In Defense of Sasuke Uchiha | Naruto Analysis
มุมมอง 16Kปีที่แล้ว
Sasuke Uchiha gets a lot of hate for being inconsistent, edgy and irrational. In this video I try to explain his character a little to hopefully show that he's not this teen edge lord that something he is. I think his decisions do make sense and are consistent with his character wanted to dissect his arc a little more. Hope you enjoy this Naruto analysis on Sasuke Uchiha!
Aang vs. Korra: Who's REALLY The Better Avatar?
มุมมอง 1.8Kปีที่แล้ว
Avatar the Last Airbender is universally agreed upon to be the superior series to the Legend of Korra, and the question of who's the better Avatar is often treated as silly. But I think Aang and Korra were much closer than you might think. In this video I break down arguments for both and try to reach a verdict on who's the better Avatar. Hope you enjoy this Avatar analysis!
In Defense of Pain (Nagato Was RIGHT) | Naruto Analysis

Pain is one of the most compelling villains and Naruto and probably all of anime. Wanted to dissect his philosophy and to what extent he was correct in his solution to war, and his ideas on peace. This is a redone video because the old one from October got hit with copyright rip
5 Things They NEED To Put In The New MINATO MANGA!
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว

Deku Is An AWFUL Main Character | My Hero Academia Analysis
มุมมอง 117Kปีที่แล้ว
I love My Hero Academia, but Izuku Midoriya, the main character, kind of falls flat for me. I don't think he's pushed enough in any human way (in ways other than fighting and physical strength) and I think he's kind of bland compared to other, more complex main characters. Here I break down his character and why I think it falls kind of flat, and how he might be fixed.

มุมมอง 3.2Kปีที่แล้ว
Tokyo Revengers had TWO characters nominated for Best Boy on Crunchyroll's anime awards, and they were two side characters: Mikey and Draken. Here I break down why they're so beloved and such compelling characters, and talk about their bromance.
Should ZUTARA Have Been Canon? | Avatar Analysis
มุมมอง 15Kปีที่แล้ว
Zuko and Katara are mirrors: both lost their mothers to the Fire Nation, and both have incredible pent-up anger over their childhoods. I wanted to go over their romantic potential and their character arcs and answer whether or not they should've gotten together. Hope you enjoy this Zutara analysis!
All Might FAILED Hero Society. Yes, Really | My Hero Academia Analysis
มุมมอง 14Kปีที่แล้ว
All Might was the symbol of peace, anime Superman, the iconic hero from My Hero Academia. But there's a dark side to his influence. In this video I cover why All Might may not have been the immutably good influence some people make him out to be, and why some aspects of his reign as the number one hero might've actually been harmful.
Was Iroh SABOTAGING Prince Zuko? | Avatar: The Last Airbender Analysis
มุมมอง 4.8Kปีที่แล้ว
Uncle Iroh is one of the smartest characters in Avatar and was ten steps ahead of everyone from the beginning. In this video I break down a theory that Iroh was helping Team Avatar all along, sabotaging his own nephew Prince Zuko. Iroh wanted Zuko to find the right path in life, but he also wanted the end of the war, and to that end, he ensured the safety of the Avatar whenever he could. Hope y...
How Itachi Uchiha Changed My Life | Naruto Analysis
มุมมอง 12Kปีที่แล้ว
Itachi Uchiha is my favorite character in Naruto, and he's one of a few characters who impacted my life in a real way. He's introduced as a remorseless serial killer, but is revealed to be one of the deepest, most tragic characters in the show. His relationship with his brother Sasuke Uchiha is especially compelling. This video breaks him down a little bit, with a little commentary on how he af...

