Really informative stuff i like the way you actually analyse the differences between stock and aftermarket parts to see if its worth the expence or not as parts aren't cheap just subbed
Good video. I am now curieus what an upgraded oem dv (06F145710G)does. Vs the new dv+ from gfb. Seen a lot on stage 1 or higher put back oem dv but upgraded ones with Latest revision.
There isn’t really any lag other than typical turbocharger low range loss, that’s just the way turbos are, unless you have an absolutely tiny turbo (the TTS is a K04), then it’s not gonna spool till about 2400rpm regardless, a DV only helps with boost retention/ bleeding
Mainly because the replacement piston style one doesn’t work on certain versions (some have the cage around the piston, thus you’d need to buy a different base DV anyways and the cost isn’t with it) - and newer technology/ wanted to be one of the first people to test it out haha
@ThatGuyTy I don't doubt you one bit but I'm just looking into these before I buy one for my TTS. I only ask as the one you fitted states its for a 2.0tfsi EA888 engine not the EA113 THATS IN THE S
I’m a new owner of a 2015 8J TTS. Just found your channel looking for MK2 8J TTS vids……. Just Sub’d 😊 Q? How is the GFB DV+ holding up any noticeable difference since you installed vs OEM? I just went stage 1 with 034Motorsports tune. Trying to make my car more reliable. Should I replace my stock DV with the GDB DV+? I’m also thinking of getting a catch can from 034 Motorsports. I’m looking for reliability mods… Any recommendation / suggestions would be greatly appreciated . Looking forward to your reply and thanks in advance.
It’s definitely been better over stock as far as longevity and holding boost, haven’t had any issues since install I almost forget it’s there sometimes. Catch cans these cars are almost useless unless you have one that actually has had some good RND time put into it
@@ThatGuyTyy Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of getting the 034 Motorsports catch can. They seem to put some RND into their products and tunes…. Did you consider other brands for the Diverter Valve? Do you have a tune ECU & TCU?
@PeteRock1 there are no other brands that make a full replacement DV, and GFB has been around for a LONG time. I have a unitronic stage 2+ and tcu tube
Notice how I said full replacement DV - blow off is not good for VW engines and is a great way to make your car run like crap in exchange for some jdm noises 👍🏻
Now do the same experiment on a stock tune, you'll be surprised how well it controls boost. Thays the con of those stage tunes, thats basically a base map. I'm running 9 secs 100-200 with an is38 and stock downpipe and it has no problems controlling Boost

Always tryin to help the community however I can, thanks for the sub dude and welcome to the fam 🤝🏻
Excellent info
Great video, thanks. Thinking of getting one for my mk8 GTI!

I’ve had two revision Gs rip on the orange seal in the last year. D would be the better OEM option
So after research the vta doesnt change the power at all just the sound
I would like to know wit installing GFB's T9381, has the unwanted LAG (low rpm) reduced considerably?

Fire video man 💪🏻
Thanks brother 🤝🏻
Hello, does it change the Turbo sound compares to the original DV or is it the same ?
Any error codes ?
Whats the benefits of this over the new OEM nee J version diverter valve? Will get one for my Golf r stage 2 if I'm guaranteed a benifit 😎
I just placed my order for my MK8 GTI, T9380 part #. I’m currently running 034 Motorsports stage 1 and I just bought this one for peace of mind.
Diverted valves are better for the engine then blow off valves as the stock car comes with a dv not a bov
Exactly! I wish more people would just accept the fact that an upgraded DV might not sound cool but It does help!
@@ThatGuyTyy in my opinion the low rpm pshh and then the higher rpm stututu is the best if both worlds
Hi, would a VTA be better over the DV+?
@bsayers45 if you want turbo lag in exchange for stupid JDM noises sure 👍🏻
@@bsayers45 either are a good option mate but most people go with dv+
Hi liked
Ur post I'm in limp mode would faulty DV be the cause?? But also oil light flashing will this be the cause blicked pick-up pipe
Make sure u get a carbon clean and not a eBay fake gfb dv
But can you feel the difference?
excuse my ignorance but what software is this?
The one om his pc?
hello the solenoid needs an adaptation time?
Nope it shouldn’t
What made you go for this rather than the T9351?

Yeah it fits mine no problem, no codes and with the data I have collected seems to be operating ok
@ThatGuyTy cheers, great video's BTW, watched ever one for the TTS so far
@@33gallthese fit the ea113 tfsi engine
is this compatible to golf 6 gti
Yes
mine was leaking im about to switch to turbosmart
Say goodbye to performance if you get a blow off valve 🫣
man if only it was a stick shift. Good video!
TTS never came stick in North America unfortunately

Huh 😂🤨
@@ThatGuyTyy no need to upgrade the diverter valve, it works perfectly even on +500hp cars😅
Is38 would imply you are running this on a mk7/.5 so I’d hope they figured out their DV’s in 15 years of running them 😂 mk6> is a different story
@@ThatGuyTyy it's the same part, literally the same partnumber 😅
@Bv1nte you’re telling me VW uses the same stock revision Diverter valve on a 2017 as they do on a 2013 🤨
