well alot of vegetarians and vegans make mushroom burgers and they have a similar texture to a chew and bite constancy of a meat substance... in fact there is vegan recipes of "MEAT" dishes like pastas and such that replace the beef for said fungus's (or chicken or PREFERABLY another meat of ones choice.) and when prepared right and how the recipes says to cook them (mushrooms.) they DO REALY HAVE A MEAT TASTE TO EM! in fact my aunt (she makes some most awesome foods you ever did taste!) says she's gonna make a vegetarian pasta so when I ate it im like what there is meat in hear she's like ha ya...your eating mushrooms. but I was surprised it tasted like the real thing! (imo...) soo well ya if bowser wants to go on a diet.... he PROBALLY eats ALOT OF GOOMBAS! XP soo ya poor goombas got it rough! xp and ya thats there ''MEAT'' protein in this world as well as there plaint source as well? idk but I want mushroom meat now can't get or make it sadly xp xc

I appreciate that despite the small roster size you made sure to include a few newcomers in there. I don't truly think that Smash should be cut down that far, or even that it is realistic that they would do such a thing (big cuts yes, smaller than Melee no way), but I've seen too many "reboot rosters" out there that don't have ANY newcomers at all, so having Tom Nook, Octoling, Ring Fit, Bandee, a new Trainer and a new Mii helps this feel fresh. On the other hand, I don't fully agree with all of your logic with these picks. While I like Tom Nook and he is one of my most wanteds, I don't see him coming at the expense of Isabelle. I could maaaybe see Villager being cut in favor of just having named NPCs from AC, but Isabelle is such a massively popular female character that I would consider her as locked-in for Smash as someone like Zelda or Wario, even though she is such a recent addition. I also think the Pokemon Trainer gimmick is unrealistic to achieve with a *different* set of mons than the iconic original starter trio, and I've seen the idea of an alternate trainer proposed a lot of times over the generations and it never becomes more plausible to me, especially replacing Pokemon as important and iconic as Charizard and... mostly just Charizard tbh. Either way, I really appreciate your conciseness here. Ironic coming from a three paragraph youtube comment I know, but managing to do a roster explanation video in less than 6 minutes is pretty impressive to me idk

Honestly the only valid arguments I can see for Byleth not being in is Marth being in Engage and using him instead, or using Alear. However, I still think Byleth is still pretty fitting given the info about their game

A pretty great roster with the restrictions you had! I think King Dedede could replace Bandana Dee since he's an antagonist and has a more distinct personality, but beyond that, I don't have any complaints about what's here, just that the roster size is a bit TOO small, even for a reboot.

I hope it has 40 characters. 30 main & 10 DLC. All 12 OGs
