Great question! I don’t travel with constant lights as often as I travel with flash/strobe lights, but when I have, we’ve used a combination of ThinkTank production roller bags and Pelican cases to house Aputure lights and Manfrotto travel light stands. The Manfrotto Alu-Ranker Air Cushioned stands are excellent, as they pack down small and pretty flat. Really well designed! As for tripods, I love my Peak Design travel tripod. It holds our cinema camera setup well, packs down extremely small, and it’s super lightweight. I can fit it in my Away carry on suitcase without breaking a sweat. Highly recommend it for travel!
I have TSA precheck and I went to the Atlanta airport back in October last year and I couldn't believe how line the precheck line was. It had at least 100 people in line and the regular line had at least 400. I almost shit my pants. Thankfully precheck still goes way faster anyway so it took about 30-45 minutes to get through, but DAMN.
Oh WOW, that’s crazy!!! I’ve never experienced a precheck line like that before. I think the longest I’ve waited is maybe 15-20 minutes on a crowded day, but on average, I’m through security in under 5. So glad you made it through okay!! Stuff like that can totally derail a travel day. Thanks for watching!
I also travel a ton for work- currently packing for a trip as this popped up in my notifications. It is such a privilege to get these kind of opportunities, so thanks for offering up some helpful new tips I haven't considered! It may not be a reality for everyone but these tips are so helpful for those of us it is a reality for. Keep up the great work!
"Make travel as comfortable as possible" - I'm definitely on board with this sentiment. Every little convenience you can take to make it a more enjoyable to a very broken and outdated onboarding experience is the way 💪💪
Working with National Geographic- I most learned how to travel and how to survive out in the wilderness 😂 learning how to travel will totally help your work flow for when the time comes.
I like your content usually, Steven. However - making a video about flying 81 times in 18 months and proudly sharing tips without even mentioning the crazy environmental impact this has…I don’t know man.
Honestly man, I totally feel you. I should have mentioned it and I’m sorry I didn’t, as I also hate the environmental impact it has. Nearly all of these flights were for work and I didn’t have much of a choice, so my hope was to take the situation and spin it into a positive by giving travel advice to other people. Hope that gives a little more context for my intention behind it. I appreciate you saying this, Jakob, sincerely!
I hear you, Fred! I certainly didn’t mean to make this amount of travel feel normal-it truly is disconnected from most people’s reality. My only hope was to take this isolated experience that I had and synthesize it into helpful advice. I’m sorry it didn’t land well with you, and I hope you choose to stick around!
Great tips👍🏾
Thanks so much for watching!! 🙏
Great tips fam💯🙌🏽
Appreciate you!!! ❤️
Great tips man!
Thanks Joe!! :)
Some of the tips are more US centric but I guess everyone can adapt to their country; or try at least. Great video 😁
Good advice. What are your thoughts on traveling with lighting equipment? Any recommendations? How about a tripod and other camera support?

I like your chanel but my finger is close to the unsubscribe button. This content is quite disconnected from reality.
