1956 World Series Game 5 Highlights (Brooklyn Dodgers Vs New York Yankees)
Hardly any homeruns at a ll but tremendous pure hitter.
my favorite part of the game os David Wells yelling FUCK!!
Se nos fue muy temprano
Proud owner of the bluray boxed set of this series.
Hard to believe San Diego put peavy out there for 6 innings and gave up 6 runs. That would never happen today. Maybe it was because the game was back and forth.
R.I.P. Jackie Robinson 1919-1972
Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubek my Absolute two fav Announcers all time
There will never be another Willie Stargell
I like how he dropped the bat when he got a hold of one. Also cool to hear keith Jackson on the call for a couple of these. The voice of college football for me growing up.
3:34 it’s insane backdoor..
My ideal and the best pitcher.
greatest moment!!!!
Mantle is hands down the greatest all around baseball man to ever play the game!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Who died and left you Todd Walker?
Built like Josh Naylor
Let’s keep it 💯 these pitchers nowadays would strike all these guys out!!!
@3:35 that movement was straight up nasty
My favorite pitcher #27 big A’s fan from 68 on through the dynasty
Roberts and Papi...
Big Twins fan. This is my favorite game in baseball history. Great pitching and defense. Big, clutch swings. Everything I want in a baseball game.
1979 World Series MVP- He certainly deserved to be one. The Pirates couldn't be a winner without him. Thanks Willie and all the fans from Pittsburgh will miss you forever!
Has any pitcher gone 10 since Morris?
Hey guys thank you so much for the love received from this video. I would just like to make an apology saying that this was one of my first big videos I made on TH-cam and realize there are many editing errors. At the time I was still learning so thanks for understanding.
La mejor serie mundial de los del domil
It was a simpler time, it was a better time. Because base ball is too boring these days with cellphones, video games, and what not.
The outfield wall played such a big part in this game. 1) Tony Armas injured crashing into it. Dave Henderson doesn't enter the game without the Armas injury. 2) Grich's 2-run homer almost caught by Henderson. 3) Jim Rice's back to the wall catch to prevent an extra-base hit. 4) Brian Downing's sensational catch crashing into the wall to rob Ed Romero. And that Anaheim outfield wall was solid concrete, with just thin padding and a plastic bag covering it up.
One of the greatest athletes to ever live. Crazy to say that when he looks like a fat drunk dad wobbling around the bases after hitting a homerun, but the man swung a bat effortlessly and fucking clobbered balls into orbit. He looks like he is taking practice swings with a wiffle ball bat but when he makes contact it sounds like a gunshot.
The Hendu!!
The "Left Arm of God".
4;01 porque no valio la carrera?
6:45 what a play by dj
Just absolutely nasty.
People who didn't like him would get 😡 when he would pimp a homer, my response to them, if u could hit em like that, u would pimp them too, 😆
AROD smh 🤦♂️ should have just let the game play lol 😂
I loved his swing, he was always my favorite player!!
Best ever 😊
Can't believe mike scott won the mvp from the losing side of it..
All you need to do is listen. The crack of the bat tells you how good he was hitting
My Dad watched the Cubs make it to FIVE series from 1929 to 1945. They didn't win. And he passed a month before they lost to the Marlins in 2003. God, I wish he had been around in 2016. I cannot describe how happy he would have been. Love you, Dad!!
And now that former Dodgers/Red Sox player who helped eliminate the Yankees in 2004 with a gutsy stolen base, did it again just a few days ago when he coached our Los Angeles DODGERS to a World Series victory over the Yankees again in 2024!! 20 years apart! Thank you, Dave Roberts!! 👏 ⚾️🧢💪🏆💯
A Rod was always a cheater and you can see that lol
GREAT GAME
Even Babe Ruth getting walked is a better highlight than any I would see today 🙂
1:00 Ozzie Guillen
0:48 Greg Matthews?
Wait...I was a bit young back in 2004 but when looking back, this Yankee's team was LOADED. By all means some of the boys were past there prime but the name on the checklist is amazing. A-Rod, Jeter, Posada, Matsui, Sheffield, K-Loften, Giambi, Bernie Williams, JOHN OLERUD. Come on...that's video game with cheat codes
What a amazing life he lived
If George were a Yanker I reckon he would be in 500 HR club
