When Tesla first came out it was classified as "luxury purchase" For insurance companies. The Label still stick today. Repairs to a Damaged EV far exceed an ICE car and in most cases the repair cost total the vehicle.
I had same price phobia after calling three insurance companies earlier in the year when I got my Mach e. I researched and found a video on TH-cam that led me in the right direction. I finally got the best deal ever under $90/monthly for my premium edition. The safety features was the reason the insurance gave a cheaper price. Full coverage policy for driver and passengers. Every box checked. It is my cheapest insured compared with my other cars. Do more research and you will find out what I am saying. I love your videos. Thanks.
I’m 24 here and live in Denver Colorado which is pretty expensive to live in general. I did have a hit and run on my record due to someone falsely accusing me but luckily I had accident forgiveness so didn’t count against my driving record but I just bought my 2022 Mach- E Premium Extended Range AWD and my insurance only went up $16 from my 2022 Trailblazer RS to the Mach-E. I was extremely surprised to only be paying $116 a month for full coverage w/ Geico. Can’t complain at all. Definitely looking forward to age 25 😂. I also believe the reason insurance is more expensive on a Tesla is because they are a new Car Manufacturer compared to others, their built quality isn’t great and it’s the price of the vehicle/ being an EV. Thank you for the video!! Love watching them to learn about my Mach-E
where you live ? you are lucky because I have never in my life pay less than 250 for insurance and I have a clean record, no claims and good credit. I lived in Miami and now Atlanta just for reference.
I too was looking at a Tesla, lots of reasons why I didn't buy it. I love my Mach-e, $78 a month for full coverage. I think one of the reasons the Tesla's are higher is because they have been out longer and the insurance companies know how much they cost to repair.
oh btw I just bought a Model 3 and my insurance is 416 a month. And I need to upgrade my Lexus RX next year and I was looking at the Mustang that's why I come across this video.
Great information video. You are wrong on one thing that mustang Mach E requires less maintenance compare to gasoline vehicles because mustang Mach E has brakes, electric motors, battery pack, tires, and those things could wear out over time. I disagree with you about no maintenance on electric vehicles.
That’s wild. I got a quote from my insurance for a ‘22 Mach-E and it was $100/yr LESS than my current 2012 Hyundai Sonata! All told, about $65/m.

Us too! We're paying $89/month with $500 deductibles. I was really impressed.

100 a month in CA with a recent crash on record

It’s because of the lack of place’s that you can get the repairs done on the Tesla .

Who’s your f150 insured with?

Thanks for watching! There are a lot less moving parts on an electric vehicle, and no engine oil, transmission oil, alternators, belts, etc.
ill buy that truck for 40k...nan i got the 22 Mach E grabber blue premium and this recall is making me want to sell it
I love the grabber blue! If you do sell it on the plus side you will probably make money off it after the tax credit
the insurance for my mach e is cheaper than my 2019 accord sport.
That’s awesome!
And can you let me know who you insure with?
I use StateFarm but I would just shop around take a quick phone call
I’m in Fort Lauderdale and I pay $320 a month can someone send me a good insurance
Omg that sucks. I’m in south FL too
