16lb 2oz Solent Smooth Hound
Well what a day, left the river Itchen at 0530 with Woody Chawner so we could fish the ebb tide and headed to my Smooth Hound mark.
Within 10 minutes Woody had lost his first Hound and just boated another one . It was then full on most of the time two or three rods having fish running on them. Cutting a long story short we ended up with 23 smooth hounds , a lot of them well over 10lb mark , one small Bream but the fish of the day went to Woody with a stonking Smooth Hound of 127cm weighing in at 16lb2oz
All fish taken on 4/0 Cox and Rawle Bloody Specimen hooks on 60cm running Ledger baited with hard back crab.

Popped out at 0600 this morning and headed to Hillhead . After chasing a few birds about only to find school Bass I anchored up at 0730 .
