My stock 2014 jetta will get over 1000km per tank on long trips. The torque is amazing. It is no GLI in acceleration, but the torque will still get er scooting good at even a low rpm.

Just had this done yesterday. New oil cooler and manifold. Don’t just buy the gaskets as the cooler warps. A huge gasket set. Parts were £600 labour £300 plus VAT.

Stage 3 is something special with these engines, huge difference from Stage 2+. What about turbo charging R32 or VR6 TT, would be incredible build and good for content. Also somewhat similar car and good for tunning, BMW Z4 E89 35is (with dual clutch), comes even in very similar color. Also, what about Audi B9 S5, big tunning potential.

How did you bleed the cooling system after? Bleeding valve is on top of the egr cooler… I’m really curious as I want to do same job soon.

I know this vid is old but hey i just purchased a mk2 audi tts it came with a unitronic stage 1plus tune with a high flow catless downpipe unfortunately my turbo needs to be replaced and im 100 sure im not going to pass emissions with that downpipe here in ny so im going to gamble and get a cts catted downpipe but cts tells me i have to get a stage 2 tune that it is imperative that i get a stage 2 my question is can i just stay stage 1 plus atleast until i can financially afford stage 2 ?

Would a Q5 CPNB engine be a similar disassemble to this Q7 motor?

It’s likely not standard torx, it’s likely torx+ . Looks the same but the drivers and bits have a lot more meat and the lobes come to a square rather than an edge

Did you replace the bolts for the main caps?

Use a T-30 T handle torx to get the back passenger intake bolt out and the second driver one next to Egr cooler.

The cooling system on these cars is crazy. There are valves to keep the coolant in the cylinders and the heads individually and the cabin fan is controlled by the temperature of the coolant in three different places. There is a different coolant flow pattern for cold weather and warm weather. Bizarre.
