That sure brings back bad memories. lol I I ended up changing all the seals and everything else under the intake along with a DPF cat less down pipe. And had to clean all the intake bc of all the carbon buildup from the egr. Eyes ruin motors
You said the oil cooler was leaking again, what was it this time, as you already changed the oil cooler orings previously. Just making sure im buying everything to do the job only once.
@@Stoney1985 it was just that I hadn’t cleaned the mating surface thoroughly enough, it’s so crucial and under proper oil pressure/ coolant pressure even a small lapse can cause a big leak
Handy Audi entuziast here, I just said goodbye to my beloved A6 C6 3.2 FSI, after so many miles that served me so well (took it for a road trip to San Diego) and of course after lots of DYO hours with it... But recently just rejoined to the TDI club, I use to be a big fan of diesel prior moving to N. America 20 years ago... So, I traded my 3.2 FSI (best naturally aspirated engine ever) for a A8L D4 TDI, an extremely low mileage (30 000) it's a rare occurrence for north American, only 2 for sale in Canada, only 8 in USA... Anyway, glad that I found your channel, new subscriber here, I'll try to post videos as well. Greetings from Langley BC.
Are there any seals/gaskets necessary to replace while doing this job? My EGR pipe going to the intake was full right to the brim of coolant. My egr cooler is leaking.
Hi there , from where can we get the software in order to upload it and wich program did you used , thanks . I have a touareg 7P 2015 that I am looking in doing the same thing as I had enough of the egr issues
Curious what you did with the vacuum lines and the electrical plug from the EGR Cooler? Did you cap or block off the Vacuum line by the temp sensor? how/where did you mount the other piece at the front left side of intake that was on the EGR cooler?
I plugged the vacuum lines and wrapped the connectors up, I left the vacuum valve connected to the other lines as well just plugged the out to the EGR cooler
Just did this to my friends cayenne, on the test drive it threw a check light for overboost but no limp mode what should I check first? Been running the Malone stage 1 (tunezilla) for a week without issues and finally got around to removing the cooler
EGR cooler delete shouldn’t be throwing overboost unless it had a significant boost/ exhaust leak prior to doing it. Overboost on a TDI typically will point to the veins or wastegate being out of adjustment causing turbo overspeed. Are you rolling coal?
@@ThatGuyTyy That would be awesome thank you. Mine needs done but I am a bit intimidated by the spaghetti bowl of stuff these new vehicles have going on under the hoods
That is a legit question, uhhh let me look when I get home, it was part of a set so I just kinda tried a bunch till I got one that worked haha, I put it around the head of the bolt itself, didn’t break the head off, just the torx thread was stripped

👌
I believe it's fit for my 2012 Q7 S-line CRCA engine. Darkside website says in compatible list: Audi Q7 - CJGC (204) CJMA (204) CJGA (239) CNRB (239) CLZB (245) CRCA (245)

@ThatGuyTyy gotcha, you did emphasise that in the first video, guess this is the reason why. Cheers
What were the results after the full delete? Noticeably better power or mpg? Or was it more of you could tell your vehicle ran better?
Will I be able to drive my q7 to the shop to get tuned after I install the delete myself in my garage at home?
Love your content man!

Welcome back to the Darkside!!! Congrats on the purchase from Vancouver BC

My EGR pipe going to the intake was full right to the brim of coolant. My egr cooler is leaking.
I would say just the intake manifold gaskets, as the kit comes with the EGR gaskets!
Did this and now I hear a loud knocking in engine ? What could this be !! Please help
Probably dropped something in the ports when the manifold was off
Great video mate! About £225 for the harware kit but how much does the tune cost to map it out? Thanks
Depends on the tuner, but typically people delete the EGR along side other things/ for performance

you dont happen to be able to get the part number off that EGR cooler do you? im dieing trying to find the number because my info sticker was removed
Shoot me a dm on IG and I’ll try to find mine when I get back to the shop!

Anything out there for the CATA?
12:51 Are those installation instructions provided by Darkside? Excellent video
They have instructions yes, I also using ELSA/ VW service documents
A tune is a required step?? Thanks!
EGR delete tune, yes.
is that cnrb engine for sure? what is that aluminum cylinder near power steering fluid reservoir ?
Fuel filter
@@ThatGuyTyyit’s the auxiliary low pressure fuel pump, not a filter!
Great videos man! Do you have a video of removing the intake manifold? I need to pull mine for carbon/sludge cleaning.
I’m gonna be doing one for covering how to replace just specifically the gaskets for the oil cooler and such so yes I will have up soon!

KIT for A6 C6 2.7 TDI CAND ??
Not sure in this engine code, all are listed on their product page
Will this fit on the audi a7?
2013+ 3.0tdi yes - can confirm engine codes at the link in the desc!
Happen to know what size bolt extractor it was to get that egr pipe loose?

I usually use a 30 torx rbrt bit. They are a little pricey, but they won't strip out the head.
For heavens sake, cover those intake ports.
