A New PBT Keycap Manufacturer | Milkway Keys PBT 02 Review
มุมมอง 13K2 ปีที่แล้ว
PBT 02 is an upcoming group-buy by Milkway Keys, a set that is heavily inspired by the Darling in the Franxx series like GMK Darling. Milkyway Keys is a new keycap manufacturer to the international market for cherry profile PBT keycaps-they have already ran several group buys for the Chinese market. The keys are made out of PBT, and the legends are made with dye-sub/reverse dye-sub. In this vid...
I Built a $150 Custom Mechanical Keyboard with Amazon
มุมมอง 21K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We all know how long GMK wait times are, and some keyboard group buys can take many months. However, more and more keyboard parts are finding their way to Amazon, and it got me thinking: can you build a fully custom keyboard using just Amazon? Turns out, yes you can! But I don't necessarily recommend that you do. If you're on a tight budget I think it's fine, but you can get the same/similar pa...

Paramount Keeb is a new LA-based custom keyboard vendor. The Baka60 is their first mechanical keyboard in the scene, designed to compete against KBDFans' Tofu. You can buy it as a kit for $170 and it'll come with everything you need (besides switches and keycaps). You can also buy each part separately from their website. It uses standard 60% parts, so you can swap out the PCB & plate with 60% p...

Are your fingers getting tired from all of these super tactile switches? Are you missing that Ergo Clear feeling? Then check these out. The Cerulean, manufactured by Durock, is a new medium-tactile switch (similar to Kinetic Lab Penguins & Zealios v1). It features a transparent, blue-tinted, full nylon housing, POM stem, and 65g gold-plated spring. It's also a 5-pin switch, and is factory lubed...
The One Switch Zykos Alternative | Neapolitan Switch Review
มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Zykos are a pretty hyped frankenstein tactile switch, but with their high price tag, they're not accessible for many in the hobby. To combat this, CannonKeys has released their Neapolitan Ice Cream switch, which have a tactile profile similar to Zykos. These switches are made by Tecsee and feature a pink polycarbonate top, brown POM stem, two-staged 63.5g spring, and milky white, 5-pin bottoms ...

There's a new budget Holy Panda switch in town, and they deserve more love. The TECSEE Purple Pandas are a 5-pin, 68g switch that feel very close to Holy Pandas for more than half the cost. There's also the Blue Velvet PME Tactile & Coffee Chip Ice Cream switches, which I have...

Majority of people in this hobby are really just shopping enthusiasts, for the hobby to have more depth it requires conversation and activity around PCB modifications, swapping out SMD LEDs, adding pass-thru USB connections, flashing/building firmware. Otherwise it's nothing more than Aliexpress addiction.

I've been stuck on Durock 3 stage 21mm 56g springs for a while now. Being triple stage, they feel even heavier than a typical 63.5g long spring found in a lot of stock switches and more akin to a 67 single stage long spring.. The big reason I like them, though, is the ultra snappy return. Makes for faster typing when double pressing keys, such as the word "school" for example. Great video. Enjoyable, informative watch!

TKC just had a warehouse cleaning and found one of these BNIB, so I was able to buy it!! I had seen a picture of this board on KBDFans for a keycap set and tried to track it down without success, so I feel lucky to have snagged what seems to be the last one! It arrives today too!! I think I am going to go with Kiwi switches in this. Going to see if I can get some foams from Stupidfish. Great video!

Aside from keyboards.... I had this same microphone a few years ago. Got rid of it because the buzzy quality it had going on with it (not a pun about the name). Just seems to always sound a little distorted as though it's constantly peaking. I instead got an Aston origin microphone which is just incredible and comparable with £3000+ microphones I've used in studios. All this to say... Maybe consider switching it if you can? Because I can definitely hear those same defects in yours 😅 Oh and great video btw! Really love the content, just thought I'd share that insight

very informative great video for sure. I started with 63g spring as my first keyboard build, the first thing i notice is typing is very nice, bouncy and the key "hugs" my tip very well. but as soon as i went for gaming, I just don't have the sustainability for it. It could be my fingers are used to whatever the spring the previous keyboard was using, or just personal preference.

These are my in my tactile top switch list, maybe just after the Ajazz Kiwis. Although my favourite switches are the Akko Lavender or the Ajazz Banana (these two are a tad lighter).