Light Yagami Was Right. Yes, Really. | Death Note Analysis
The ting i hate about deku is that he never tried to be a hero in ohter animes people trian even if they cant do it like in black clover the mc doesnt has magic but he still trained but deku just took notes theres many mcs that got a better sucsses with train in the start maybe deku would be more strong if he trained in the start but no he just took notes he could have trained japan figting skills or fight with a katana or make muscles but no he just waited untill he got a quirk to be honest i hate that he kinda acts coky to me when he loses a fight he just acts emo it would be better to congralate the wininng side deku took notes about heros but thats a bit smart instead he could have trained and be a hero with out neding someone elses quirk deku was like a stick man when we saw him but the only determination he had was a quirk if he was determinated at the fristh place he would be a strong hero with out a quirk he doesnt need to have a quirk to be strong like in jjk maki doesnt has cursed energy but is so strong stronger then most of the character like how one of them almost killed gojo thats the only reason what makes me angry twoards deku ive watched a lot alot of animes and i dont aprove his work hes bad. But theres worse anime mcs then him like harem mcs like chose one women brooo why you gotta make a whole voleyball team or someting? Anyways this is my honest opinion about deku it would be better if they wrote him determinated in the fristh place notes dont do damn twoards villians. Also mha girls need more goodness like they only use uraraka for deku the girls in mha are only like acsoseries for mha boys like none of the girls improved once and they drew girl bbs to big as a girl my self i find my self ofendend when i see girls used as toys twoards boy mcs they draw girls clothing to thin or to opening they always sexulaize women in anime people should fix it also for some reason dekus desing makes me annoyed can anybody tell me why? Or you could have done where his dad died when he was young and he wants to be like all might to show hope for the people who feel alone
The biggest issue is what I like to call Game of Thrones syndrome. I’m sure the issues you had would have been addressed if they weren’t so in a hurry to finish the series.
We’re talking about a man with a god complex who’d kill anyone that opposed him or simply called him out. He almost killed his own sister didn’t even grieve when his father died. He didn’t need a reason to kill the people around him a needed a reason not to kill him. Whether or not he was right isn’t the problem, no one like that should ever have that kind of power.
Midoriya is a misunderstood mc. I don't get why everyone hates him
This twist is huge in Naruto's verse. Without this twist, we would have gotten a bland villain like Hidan. This twist unveiled the dark side of Konoha, before this, we have seen the dark sides of other villages. So in Konoha, besides the Huyga incident, we now see the Uchiha massacre. I don't know why there are people who dislike this twist. Like we have 4 adults and a 13-year-old in this scheme and the one who got the blame is a 13-year-old who did what he could at the moment and took all blame and suffering upon himself. That's the greatest sacrifice ever. Not saying that the village was a saint, but in their defense: The one who unleashed Kurama was indeed an Uchiha, this lead to the distrust from the villagers, which is also understandable since Madara once controlled Kurama against the Leaf. We all know that it was Obito, but the villagers didn't, imagine your family were killed by Kurama and the only thing you know was that only a sharingan user could control Kurama. Instead of proving their innocence by opening their heart like Naruto, they choose to isolate themself even more. They have chosen to separate them self from the village by secretly meeting and staging the coup, they wanted to make Fugaku Hokage. Again, Naruto was able to become homage by proving himself worth the title, Itachi was discriminated against as an Uchiha in the academy and later in ANBU, but he never paid attention to it. Fugaku and the clan concentrated on the hatred that they are being discriminated against instead of proving themselves to be worthy to be treated equally. I know that Obito also contributed by stirring up the pot to destabilize the village but still, the clan were already having this mentality. Fugaku himself said if only he could have kept the clan in check and waited till Itachi grow up, perhaps Itachi could have been the first Uchiha to could clear prejudice from the villagers towards Uchiha clan.
Madara is the true savior of the world, because He used His godly powers to bring true happiness and peace to ALL living things in the world. Meanwhile, naruto used his to shut down other people's suffering/trauma (talk-no-jutsu) and perpetuate the Kage system, which as the Hokage, only benefits himself.
If it i made kataang more better is aang fall love to katarw because katara always acting motherly to aang
Gonna be real, I almost dropped this anime because of deku, why? He’s fucking annoying, I’m with bakugo on this 1. If it wasn’t for all might coming in clutch and pushing the story somewhere, I’d not be watching this anime bro 😭
The amount of frustration I have with Aang not killing the Firelord! This kid was going to risk the earth being burned to the ground all for his people that are already dead anyway! The amount of people that say "he did the right thing" or that he shouldn't have killed him are making me think I'm a psychopath because it would be so easy for me to make that decision!
He’s a horrible mc
You essentially said Light was wrong due to the slippery slope argument. Light philosophy is wrong because innocent people are accused of being guilty constantly. He has no perfect judgment to know if they are really guilty or innocent and there can be no redemption in anyone. You would need to go after the heavy hitters people who kill hundreds of thousands indirectly while living the god life with no consequences etc. Serial killers can be handled by gov etc. You would need to impact actual policy etc. So realistically you need a in human judgment compotent from the death note.
