guy and your videos are the perfect mix between interesting and calm. I'd love to see more Videos like this, I liked and followed with a big smile ;)
Thank you so much for saying that! I'm so glad you resonated with it and feel the same way about these types of things. I've got a whole queue of videos like this that I'd love to make, and will hopefully be sharing soon. Thanks again!! :)
Do CANON FD 50/1.4 ssc and canon fd 50/1.4 NFD have radiation?
To my knowledge, the FD 50 1.4 SSC is not radioactive!
@ Many thanks for the help
Before this video, I didn’t understand why I need a "tech pouch" because my "normal pouch" works fine for my tech stuff. After this video, as thoughtfully designed as this is, I still don’t think I need something like this, but I JUST. WANT. ONE. I skipped this brand because I’m not a fan of their logo patch on other bags, but they should be paying you for this. Also your calm and detailed delivery, AND the video production is really enjoyable too. Thanks for this video.
Great video. I can see myself getting a cap 1 and two for my bags. Seems more slim line than what im.using.
Thanks so much! The CAP1 looks awesome and I'd love to try one out soon. Seems like a great fit for slimmer pockets or messenger style bags. Thanks again, Mark!
Hey, loved the video. Do you know if this lens is radioactive? I've done a lot of research but can neither confirm nor deny. Hope you can help
Thanks so much, Jake! From what I've read online from a few sources, it is not radioactive!
Fantastic review of the CAP2. I have three in the rotation-tech, camera, and toiletries for work travel. I share the same feelings about the design-it's perfect. Do you have a CAP1? If not, I highly recommend picking one up. And don't let the size fool you.
Thank you so much! That sounds like an awesome setup you’ve got there. I don’t have a CAP1, but I’ve heard great things about it. How do you generally use yours? I’d love to get a sense of what it’s best suited for!
Great color grading, your video looks really clean
Thank you so much!!
75$ is more than double what this should cost. It’s unbelievable how much they’re charging for stuff like this. It’s almost offensive that something that should make working easier and more affordable is costing that absurd amount of money. This is not just a thing with this specific brand, but it’s a problem concerning the whole industry. Really a shame
CAP2 is part of my office edc.
Love to hear that! Thanks for watching!
I've seen plenty of reviews about the CAP 2, but yours is without a doubt the best. Specs are great and all, but hearing you describe the emotional response an organizational pouch elicited in you, that's what sold me. Good product design is functional art and I really wish more companies kept that in mind when designing their products.
Wow, thank you so much! That’s so kind of you to say, and I really appreciate it. I love the way you described good design as functional art; that’s spot-on, and I think it’s why I can’t help but speak emotionally about it. Really glad you connected with this, my friend. Thanks so much for watching, and for the kind words :)
@StevenSchultz absolutely! Just subscribed and I'm really looking forward to catching up on everything I've missed so far and seeing what you do next!
Thank you so much! :)
Great video, you sold me! but they are sold out! I guess you sold a lot of people.
Thanks so much! Bummer to see that most colors are sold out. It looks like the coyote brown color is still in stock, though!!
@@StevenSchultz Ack! the last color I want... buy or wait, so hard.
And and like many reviewed items they are sold out.
The coyote brown color is in stock!
out of stock
The Coyote Brown color is still in stock!
You missed out another big advantage: stability. So if you're travelling on a plane or boat or bus, this opened pack will not fall over. Then that leads to another thing you touch upon - the subconscious feeling of re-assuance or pleasure in using a well designed object. In this case, even if you are at home or in a hotel using this, the fact that it is stable feels good, even though those places do not roll around. Also, you can't accidentally knock it over, plus maybe your cat can't knock it over. Our subconscious is calculating all this stuff in the background, even if we aren't!
YES!!! Oh my gosh, I wish I had highlighted this point more. You're exactly right. The structure and shape of it provides so much security, which in turn allows you to use it more confidently in more places. Spot-on, my friend!! Thanks for pointing this out, it's such an important part of the bag; especially because my cat has absolutely tried to knock it over before, and has not succeeded, haha! Thanks so much for watching!!
Such a nice review!!! Appreciate it, you made me convinced to buy another CAP2 <3
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it! :)
A men's handbag that you can't attach to your body like the belt or cross-body is a tough no-go
You actually could attach a strap to the top of the bag, if you really wanted to! I haven't done it myself, but there are two short pieces of webbing on either side of the top handle that could probably accommodate a strap of some kind, if you wanted to wear it like a crossbody.
Wow I love this. Using good design principles to create a product that is (evidently) steeped in Japanese design history is so 🤌🏻 I loooove products that are well-considered
Yessir!! So much careful consideration went into this thing. It's a joy to use! Thanks for watching, brother!!
If only it could fit a iPad mini…
That would have been great! Maybe they’ll eventually launch a larger version with the same overall design. Thanks for watching!
