Bittersweet, but thank you for the update. ❤
Awesome. Looking forward to the Air Layer removal to progress the tree.
@Xavier - what ever happened to these Cherry Trees? They are probably looking amazing right about now

very interesting.thankyou very much
Since it is Christmas time, I always watch Elf, and of course this video by Tony 👍
It's Christmas bro. Miss you. Hope you're having a good time up there. Looking down at our bonsai
Now what are you going to do with that branch that you stripped on the foliage off of?
You mention using your "usual bonsai mix". Please can you tell me what this is made up of? Thanks
When you fertilize, do you use a fertilizer with micronutrients?
Very good bending of trees
I had my doubts using a C-clamp, but kudos to you for making it work!
❤
Was recommended one of Tony’s videos in my feed watched it went then went to his channel to watch more only to discover his passing 😢. “Society grows great when old men plant trees who’s shade they shall never sit in” RIP Tony
Rip Tony ...your friend Green😪😪😪
❤ Tony always replied to all my comments about his whacky designs and give me a lot of insight. He will be dearly missed, thank you for all the knowledge you shared with us. I am saddened but I will be happy to carry you in memory
Yeah this thing sucks ass
I wonder who inherited this tree and how it's doing now. :) loved watching this. loved your giggle and jokes. RIP Tony!
What a wonderful video. I loved your walk over the hills. When you said ‘It’s great to be alive’ it really hit home. You are missed Tony 🥲
Even though you have left us Tony, you are still helping us all with our bonsai questions. This was exactly what I was looking for! ❤️
Great funny video.
I have a mugo as well and is better to repot this is autumn?
All wire cutters are equal lol. Great reference!
This is an idea I’d been toying with for a while. Watching this has spurred me on to do it. Nice one 👍
I know this is 2 years later but with the pot that wouldn’t release, I’ve seen people poor hot water over the bottom of it and it will release. I hope this helps in the future. I love them all honestly. ✌🏻🤍🤞🏽
thanks Tony. Give us a 3D view sometime :)
RIP bro... God bless you
"It seems like a good branch.....to be removed." Suspense, Tony. Great video, sir. Appreciate it.
still watching!
Tony has inspired us at Dave and Lee Bonsai on how to make your own pots. He still sadly missed. Please watch our TH-cam channel on how we took Tony‘s idea on making your own pots thanks Tony. th-cam.com/video/hcrLHu3AMdE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ojEUpwaW6h8RdWKU
Hi tony, thanks for the video! Can i ask you if you change the mix for different types of trees or do you use this mix on all the different types of trees?
Great video
RIP Tony my friend and mentor...so sad you passed away,we will meet again my friend😪😪😪
Nice seeing you again my friend
Stopped by for some Tony 😊
Bonjour, Verser de l'eau bouillante sur les moules en plastique pour faciliter le démoulage. Bonne continuation.
I started watching Tony just before his end. Bless his heart
Even now, seeing Tony's Bonsais will always make my day. I love seeing how well the fusion/clump-style bonsais are doing. Thank you John for giving us an update 😊 I look forward to any future updates, whenever they may be.
Who is here in 2024?
I was surprised that you didn't cut back the sides of the root ball or used a wider pot. I always want fresh soil all around the root ball when repotting.
I bought this same sized free for around 15. There is a lovely little shop in Lutterworth. Definitely worth a visit
After watching John's message I rewatched all Tony's videos. In my opinion his enthusiastic and happy personality did wonders for the bonsai community and I'm sure some of his trees would have evolved into true masterpieces with their own unique style, if only he'd had more time. It was nice to see some of Tony's trees again in this video, almost like having him back with us for a moment. I would have loved to buy some of the trees and take care of them in the years to come but unfortunately, bringing living trees back with me into EU (Denmark) can be a problem after brexit. Tony's spirit, his fearlessness and his love for weird stuff is with me when I care for my trees. He made an impact. Boom.
Way to go Tony! ignore all the rules and prove anyone can put a tree in a pot for unlimited money requirements, great job 😂
I'm so happy Tony's family cared for him like that until he passed away. ❤