He was gonna be anime Batman until it was change…and he was gonna be emo
No he wasn't stop saying that it was never set up from the beginning
Light had to be written as flawed both in intellect and character to make the story work and put the focus on his fight with L instead of politics. If he actually had spend time on how to do the most good with his power, the story would be about something different and every other aspect of the work would have changed to reflect that. And if his character flaws hadn't made him fuck up multiple times he would have won and we also can't have that. What I like about Light's approach is how simple it is and how it works everywhere and for everyone. Be sentenced for a crime -> now your life is in danger. Puts pressure on common criminals, world-leading politicians and everyone in between. In Japan, in the West, everywhere developed enough to have a register of criminals one can access. And infamous bad actors in poor countries are still at risk, even if they are hiding in some god-forsaken jungle. And it is super efficient. Trying to use the death note to directly change specific politics while avoiding getting caught gets really convoluted quickly. It's actually not easy to come up with a plan that works as well, as quickly and as cleanly as Light's does. More complex plans have more potential points of failure. Light started to become much less sympathetic as he began killing people for lesser and lesser crimes, but that too can be seen as a way the author was forcing the reader to keep seeing Light as a villain at the end of the day. If Light was just killing politicians, ultra rich and highly influential industrialists and dictators around the world, together with murderers and violent gang members, he would simply be too sympathetic. He had to start killing more or less innocent people for the story to keep its intended emotional flow. And he had to be arrogant and maniacal in how he justified his actions. But these flaws feel like they don't necessarily belong to the character. They maybe represent a version of him, the god-complex-driven egomaniac version of Light, but it's totally possible to imagine a slightly more reasonable, more self-aware and morally-motivated version of him. And that version of him, I suspect, would have gotten quite a lot of support from readers all around the globe.
I agree with your perspective that Katara wouldn't necessarily work romantically with either Aang or Zuko. That actually she and the show don't need any romance. You do, however, make without maybe realizing it a good point why Azutara would work (no need to restrict oneself to Kataang or Zutara). Not in the show of course, as there was no buildup for it, but afterwards.
My question is what happens when he fills out the death note front to back, does he get a new one?
You absolutely lost me when you said Ymir was a simp for Historia and that she was defined by that. That is SUCH a surface way to look at her. Ymir found Historia because she was lost, traumatized, and lonely, and when she found out there was someone out there who may understand her, she jumped at the opportunity, and Historia jumped at it as well. Ymir had a desire to live for HERSELF, and ultimately made the choice to leave Historia to follow her own goals and principles. Historia is the one who cried and wished she would come back, not the other way around. I don’t like mikasa either but I can’t take anything you say seriously when you demonstrate such a lack of reading comprehension.
His father
Pain is the bad guy.
I can see what you are saying but what is considered “wrong” a car wreck caused by accident? Will you get killed by Kira then? How about something more advanced like stealing, yes stealing is bad but it absolutely doesn’t warrant death just no way so in the end, if we extend this into forever then Kira is definitely wrong here.
2:27 Well, Aang did consider his defeat at the 'Crossroads of Destiny' to be a failure and it was considering the consequences with the fall of Ba Sing Se but other than that I agree with him not being shown to fail all that often.
Screw you
overall mikasa sucks
Deku has room for character work but mostly he fails because the story fails.
I cried at least 20 times over the course of watching Naruto..
He is not even in top 20 😭
Nice joke
I'm from Indonesia. This is such a very underrated video. It's very thoughtful, & deep analysis, even philosophical!
Kira is ideal and ideals never die ❤❤❤❤❤❤
have you considered that's she's hot and has abs tho?
I personally prefer Rayllum… whoops, wrong show.
Madara was right.
Madrara was end 33 proves it
Naruto has easy speaking, hes the choosen one, has great genetics, great teachers, sure his backstory is sad but what if he didnt even had the potential to become a ninja. He could have hard worked all he wanted and it would have never worked, he even would had to accept it and become miserable. At the end he would have snapped one day releasing kurama and letting him destroy the village. Naruto was very lucky to be the main charakter in an Anime.
