Dude, I have dealt with a different truck 5 days a week. I have cleaned urine, feces, semen, rats, mice, bugs, food rot, raw rotten meat juice that I got salmonella from once, urine soaked trucks where the person was someone that missed daily and had like bottles and bottles of piss he kept ON THE TRUCK...I dont care how many hours you clean a truck like that, it REEKS forever after months of urine. It is never coming out. So yeah, that is REAL slip seating for infamous mega carriers local dedicated. Its a nightmare you will never forget. Then there is the mechanical issues, bad steers, regens, steering freeplay, alignment, engine lights, no cruise for 14 hours a day. No one should live like this, but guess what we do.

there always a 2nd side to every story what i see thur the lines he was using truck as personal vechicle back in days b4 they could track you could get away with that but not today you make a good living as driver you be able to afford a car so this never happens to you there also could been something that lead up to this like if he got speeding ticket and did not inform them about it yes they will fire for hiding the ticket iam tell you there more to this story ctete a great company to work for been here a long time yes they are stong on there safety but they will not fire you for accident unless you keep getting into them they really good about putting you thur a safety class rather fire you in all the years i been here you really have screw up to get fired yea none these companys care but so far this one has treated me the best and i agree keep cash avail and credit card so you can rent a car also crete not one to toss your stuff in trash unless you dont come to pu or make plans to have ship home

I would say driving for 25 years. This is probably one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for the management is awesome. Yes, the home time is a little bit bad because I’m on the road, but I am making more than I’ve ever made anywhere else and they did start finally paying us for dropping hooks. I just think you were in the wrong location, but the only other place that would beat this now is going to be UPS with the benefits, but I’m glad you’re happy now

I am a new P&D/Linehaul driver at ODFL. You pretty much summed it up. One of the things that made me nervous is I had to go to a much larger terminal i had never been to, to drop a hooked set and build a set to bring back to my dark terminal. That was the first time i did it on my own and i was slow but the second night I did it in like 15 mins. Just figuring out at the larger terminals where everything is can be a learning curve. After thst for the most part its easy peezy

Drove 80 from the Bay Area to Salt Lake City a few years ago and didn’t hear a peep from other drivers on my CB across any channel. Sad.

I did system 5 days off 2 days home for a union company back in the eighties I loved it loved it the sad part is I made more money then you guys do now God bless love watching you peace out bro❤

i drove for years and started with a big camcorder then as years went by ended with one of the small camcorders amd every time a car or even another semi hit me it was them say oh im sorry it was my fault UNTIL THE COPS SHOW UP, then they would point at me he hit us and then and only then would i point out the camera and were they upset i did not tell them i had it all on video cause they were caught telling lies to the cops, and i always made enough copies so everyone got one includeing both insurance companies

My boy just started at AAA and he is getting 80 CPM and 16$ for a drop and hook

The fastest way to attach a CB into your vehicle is to buy a CB radio that has a cigarette outlet type of power cord and to buy a magnet mount CB antenna that can be quickly put on top of the metal roof of your vehicle.

Crete is a great company to work for!!! They do care about their employees and are fair. But…it is a business and a lot of this kind of stuff has to do with their insurance coverage. If drivers don’t have good driving records it affects their CSA score and insurance rate. It sucks what happened to this driver, but you can’t just lump all companies together as being ‘bad.’

You could avoid situations like this with a cb, if you're willing to listen to the garbage people spew on the airwaves all day long. If you only turn it on at the traffic jam like most CB'ers, it's too late to find an alternate route.

I've been with Crete for 21 years and they've never treated any driver that I've ever seen in this manner. Normally you have to screw up multiple times, before they'll even consider firing you. And I’ve been driving for 30 years total. And I’ve been listening, and reading drivers so-called firing stories forever. And they're "NEVER, EVER" at fault for anything they do.

You can have years of experience and every endorsement possible. Then they see that you're over 50 and your application is placed in the trash. Plain and simple.

Trying to get in with Old dominion. I can’t seem to get a call back. Any idea on what to do if when you call to check on the status of the application or ask to speak with the terminal manager, they tell you, “we don’t do that here. HR sends us who is qualified” 😆 if I could just get an interview, I know I could land the job. Back story on me, Estes offered me a job otr linehaul, FXF has offered me a job doing p&d, but I really want in at old dominion as I don’t want to work the dock at fxf once I bid to linehaul. Any tips would be appreciated. (Yes I have all endorsements, experience, and no restrictions).

Current CT linehaul driver . CT came a long way I got to admit lol . They been expanding a lot lately , business pretty good . Pay is good too . Just still some administrative issues that’s annoying and the reason why I’m watching your video on SEFL 😂 trying to find something new
