Looks can be deceiving.

I opted for that because it was loaded with Bacon and Peppers. My wife and I tend to get a few available menu items for the sake of trying them. It was worth it.

@davidpinkston4242 when you come to town and eat "ROJOS" the place that has the closest to the original flavor is Lily's Pizza right next to ASU. That restaurant used to be called Tortilla Factory in the late 80s and early 90s. Lots of places here in town have their own version but based on 2 full years behind the fryers at Shakey's Lily's is truly the most like the original. Hope you get to try them.

I saw that a few weeks ago. Thankful he's still doing popups in Rockdale and the surrounding area.

I just wanted to see if it cooked well or not. A one time splurge. A couple of days ago I used some Kingsford for the first time in a few years but only because it didn't cost me a dime. I typically use B and B from Ace (not Walmart) and it is usually pretty good. Of course since I'm here in Texas I also use HEB store brands which have worked well. Have a great day friend!

Depends on what's in the taco I guess, and how big it is. I had some beef tenderloin tacos made with Prime Beef, and they were definitely worth every penny. I believe there are a couple of things at play here: 1) Prime brisket is very expensive and has been for a bit. 2) it is an Austin establishment on the Northside, no less. 3) This isn't tripas or ground beef or a cheap street food type of meat. Prime meat begs a prime price. 4) to each his own. Some people are fine with paying it because they have the money and it is worth it for them not sitting by a smoker for 12 to 18 hours for 1 or 2 slices of beef and then making fresh tortillas, Salsas, and other condiments included. This is more elevated food that takes many hours to cook. It isn't cooked in 30 minutes to an hour. Thus, the pricing reflects that. Obviously, although I don't agree with you, I respect that you feel it is "a ripoff." Just don't begrudge a business' hard work and effort to get what they can out of it. I didn't personally have the brisket Taco there but based on the other food I had, I'm sure it would have been delicious. The market will decide in the long run if it was overpriced and correct itself. Best of luck finding tacos that fit your budget, friend.

Definitely! My other issue here is that we have very hard water. I dry glass Pyrex and other stuff and it spots horribly.

Lots of things have been going on with me and TH-cam because of the economy. Lack of funds for travel and food are putting a damper on my concept. Then trying to cook at home and make interesting food stuff without the amount of money I need is a bit tougher. I'm evaluating and hopefully can make a plan for better videos and more ideas that will work with my budget. Lots of thinking to do. Also working on my coffee skills quite a bit.
