Star Trek: Deleted Scene - Space Seed - Khan Steals A Surgical Knife To Kill And Conceals It Bedside
Star Trek: Deleted Scene - Space Seed - Khan Steals A Surgical Knife To Kill And Conceals It Bedside. In this deleted scene from Star Trek (The Original Series - TOS), from the episode, "Space Seed," Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalban, yes, the same Khan that is in "Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan") steals a surgical knife from Dr. McCoy's Medical Instrument Display in Sick Bay. Khan is careful that no one is watching, and he rushes back to his Sick Bay bed, and quickly conceals the knife under his blanket, and is careful to look like he is still recovering, as he awaits either Nurse Chapel, or Dr. McCoy, as his first victim. (All of these Star Trek scenes are from The Roddenberry Vault Blu-Ray Set (2016 - Produced by Desilu Studios, Paramount, & CBS) that Michael and Denise Okuda spent thousands of hours, watching, researching, and editing.) Enjoy.
Channel Editor's Note: This scene, on The Roddenberry Vault Set did not have any music, or background Sick Bay sound effects. So, being the incredibly nice person that I am, I added them to the scene, which, I'm sure that even Michael Okuda, who watches and comments on this channel, will agree that it makes the scene much more exciting and relevant. (I can always send over my resume, for Paramount, and I don't charge much). Enjoy everyone!
This is part of a series, here on Mego Star Trek Channel, showcasing 'Deleted Scenes', 'Outtakes', and more from The Original Star Trek Television Series.

Intro music from S2. This episode is S1 Trek geeks are watching...
At least Khan tried to deftly cover his feet with the blanket
I’m glad it was deleted! A good scene, but did not add to the story as a whole.
The last part of this clip should have made it into the final cut.
Belli was one of the first celebrity TV attorneys. I just always figured he had the goods on Roddenberry for something and he got cast to keep him quiet.
Bro , my comment was deleted for some reason when you uploaded that video
Khaaaaaaan
Joy, peace and a GREAT head of hair to you.
So did McCook or Mason win the boxing match?
Good One! Thanks for the laugh, Alphonse. 👍🖖
This is probably an FAQ, but is this scene the reason why Peck's recurring character on "Happy Days" was named Officer Kirk? This guy wasn't the buffoon he was, just over his head.
William Windom was one reason "The Doomsday Machine" was nominated for a Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentation of 1967. Joan Collins' episode won. Need I go over the rest?
Apparently they had to cut a lot of the love story for the episode go fit into the alloted time for a 1 hour show
So cool, I never realized Landru was an acronym. A good one, too.
He really isn't, Dave. It was just a joke. Thank you for your great comment! 👍 🖖
WOW. Ellison brings us the total, heartbreaking irony of life vs. time travel and the consequences. This episode is at the heart of the Star Trek mythos. Still a sad episode to this day. Note for her to say "Don't Pull Away"...becomes the ultimate ironic moment of loss when he's held back for her to be hit by the truck. (BTW, big hello to Mike Okuda!!)
Like opening a time capsule you didn't know you had
As good as City is, the love story is rushed. We don't even meet Edith until 20 minutes in! It would have been great to have a few more gratuitous scenes of them just hanging out.
It would be fun to watch these episodes with the deleted scenes spliced back in. In some cases it would be context-altering.
Spock: I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Kirk: of course not Spock. Another great insight to their relationship.
Kirk's reply: "What does 'eefdrops' mean? .... And why the heck did you spy on us?" 😀 😀 😀
If they didn’t use this take, it’s because it was too intense.
I was about to believe that you are time traveler for having all this deleted scenes ,but i realized that I got that 2016 blue ray set too! This is very special if you have a collection of star trek tos!
Haha! No, my good friend! In only that were true. All of these Star Trek scenes are from The Roddenberry Vault Blu-Ray Set (2016 - Produced by Desilu Studios, Paramount, & CBS) that Michael and Denise Okuda spent thousands of hours, watching, researching, and editing. Enjoy, and thank you for your highly excellent comments. I subscribed to your channel a few months ago. 👍🖖⏲🏆

@@OBVIOUS1966BUILDER Thank you so very much! Yes, could I get some blue screen and green screen from you for my action figure series on this channel: Mego Star Trek: The Lost Missions? That would be so great! Let me know. 👍
Now, that is a great scene that ties up the story regarding Kirk's nephew, which is basically left hanging in the finished episode. Too bad it had to be cut.
Why did they edit that out????
I fell in love with Joan Collins too 😊
Gone Too Soon Miss Nichelle Nichols aka Lt. Nyota Uhura performed her best singing vocals in a newly remastered deleted scene and was arranged and composed by the late Mr. Wilbur Hatch in The Conscience of The King episode from Season One of TOS.
You will be absorbed into the body.
Which way to Floyd's Barbershop?
The casual racism of the 60s. Good call to leave it out.
"For the good of the body, you must die. It is... a great sorrow... I'm empty and aching and I don't know why... like a bridge over troubled water, Mrs. Robinson."
Excellent acting for both. Great scene. Such a shame it was deleted.
Really showcases William Shatner's great talent.
TOS predicted the age of the girlboss...

@megostartrek Ya couldn't wait, could you?😉 Looks like you're going to have to copy and paste this on ALL of your little gems. 😉
And on that day, Mirror Universe Sulu was born.
Festival! Festival!
Wasn't this episode a precursor to the Purge?
What a pity that this was forsaken in favour of a toothpaste commercial.
So this is how the attorney Belli really sounds-neat!
Joy and Peace be with you , we are all one in Landru
Where do these things come from. I think you've got a secret stash of clips
All of these Star Trek scenes are from The Roddenberry Vault Blu-Ray Set (2016 - Produced by Desilu Studios, Paramount, & CBS). 👍🖖
TOS could have continuity gaffes, such as the ancestor Spock once told of later being his daddy. So when Uhura had played this instrument in the early episode "Charlie X", was the harp canonically decided as being Vulcan by then? Would audiences have remembered that by 1969 when Elaan aired? I think it's a great little scene, adding to Uhura and Spock.
"I am the Guardian of Hitting Your Mark. Many such set-ups are possible. Let me be your stage director."
"I am the arbiter of Internet humor. Many such jokes are possible. Let me award you The Internet for today."
As a lifelong Trekker, these films reels are better than pure gold in my opinion!
Love it!
I like his cadence, the electronic modification used for the produced and aired version is too artificially low. Indeed, a retake where adding a little more subtle persuasion/menace would have nailed it. He comes close... But the produced version with the shimmering half-traslucent effect definitely hides the shower curtain robe.
I wish that stayed in, as it makes the ending of the story nire powerful. Makes him even more rounded as a character, as well as making Star Trek II even more poignant as well.
What? You mean they didn't really go back in time?? ;-)
She had such a lovely voice! It's wonderful to hear her sing the entire song.
FANTASTIC CHANNEL!! Do you have any of the cut scenes from Spock's Brain?? Seriously, Id love to see those if you do. I know stuff was left on the cutting room floor from that one.
All of that episode should be on that same floor.
@@weingThis one is far worse!
