I do not care for fake coins or dishonest people what sells fake coins to a person what does it mean even know their coins😮 sure do enjoy your videos keep up the good work😊
Agreed, in fact I'm certain there's numerous people with fakes in their stacks that don't even realize it, many of whom have probably even sold them forward unknowingly... lousy deal.
What bothers me even more with Ebay is when I report obvious fake listings and get their canned message stating they're looking into it but then they come back and say they found no issues or don't respond at all and the listing is still there on the site. I hate seeing people get screwed over.
Oh yeah, they don't remove them, they love people selling fakes cause ebay themselves still profit from the sales... It's a scam job for sure. If they wanted to fix it, they could certainly ban people but they never will...
Not horrible for a fake... at least they tried the security features and the weight was pretty close... although I'm sure some people cluelessly have them in their stack ... good to see you bringing awareness to the community 👍 ... Where you moving to ??
Yeah it's not the worst, and I'm also fairly certain people unknowingly have those in their stack... Staying here in the same location, just hoping to buy land and build if the house sells...
I do intend, at some point, to get a Sigma Metalytics machine, but I'm really going to wait and see if I can get into a new house first. This kind of thing is exactly why I NEVER buy off of things like Ebay. On occasion, mostly for Christmas and convenience, I will occasionally buy from an on-line retailer like APMEX, but 95% of what I buy is local from an LCS, antique stores, or even pawn shops on occasion. In any case, I can always take my purchases to my LCS and get them verified with their super high-dollar machine. I just don't trust the on-line environment. I very much prefer person-to-person purchases from people that I can look in the eye and get a sense of. This is why I don't do auctions and things either. I realize that there are individual people on TH-cam that I can trust, but I generally wouldn't choose to make any significant amount of purchases that way. I will be making an on-line order pretty soon to pick up some Silver for my brother and all of his kids, but I'm not a huge fan of paper trails either. I very much prefer anonymity. This is a good reminder to keep our baloney detectors on and our senses finely honed when it comes to purchasing Silver & Gold, especially in an on-line context. Great video! Keep stacking!
Agree man... I also don't like buying online unless it's from a reputable big box site (apmex, jmbullion & golden state mint) are about the only 3 i buy from. I have a feeling there's numerous people that have bought and even resold fakes to unsuspecting people without ever even knowing they had bought fakes themselves! Which is a terrible situation for sure. Better safe than sorry and a trusted LCS is for sure the way to go. Plus i like cash deals most myself. Take it easy man!
Nice report. I have yet to get a silver Krugerrand. You need a Dremel, another reason to buy another tool. Probably brass, copper is expensive 😂 Follow up video after you get your new tool. If you want a workout, vice and a hacksaw.
Dremel has been on my "to get" list for a while, I really should just pick one up. Krugs are great (when they're real) they're one of my all time favorite coins! Thanks for watching man!
I really think eBay’s days are numbered. I’ve noticed more and more people finding alternatives and at some point a new great platform is bound to come up at some point. eBay in 2024 is definitely the definition of a mixed bag.
Yeah to be honest I'm actually pretty surprised there isn't already a competitor, same thing for Amazon... but truthfully i'm sure there's some money being paid to google and other big companies to surpress those start ups.

Great video and info Pirate. Thanks for sharing brother👍
Thanks for watching man, this was a fun one...
You sure it’s not brass?
Another great video!
No, i'm not sure at all... very well could be an alloy of any kind. But copper does weigh similarly to silver.
Now I need to check out mine.
Yeah it's not a bad idea...

The detail of the beard seems sharper on the real one, too. Fun video!
Yeah, just looking at it they seemed off, sure enough!
Thanks for the info sir.
Yeah man, just having some fun! Great watermelon by the way, we loved it!
Good video pirate, informative..
Thank you man, hope someone can save themselves some grief!
I hate scammers. Some low life has to be making tons of these fake coins
Without a doubt! I was saying, I'm sure there's tons of people with fakes in their stacks and they don't even know it! I hate thieves!
great video showing the differences between the two . glad you cut into them .
Yes, thank you man! It was tough to get into, but you could clearly see the copper in the middle peeking out!
Great video
Thanks man, appreciate you coming to watch!
EBAY is famous for fake coins of all sorts. Good luck everyone and great video Pirate!!
Yeah I won't be buying any coins off there anytime soon...
Great video my friend! Always keeping the community informed 👍🏻🏴☠️
Yeah man, gotta do my part right?! This was fun to put together...
👍👍
Arghhh matey!
Between what happened to me this week and this video I might be scared for life. 😂😢
I don't buy silver on ebay whatsoever anymore, way way too many fakes floating around...
Hopefully not too costly.
@@PocketChangeInspector oh it was VERY costly. I’ll prob be sharing that experience when it’s all said and done. Set me back about 3-4 months.
Bro i hate to hear that... my buddy just got scammed out of a few hundred also, sucks! They're ripping everyone off!
My heart is going to break if I find fugazi in my stack…well done Pirate.
No doubt that would suck for anyone, but i guarantee there's a lotta people out there with fakes & don't know it!
Add the fakes to your copper stack 😊
I wouldn't even trust it's pure copper to be honest... they'll go with the other fakes I've acquired...
COOL
Great to see you bro!
@@PirateStacker YOU TOO
That was fun and very informative, thanks!
Thanks! I really enjoyed putting this one together...
That new sticker is sick bro.
Thanks man, great to see you again, hope all is well!
Arr Mattie. Is CLS. Not CLR. Great Video Pirate... Hope they catch those people responsible for the fakes... An make them walk thee PLANK...
Ahhhh good catch, i saw that on the rewatch too, silly pirate! Thanks for watching!
Good video on how to tell fakes from the real thing.
Yeah this was a fun one, neat to look up and find the security features!
Kinda scary buying coins these days. I have a couple fakes from eBay the silver coins started to get green like copper lol.
Yeah green is typical of copper. Sucks for sure, ebay's good about paying back on fakes if you catch it right away...
Well you do stack Copper now you have more for the stack :)
Yeah, i'm not exactly sure what it is, I like my copper nice and clean!

Nice catch, a lot wrong with this one...

Come on, man! You can't use tin snips on a copper coin. 🤷
😅
Hahaha well we got in just enough to have a peak at a fake coin anyway....
@@PirateStacker I'd melt them down and make something out of the copper. 👍🏻
Now that would be a cool idea....
First!!!
Yessir, always great to see ya!