Damn you need to make more videos
bro pulled out his college assigned reading to prove lights point ☠
I, for one, am firmly against the constant insinuation that you need to be "Born right" or "chosen" to be a hero. I would've preferred if Deku STAYED quirkless and found a way to be a hero without needing to be chosen by number one over there! Like you said, just look at how many people like Batman or Ironman! 9:10 And he DOESN'T CARE! Right!? He should be doing something, ANYTHING to bring attention to the kind of person he used to be! Considering everything you just said, I recommend a fanfiction called "Villains aren't born"
batman is rich while ironman is rich and a genius
Best MC by far! And the best out of the big 3
If you really wanted to see a cordless hero you have to read the my hero spin-off series Vigilante the main character in that series is a quirkless vigilante that is hella buff and uses brass knuckles
I don’t care I will always take lights. Side
he a loser and fanboy
Sure, let's not talk about what Eldia did for thousands of years. The context of WHY Eldia is hated and what brought them to that point in the first place.
People Call him Gary Stu at the same time they point out his flows as a person. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT BEING A GARY STU MEANS????
Yeah Deku is pretty weak tbh
Coping because deku shits on jjk
Itachi Uchiha taught me to always be a good brother and to put others after you he will always be my favourite character 😢🧡
This is my opinion, but I genuinely thought it would have been so cool to see Midoriya become a hero without a quirk. It would have proven to everyone that anyone can become a hero, regardless of their abilities. He could have been the Batman or Iron Man of My Hero.
Really a iron man and batman without funding or actual Trainor
Naruto Uzumaki is undoubtedly one of the greatest anime protagonists ever, and it’s because of his deep connection to the world around him and the struggles he faces. Naruto isn’t just a hero because of his strength, but because of his relentless willpower, optimism, and empathy, making him the true embodiment of the "Will of Fire." He represents the "people's champion"-a character anyone can relate to because of the hardships he’s overcome and his belief in the potential for change. Consider how Tsunade sees her younger brother, Nawaki, and her lover, Dan, in Naruto. Both of these people were important to her, and when she looks at Naruto, she sees the same spirit and determination they had. This shows how much of an emotional connection he creates with those around him. Likewise, Jiraiya saw in Naruto the hope to fulfill his own dream of peace-a dream that Jiraiya himself had long given up on. As Naruto’s mentor, Jiraiya recognized that Naruto had the potential to succeed where he had failed, passing down his ideals and hoping that Naruto could become the bridge to a better future. Kakashi, too, saw this spark in Naruto. Initially, he viewed Naruto as an underdog, much like his own student, Obito. But over time, especially after Pain’s attack on Konoha, Kakashi began to view Naruto as a leader, even saying he felt that Naruto had surpassed him. Kakashi came to respect Naruto as both a comrade and even as a sensei in a way, learning from Naruto’s unwavering belief in doing what’s right. Naruto also forms deep, personal connections with many of the major villains in the series. Nagato (Pain) is a great example. Nagato saw the same pain and suffering in Naruto that he himself had experienced, yet Naruto’s response to that pain was different-he chose hope over hatred, even when everything suggested he should fall into despair. His words not only shook Nagato, but even Itachi Uchiha was caught off guard by Naruto's unwavering resolve to protect the village and bring peace. Naruto’s journey was never easy. He had every reason to become a villain, given his lonely childhood, being ostracized, and constantly fighting against an unjust world. But no matter how bleak things seemed, Naruto held onto the belief that humanity could change for the better. His relentless hope is what makes him so unique. Even villains like Obito saw reflections of themselves in him. Obito, who once believed that the world was beyond saving, saw in Naruto the same boy he used to be-a boy full of dreams who hadn’t yet given up on peace. Now, imagine if Naruto had been in Itachi’s or Obito’s position. Would he have acted differently? Absolutely. Itachi was forced to make the heart-wrenching choice to massacre his own clan for the sake of the village, and Obito’s entire philosophy revolved around rejecting the flawed reality. If Naruto had been in either of their shoes, he would have found a way to bridge the gap between the Uchiha and the village. He wouldn’t have fallen to despair like Obito or carried out the massacre like Itachi. Naruto’s indomitable will to find a solution that protects everyone, even the villains, is what sets him apart. Naruto's strength doesn’t come from his abilities alone. It’s his refusal to give in to the darkness around him, his unshakable faith in humanity, and his determination to do the right thing even when the world is against him. He embodies the *Will of Fire*-the belief that the next generation will carry on the dreams and hopes of the previous one, striving for peace and protecting those they care about. No matter how many injustices he faces, Naruto always stands up for others, even extending his compassion to villains who have lost their way. Kishimoto makes it clear: Naruto isn’t the main character because he’s the strongest. He’s the main character because he has the strongest will, a will that burns with the *Will of Fire*. He’s the embodiment of hope, a force for change, and a hero who stands up not just for his friends but even for his enemies. That’s why Naruto is the greatest of all time.
