I disagree because how would the Hero of Twilight be a direct descendant of the Hero of Time if The Hero of Time never went back to Hyrule?

Hmm. That is a problem. Maybe instead of turning into a Stalfos when returning to hyrule, he returned to hyrule as a child and later got lost in the woods after having kids.
Another thing worth noting is that the hero of twilight grew up in the ordon region which isn’t part of hyrule, so it’s possible he had kids before trying to return to hyrule.

I don’t think Link became a stalfos. He probably died in a battle due to the armor he’s wearing. After Majora’s Mask,it’s possible he grew up again and settled down with Malon and had kids with her (Hero of Twilight Link is a rancher and is a direct blood descendant of the Hero of Time) most likely he died in the battlefield. Lost eye and destroyed armor.
