I bought one of these (with extra blades) a few years ago, to toss in my hunting backpack. This year I was forced to use it. Wow! I field dressed, skinned, and deboned my entire elk with this knife and one blade. Guess what will be in my hunting backpack next year? A couple of these and several extra blades!

I bought one of these last spring. Used on an Antelope this past October. My opinion is this. Maybe for small game, but not large game. The quality of the steel and sharpness is not enough for one blade only, let alone the three I wound up using to both skin and quarter the animal. I also used 2 more in processing the meat to package up for the freezer. The idea is nifty, but one can put his money towards better knives, fixed blades, and some folders that will hold their edges longer. Outdoor Edge sells these replacement blades in packages of 24 and 36, I believe. Same with Gellite shaving cartridges. 4-6 blades, cheaper metal, and they don't last as long for quality shaving like they used to! They're high as a cats back also. Bought a cheaper set on Ebay, 12 cartridges, for less than half price. They last just as long as the Gellites. Old saying is still relevant. That one gets what he pays for still applies. Especially since most stuff is being manufactured in China under a US company name! Of course, this is my opinion, though.