Honestly, I have always felt like the Aang x Ozai battle at the end felt more very lackluster, especially when paired with the beautiful and haunting Zuko/Katara x Azula fight. I admit, Aang has never been a favorite of mine but this battle serves to emphasize all of the reasons why I never liked him that much. Like you said in the video, the writers coddle Aang and he is never challenged. He could have an incredible arc of self-sacrifice and growth, one that is essentially there throughout the show but they never actually use it. For the first season, Aang wrestles with the guilt and grief of leaving his people and his responsibilities as the Avatar. In the end, he works with the spirits to save the North Pole from being decimated like his people had been in his absence 100 years ago. In the second season, he starts to realize that his idolization of air nomad culture can clash with those Avatar responsibilities, but without mastering the Avatar state he jeopardizes the whole world. In the crossroads of destiny, he should choose to let go of Katara, foiling Zuko as he does throughout the series, but he is struck down. In the third season, Aang should be angry that he tried to do the right Avatar thing and failed. He can still pursue Katara twice as hard as he had, like we see, because he has convinced himself that it doesn't matter what he is supposed to do. He travels further down a path of selfishness and self-righteousness under the guise of self-confidence and cultural pride. The mid-season finale could be a quick turning point and regression for Aang, he is convinced he doesn't need all of the Avatar advice to defeat the Fire Lord because it didn't matter anyway but when they attempt the invasion it becomes incredibly apparent that he is sorely unprepared. Here Aang would start to turn back to his season 1 archetype, scared to fight and stand up to his responsibilities, while also hiding in the shadow of his connections to air nomad philosophies. He could slowly build back up his confidence as Zuko shows him the better side of fire bending and he trains more vigorously (as opposed to the lazy Aang we see in the show). Meanwhile, his relationship with Katara is crashing and burning, further cementing that his idealized Aang-centric version of himself after crossroads of destiny is not working like he had hoped, but he still holds on to the idea of them together. When he is confronted about killing the Firelord toward the end and tries to avoid the subject, like his season 1 character would have, Katara puts her foot down and chastizes him for not taking everything more seriously/putting himself before the rest (much like we see in the show). This argument challenges both Aang'sdedication to air nomad pacifism and his attachment to Katara, the two things holding him back from fully realizing his Avatar potential, and so he is upset and angry and he CHOOSES to run away. Unlike in the show where he is excused from making a mistake or doing something "bad" by sleepwalking. He summons the past Avatars, attempts to find anyone who will agree with him, and realizes that he is alone. It is at this point that he finally realizes that he can't have it all, he can't save the world and get the girl and live the pacifist monk life he has been idolizing. During the battle he wrestles with himself, still unsure of what is right, but when Ozai attempts to kill him it chips away at part of his resolve and he becomes more offensive, he finally lets go of his attachment to Katara and the air nomads and launches into a full-blown attack. He chooses the world over himself and ends Ozai and the war. He does not end up with Katara but she is alive and happy. He does not get his people back but he is able to celebrate and preserve their culture with visitors from other nations. He is happy in the end, it's bittersweet and it's not what he expected but he is happy. I would have liked this Aang, but instead I spent the show frustrated with his lack of growth and accountability, the show never challenged him like they challenge almost every other character.
Drink some water before a video next time bro we can hear it when you talk. Sounds like youre sucking on a popsicle the whole video
I like Deku, but man he didn’t do anything to help his goal of becoming a hero before receiving One for All. It’s made worse with the ending. Like this 4Chan post said, he never takes initiative. He has to have everything handed to him on a silver platter. I like that he can be cowardly and starts as a glass cannon, makes him stand out from the Goku clones, but I hate that he worships Bakugo despite being bullied by him. Maybe it would have been better if Deku was working towards his goal and Bakugo was angry because he knew that Deku was stronger than him in a way.
Froppy should be main character
