Cooper just started OT the 1st of the year I was averaging about 55 hours a week now I get about 45 to 47 religiously watch your clock now It’s a bummer they’re practically cutting my pay 10 K for the year
Same damn thing in Indianapolis.. used to get 65 hours and 5am start time for 4 years .. begin the day with either a switch or some dock work .. now after the OT/50 started .. 830a start time and avg 44-49 hours . The last 3 months .. already down $10,000 from last year April 2023.. just put in my 2 weeks .. been here 4 years.. I helped multiple terminals for weeks at a time when they were struggling.. missing time from my wife and daughters .. no more linehaul on Saturdays even tho I was running every Saturday .. its slipping away and many drivers are done
@@RenavigateI don’t look at the notifications for TH-cam ever I didn’t see your comment my bad, I gross between 1500/1700 depending on the week take home 1K -1.3k a week
Yup XPO does the same thing. Linehaul and city can exchange at anytime. They don't distinguish between the two positions. It's one driver position called Driver Sales Rep. Every bid you have to cross your fingers.
I would say driving for 25 years. This is probably one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for the management is awesome. Yes, the home time is a little bit bad because I’m on the road, but I am making more than I’ve ever made anywhere else and they did start finally paying us for dropping hooks. I just think you were in the wrong location, but the only other place that would beat this now is going to be UPS with the benefits, but I’m glad you’re happy now
I hate ACT didn't work out for you but at least you're happy where you are now! Runs, pay and politics vary by company and region... sometimes you have to move around to find a good fit!
@@Trucker__Dee I agree. Tampa LTL jobs no where near what the big cities offer. Ocala has more consistent job openings than Tampa believe or not. Good luck to you wherever it is you’re at now. I’m currently hauling propane M-F but the gig not the whole package. OD, FedEx Freight, ABF Freight, and even Estes you can retire from and overall offer the “better deal” far as home daily jobs in this industry.
Is it a mix of some days line haul with docks and some days local P&D with dock work? I saw Old Dominion’s combo drivers are just local P&D with dock work.
@BigdogDog-rk8ci yeah i read that too.. atleast in Atlanta area they paying solo linehaul 77cpm now and they bout to get another raise in july so id imagine thats going to be closer to 80-81cpm after the raise but you come in at top pay unlime other ltl companies it talkes like 2-3yrs for max pay. Also they are paying teams 84cpm , rl carriers pays about 86cpm so does estes teams, and old dominion pays 88cpm so they are well in line with top ltl pay maybe they weren't when he worked there but they are staying competitive... the teams in Atlanta i spoke with the terminal manager in south Atlanta old grant road terminal he said its all dedicated for teams and he doesn't have a lane under 6100 miles a weel for teams so they have the freight. I used to team drive with my wife she doesn't wanna team drive anymore so anyone wanna team for aaa cooper out of south Atlanta with me let me know lets get this money .
😊Someone ,must have seen this video, now they pay overtime and drop and hook

I can put you understand why and I don't disagree with what you're saying. I hope you're enjoying your new position

True I worked there 6 years ago

Didn’t know you had a youtube channel, but welcome to the company.
So glad you came over to the money team here at Western Express! 💰 🤑

You’re definitely at a better place brother .
How you know you used to work for them

I was wondering…do you know where they sell their old trucks at? I would like to get one of those day cabs!!😊
I’m not sure tbh but try calling their corporate number and ask them
@@Trucker__Dee will do also do they have Owner Operators / Independent Contractors at Southeastern?
@@ithinkican251berich4 no but we have a lot of outside carriers that move our freight
@@Trucker__Dee ok ok that you!
Bro I left for the same reasons! Cooper is good place to get your beginning ltl experience.
AAA Cooper sounds a lot like R&L carriers. I spent 14 years there.
I hope everything works out bro. Definitely at a better place tho
Thats because AAA cooper is owned by swift and knight so its basically a mega carrier
That has nothing to do with me leaving and nothing changed with the LTL operations
Do the linehaul drivers only drive at night? For act/aaa cooper
For the most part yes unless u have high seniority to get a day run
There’s a youtuber that already makes content… sounds to me like Mark 😁
Bro I’m in the Tampa area and I’ve been trying to get w OD or Estes feels impossible to get in there. Exp driver w all my endorsements.
Yea it’s tough there considering the terminals aren’t huge like other major cities and it’s also the slow season

I looked at applying for a “Combo Driver” at AAA Cooper. Have you heard good things about that position?
It’s basically driving and working the dock

He’s at Saia.
Hard to get on at Southeastern here in Austell or Conley 😡
I run out of west Atlanta(Austell) all I can tell u is keep checking that career tab on a regular basis
Are u seeking city or road position?
Should’ve told him that you’d take it again if he didn’t act right
Im thinking od 🤔
