Itachi, that’s why I’m watching 😂 Edit: Actually Obito, after all of his tragedy he still turns around into a beautifully written character. Itachi can be #2
Itachi Uchiha reminded me to be a responsible older brother again. Although I can't look over that he installed a jutsu (kotoamatsukami) to brainwash his little brother after his death. From a other standpoint that would be a good thing. But compelling his brother to protect the hidden leave even though he wouldn't want to is something I can't take for granted.
yeah I agree, I definitely was waay more satisfied when he tells Sasuke that he'll love him no matter what path he goes down right before the edo tensei dissipates
The truth about Itachi episode came out in Japanese 3 days after my big brother was killed, and the day before his funeral. This plot in Naruto always hits so hard, and inspires me to be a big brother as great as they were to my own little siblings. Fuck
I feel the exact same way about Itachi. He is by far my favorite character in Naruto because of how morally ambiguous he is. He also taught me the importance of being a good brother.
Part of Itachi’s tragedy is that he was so brainwashed by Danzo and the deep state. Danzo used Sasuke as a bargaining chip pretty much, to get a powerful 13 year old boy to bend to his will. I think Itachi realized that later on and regretted that he was too naive and focused to see the other ways the conflict could’ve been solved. He was just so focused on his brother and that shameful menace Danzo knew it and took advantage of it.
Ore wa omae o zutto aishiteru ❤️ I will love you always. Aishiteru is a special word for love that Itachi says to Sasuke before departing. It’s the word used at one’s wedding, a child’s birth, or the deathbed of a child or spouse. This was Itachi’s last word. A man defined by love, who accepted only hatred. This seems to harken back to the two demon statues denoted when Danzo lays out Itachi’s choices. Incredible work, Kishimoto
This is the part where I try to leave a like and find out I've already did. My favourite character is Itachi and I saw countless of vids on him, yours is the one that hit the most😢
Itachi Uchiha is my favorite character ever. I'm purposely not going to watch this video fully because I know it will make me cry. I am also going to purposely understate how much Itachi impacted me in real life because, again, I know it will make me too emotional. So I'll just say Itachi is the greatest character ever written for me and he taught me extremely important things about life I know this is full of vagueness but I'm being as genuine as I can....and thank you for this video @monkfruit
Im not really that deep into naruto shipuden but im always doing research on Naruto and i feel like the uchiha are so interesting because its like they have aren’t trusted by the village so they start to give in to hate but when u look at the sasuke and obito u can see real human beings in them because they lost their loved ones and they grew to hate the world and i kinda feel for them because im always scared of losing a loved one and then u have itachi who murdered his whole clan and i thought he was evil but then his reincarnation came bck and i cried because itachi makes me want to love my lil bro no matter what even though we dont always see eye to eye(i cried typing this even though it doesn’t seem to make sense lol)
This twist is huge in Naruto's verse. Without this twist, we would have gotten a bland villain like Hidan. This twist unveiled the dark side of Konoha, before this, we have seen the dark sides of other villages. So in Konoha, besides the Huyga incident, we now see the Uchiha massacre. I don't know why there are people who dislike this twist. Like we have 4 adults and a 13-year-old in this scheme and the one who got the blame is a 13-year-old who did what he could at the moment and took all blame and suffering upon himself. That's the greatest sacrifice ever. Not saying that the village was a saint, but in their defense: The one who unleashed Kurama was indeed an Uchiha, this lead to the distrust from the villagers, which is also understandable since Madara once controlled Kurama against the Leaf. We all know that it was Obito, but the villagers didn't, imagine your family were killed by Kurama and the only thing you know was that only a sharingan user could control Kurama. Instead of proving their innocence by opening their heart like Naruto, they choose to isolate themself even more. They have chosen to separate them self from the village by secretly meeting and staging the coup, they wanted to make Fugaku Hokage. Again, Naruto was able to become homage by proving himself worth the title, Itachi was discriminated against as an Uchiha in the academy and later in ANBU, but he never paid attention to it. Fugaku and the clan concentrated on the hatred that they are being discriminated against instead of proving themselves to be worthy to be treated equally. I know that Obito also contributed by stirring up the pot to destabilize the village but still, the clan were already having this mentality. Fugaku himself said if only he could have kept the clan in check and waited till Itachi grow up, perhaps Itachi could have been the first Uchiha to could clear prejudice from the villagers towards Uchiha clan.
The love between sasuke and itachi felt artificial, that’s why their war scene didn’t work for me I mean , itachi wanted sasuke to hate him , but what is the point of torturing him and destroying his life ? Aside from his choice to murder his family which is hilarious tbh
So that Sasuke hated Itachi too much to realize it was an advantageous scenario to the leaf. In a reality defined by child soldiers and constant war, people don’t value the psyche of even their closest loved ones the way we’ve grown used to the past century or 2
@@wwe12153 this is my answer to “what is the point of torturing him and destroying his life” Itachi destroyed the life of a child soldier, so that the child soldier would be strong enough to survive a world so damaged that child soldiers are a reality.
The story of Naruto isn’t just about Naruto making his way to Hokage, it’s also a story of the terrible plight of living as a child soldier in a world mired by generational conflict and constant global hostilities. It may seem unworthwhile to destroy your family to prevent war, but if the alternative is world war fought by mostly children, a 13-15 year old child soldier may disagree. We have to think about the numbing necessary to quell the mind of someone killing people at the age of 4, may also be great enough to boil down casualties as a matter of mathematics, not priorities.

6:40 - for me this is the worst plot twist ever. At the beginning he already had a compelling backstory. Itachi was a prodigy with a lot of potential and talent and he became arrogant and greedy. All he wanted was power. That's why he murdered his clan and family, that's why he wanted Sasuke to kill his best friend, to take his eyes with his Mangekyo, to cure his blindness and gain more power. He was a hypocrite who pretended to be good but in reality he is a monster. He was even more evil than Orochimaru because he committed a genocide just because he could. Now Shippuden happened and Itachi makes no sense at all. Retcons in manga, anime and even novels. I liked Itachi earlier but now I hate him with every ounce of my soul, every ounce of my heart. Idolizing a mass murderer, abuser and criminal while hating Sasuke who was Itachi's real victim. Itachi didn't love Sasuke, he only manipulated him to do what he wanted him to do. If you call that stuff love I don't know what's wrong with you. For me Itachi is the worst big bro. I would prefer hate instead of this "love"
