So i wound up trading in for $740 in store credit, what I'd probably paid $550 for... Must've been like 40 lbs. of copper to be honest... heavy old ammo box full!
Awesome trade Pirate, looking to do a similiar trade with some of my 1921 Morgans. It's always a great trade when no fiat is exchanged! Wish me luck, great vid!!!
I've always wanted some pre 33 gold but I still don't have any. I think the designs from back then are pretty cool. I think foreign gold has cool designs too. I don't have any of those either.
I Love My pre 33 I was grabbing it before thin gs got Crazy or at the time it seemed Crazy to Me and now I think I made out Great :) Keep Stacking pre 33 Gold.
do you want any more of the 10 percenter Mexican silver . i have some to get rid of . the coins are 16 grams and have 1.5 to 1.6 grams of silver content . un peso . i scored a heck of a deal on silver today , 108 oz at 50 cents over spot .
Pirate! Put out the fire dude! You got a smokin' hot deal! That's awesome! Now, I'm not telling you what to do, but I'm just going to be honest here. Now that you have a piece of pre-'33 Gold that is large enough to feel the weight of, you really ought to tuck that back into your perma-stack. I don't say that simply because it's pre-'33, but it's because Gold is ultimately going to end up being the place where your wealth can be stored with the most potential for preserving your purchasing power over time and being worth a significant amount if and when you are ever in a circumstance where it makes total sense to sell or trade. Frankly, I'd be saying the same thing even if you had 1/4 ounce modern Gold Eagle in your hand, but this coin is just slightly more special because it has a theoretical margin of safety in being excluded from confiscatory measures by law, as a numismatic collectible coin, that wouldn't necessarily apply to a modern Gold Eagle. Personally, I place very little stock in that distinction, given the corruption that we see, but nonetheless, that distinction exists and gives this coin just the slightest edge over a more modern coin. Of course, you could quibble about the difference in the AGW (Actual Gold Weight), but I don't think that matters enough to do so. Incidentally, I don't have any pre-'33 Gold at all. I tend to focus on the more modern Gold coins. I love the seated as well.....a beautiful coin. 20X face is a great price. Hopefully, you'll have the time & money to bring the Hoover with you in the near future and grab that under spot wealth insurance while it's available. When I watch videos like this one where truly exceptional deals are being made, I still marvel at the fact that most people know nothing about this. I mean, they are struggling to feed their kids, keep their cars, pay their rent, etc..., and they have no idea that it's going to get even worse in the future. If they had a stock of Gold & Silver coins, how much easier would they have made their lives? Even if you were just supplementing your income. What's the downside to having enough Gold & Silver to add $500 or $1,000 to your monthly income to make life livable in a difficult future? It's true that we need food, water, shelter, etc... to just survive, but how do you achieve those things? Yeah, there are some free homeless shelters that will give you food & water and a place to sleep, but absent adopting a homeless lifestyle, which I wouldn't last long in, the way that you achieve those things is with wealth. And to get wealth, you either have to already have it stored from previous work you've done, or you have to do the work today. That's why Gold & Silver represent time and/or your own human labor. Each ounce that you hold in your hands is literally time and effort that you don't have to expend in the future to get the wealth that you need to survive. If people could understand that simple concept, I think everyone would be buying some amount of Gold & Silver with whatever they could afford...even if they had to do without in another area. The ability to think long-term is a direct consequence of your maturity as a human being, and it's long-term thinking that leads people to prepare for the future by having emergency supplies, emergency food, firearms, ammunition, extra medications, and Gold & Silver. Anyway, I could go on and on like I do, but since I've already made you read for too long, I'll stop here. Great video...great deals...great stuff! Keep stacking buddy!
I knew you'd approve! Fantastic points made as always! I'm for sure enamored with that 1893 Gold half eagle coin! It's beautiful, i'm smitten, the gold bugs bitten me and now I want more old gold! It's the best of all worlds! Historical coin, check, great condition, check, valuable & desirable, check & check... it really hits all the boxes for me, and I'm certain I'd have no trouble moving it. Deep stack for sure, but now I want more!!!!
