- Twice is one of my favorite villains in My Hero Academia. In a world where so many want to change the world, he just wants friends. In this video I break him down and explain what makes him so compelling.
I love how on the outside twice is a silly villain in a world of silly powers but deep down he is a man who’s short life was filled with tragedy and betrayal from people he thought were friends and even from himself
Great analysis. Everytime I think about Twice, my heart breaks. All he wanted was to find a place where he belonged
To be surrounded by people who excepted him and cared about him. And in the end, he died protecting his friends. In death he was content.

I bawled my eyes out seeing he’s so much like me…
I understood his pain.
But I am glad he died content though…
It’s still sad…
Same with Gigantomachia.
It’s a shame that there are not more people with Twice’s personality. He is a real friend, and a good person.

Twice is how any and all mangaka should right a potential end game level threat.
Twice has the ability to create an army and hawks seeing that and stomping it out before it became a problem is frankly brilliant for mha heck a lot of stories where they want to show off all the powers someone can use.
Sometimes I wish we can deal the evil away before it gets released. Sometimes we should have stories stomp out an evil rebellion before it gains steam. It would be a lot more interesting to have scenarios where we could have been in a worse spot.
Most times it's only the villains where nothing affects them. Star and stripes foe example did nothing to all for one. He was still very powerful heck even more so after that fight which is the opposite of how twice was handled
MHA villains are beautiful.
Twice is so depressing, because he’s like many people…who were accused or stuck in a situation with no family…
Same with Gigantomachia after being betrayed by All for One.

Twice is such a cartoony villain with the facial expression and comments and body language. But is such a broken man
He’s definitely one of the best written characters on my hero academia, so much complexity about him and allows readers to question moralities in situations like his.
Twice dying was one of the most heartbreaking experiences I’ve seen in anime. I really do wish he would’ve listened to hawks.
Twice didn't listen to Hawks because he was loyal. He wouldn't betray his friends to save his own skin. He didn't surrender knowing others would die in the fight without him. If Twice had listened to Hawks, surrendered, done what Hawks wanted... he wouldn't have been Twice. He wouldn't be Jin Bubaigawara.
We ❤ him for the very reason that got him killed. That's the brutal truth. And worse yet, Hawks wasn't even wrong to do so. Hawks was doing his job, working to save so many people innocent people. But in order to do so, Hawks worked as a Double Agent, betrayed a good man he considered a friend, committing atrocities. Hawks wasn't wrong, he just acted heartlessly. Twice was wrong, yet acted for the completely sympathetic reasons.
idk exactly if Hawks was rlly friends with Twice but i still love the fact twice didnt give up on the villian league in moments of death also that dabi didnt blame him for doing so

Ok so not to monlogue but before when i saw Twice i was like "oh cool" but when we got deeper and DEEPER i started really feeling for him he is basically the "the people who laugh the most are the saddest people in the room" quote because i only started watching anime 2 weeks ago but Twice made it one of my favourites so far he literally sarcrificed himself to save his friends multiple times and not only that but he's just so relatable and funny but the scene him and Toga shared at the end when i was trying my hardest not to cry made me cry so fucking bad(sorry for cursing to ppl who find it offensive) ,but yeah Twice is such a good guy that he wasnt begging not to die he literally made a double to save his FRIENDS instead of himself and wouldnt give up on them no matter what

He was for sure my absolute favorite character within the entire show, I actually stopped watching for a couple months after the... Hawks incident.

Crying 3 days is crazy I get it emotional scenes happen but don’t you think that’s overboard for a fictional animated series?

Time like this make me greatful that Batman exist. Awesome Channel did a video review about The New Batman Adventures episode Double Talk, when Batman help The Ventriloquist get over his other persona Scarface, by looking after him as Batman and giving him a good job as Bruce Wayne and being a good boss. It's truely masterful writing when a villains death drives you to tears. The only other one with such impact, which comes to my mind may bei Darth Vader.
