They both did sound great for sure! But, I do prefer the Magnaflow over the Black widow personally! Haha yup it was ready for the track that day. I've since done a lot of work to it and now it's half street half track. I pulled the nitrous out and put a turbocharger in, and and building a 6.4 BGE to swap in to it 😁

I bought the rims like that so whoever did it prior to, definitely did it wrong!

Thanks! It's quite a difference switching from 18" to 14" eh? I loved the sound of the Race Venom, but with my set up, I had a slight bit of rasp in certain RPMs, which was just enough to bug me haha. Sweet man! So you are running true duals then? I wanted to do that, but ended up going single turbo, so can't make true duals work haha!

Glad I could help! The muffler I got from eBay actually. It was a kit sold with 2.5" dual pipes with it. I will be changing it once again because I am going turbo shortly and will run out of pipe vs power haha. So it will be 3" dual. I have a Moe's HPT cam at the moment. Jay's stage 2 cam is awesome. Good choice! I was actually wanting to get that one while choosing, but ended up with Moe's.

@@03Ram06CBR1000RR That Moe's HPT is an awesome cam too, can't go wrong either way! I just got my tune from Jay and wow what an improvement, just need to hear that cammed Hemi now lol. Turbo would be fun on these trucks, I have a turbo DSM and love it. I may go with the Edlebrock supercharger eventually, for ease of install and that it's a daily street truck that hauls 1k lbs often.

Yea it's pretty decent. I like it! But I will be going with a turbo spec cam down the road. I'm tuned by Jay as well. What a difference a good tuner can make eh? Is there a reason you'd want to go with edelbrock for your supercharger out of curiosity? From everything I've read, they have the least amount of testing and/or results for the Hemi. I hear Whipple and procharger are the best ones for the Hemi. And in Canada, Magnusson is a big one. My buddy wants to go with a Magnusson for cost purposes I think. But if it's just for everyday driver and what not, edelbrock may be fine! As long as you're happy with it!

@@03Ram06CBR1000RR Well tbh I haven't done much research yet on s/c options. The Procharger is popular for big power no doubt, but I don't want the whine they have at idle for a daily truck, nor am I going for big power. I need to do more research between the Edlebrock, Magnuson and other whipple companies I don't even know of, but that's a ways down the road.

Honestly man I haven't done much research on them either. But I see/hear things on forums and groups I'm in. Yea the 2 power ones are definitely Whipple and procharger. Magnuson is good for Canada because it's most cost effective that delivers similar power. Edelbrock hasn't been tested much in the community I'm in, but could very well be fine. I think people just look at the claimed power ratings though, and since Edelbrock is lower than most, people just don't want it. But yea as an everyday driver I don't see why it wouldn't be good! Torqustorm just released a new supercharger for the modern hemis as well. But it's not a full kit like most others

As it shows in the video as well as the description, it is a Black Widow Race Venom. The model being the Race Venom. I will have to disagree with the Black Widow being the better of the 2. Maybe it sounds different in person than on a video, but the Magnaflow definitely gives the deeper drag car sound. The black widow has more of a slight rasp to it, whereas the Magnaflow has a deeper tone and doesn't have any rasp.

Depends. Magnaflow has a nicer sound to it, but there is a bit of cab drone. But, it is also a straight through design, which works better for me when racing. Black Widow is a decent sound, but to me, it sounds like there is just a little bit of rasp, which I personally don't like. But there is no drone. It also has an hour glass shape to it, so it is slightly restricting for racing. The truck is getting a turbo soon, so I am hoping that eliminates the cab drone. If it Doesn't, I will add a resonator to fix it.

I'm told the performance is increased a little bit with the magnaflow as it is a straight through design instead of an hour glass design like the black widow. Plus with the pipes upgraded from 2-1/4 to 2-1/2, it makes it less restrictive. Of course all this also ties in to the other mods and support it. Not sure how this set up would be on a stock truck!

Yes and no lol. It is a magnaflow muffler, with 2.5" mandrel bent piping from muffler back, but made by a different company!

What do you mean made by someone else? Like a different brand but the same muffler? I’ve been looking at one I think called wicked flow. Or maybe you have a link to the one you bought

I do agree, the Magnaflow does have the cleaner/better sound. As for drone - personally I don't hear much of it. Maybe I am just used to it, but if it's there, it's mild!

@@03Ram06CBR1000RR No worries. I don't think most on social media know what drone is. Magnaflow engineer said it best. All cars have drone. Its the mufflers job to remove it. Based on design, MF has a hard time since two positives don't become a negative (straight through design). Anyways, nice sound none the less.

J Jack yea. Used diesel with a paint brush. Worked like a charm on rims. Not sure if I would use it on car paint though

You know most rims now have a clear coating. Gasoline isn't friendly to clear coat.

J Jack yea. Not friendly but I figured if car paint can take so much tripping fuel around the paint area of filler then two minutes shouldnt do too much harm

Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner worked for my rims. Did the same steps.

Kero worked for me.

Pete Pederson the pin should come out the same side as the bolt. but the bolt goes all the way thru the pin and a guarter inch in the carrier. so that side has to come out

what if that center bolt don't just fall out

Pete Pederson you mean that center pin? it will slide out...if it's a little tough to get out you can just tap it out with a screw driver.....then rotate the carrier so the pin comes out the other side.
