Definitely Cambodia over Thailand. Cheaper, more adventurous and the great angkor wat is DEFINITELY worth it. I felt like both country were welcoming but cambodia people were a bit nicer.

fantastic content you provide, I'm so glad I found you on here! I have to get my fiancé over from the Philippines and get married before leaving the USA, but Thailand is absolutely our plan! I'm looking at likely a year or so, have no degrees, or experience in online work. I've done only physical jobs all my life. I do have extensive experience in maintenance and apartments, maybe I could find a foreigner looking for a manager/maintenance person to care for his/her property(s).

I’ve lived in Phuket for almost three years. Since the Russians started moving here the place has gone down the toilet. All of the things you say about raised real estate properties and traffic is absolutely true. What you are not mentioning is that the Russian culture is inherently tribal. They are not interested in melting in with society here. They are also obnoxious and arrogant. These “businesses” you mention that they are starting are for the most part illegal as well. It’s too bad. They have ruined a beautiful place. I will be moving out in May.
