I literally had this issue last week, 2.2 m-sport custom went into limp mode and sounded terrible, plugged it into forscan and fuel temp sensor was ready 95 degrees and outside temp was -3 ! Then it started fluctuating up and down on its own so replaced with a genuine sensor and all seems good again 👍🏻

Will a short on the wiring that you showed have an effect on the state of battery charge when starting the vehicle? We have a power steering lamp illuminated, car starts then after driving short distance , battery has insufficient charge to start again!

i have this issue but it comes and goes so cannot be a fuse, if i turn off then on powersteering is fine drive then no power steering, then sometimes can go a week its fine

Here is another symptom of a faulty fuel temp sensor on a 2015 ford transit custom 2.2. bad fuel ecconomy, rattly engine, and severe clutch judder, ( banging like crazy ) when engine was hot and pulling away in 1st gear. The engine revved perfectly well, ( revved up as if nothing was wrong ) no fault codes, just tappety engine when cold and accelerating when hot and a very severe engine judder when pulling away in 1st gear. BTW my fuel temp sensor snapped in the pump when extracting it :O i screwed a self tapper screw down into the part stuck inside the pump and levered the screw with long nosed mole grips. So revved fine , nofault codes, bad judder when hot and tappety when cold and accelerating. Hope this helps someone .

Hi, great video. Does the system work by giving a constant vacuum to the actuator until you accelerate then the solenoid cuts the vacuum and closes the waste gate? Meaning off the car the solenoid should be open and able to blow in the top port out out of the bottom port Thanks

3 ohms ? Is that with respect to ground ? Do the blue and brown wires go across the pretensioner ,or is one of the cores going to chassis ground?

Any reason you can't test for power to the motor with a multimeter? Or was a lightbulb just easier for you at the time?
