Does the exhaust valve remain open permanently without using the app or phone again? I’ve read a lot that says it won’t make a difference unless you’re on the app.

Hi, would you know why my Bimmer link app does not even have the option for exhaust flap on display? It does not appear as an option at all. But all other options are there.

Regarding the valves, if you press the oem PSE button on the dashboard, won't that keep the valves open all the time? And did you get any Check engine light or warning due to the OPF being removed?

I was on the same debate and ended up going with the an F87 Comp. The G87 is really fast and the interior is very techy and upgraded etc…. But I can’t stand how it looks…… the F87 just makes you FEEL like you are driving a drivers car and not a modern BMW like the G87 makes you feel….. sometimes it’s how it makes you feel etc

…So why did you finance it?

1600 is actually not too bad for a major service, considering its a flat 6 with 6 sets of spark plug and coils to be changed. Do you know any difference in major/minor service cost for the 4.0 gts (compared to gt4)?

The exhaust sound and the howl of the 6 cylinder is far superior to the 4 cylinder.

Those were mostly sports cars, not super cars.

DCT gearboxes are crap the ZF 8 speed is way nicer

they already have taycan, macan, cayenne, why the need to make boxster an EV, IMO, this will sell way less than the previous model, and hopefully they will start making two versions again .

Watching this 3 years later and see you bought a GT4, how times change! Congrats! Currently deciding between the G87 and G82, emira, 718 GTS 4.0 or the GT4. My heart wants the GT4 but as a daily i'd be constantly worried about scraping

£1500 is not going to cover the cost of fresh paint. I had PPF on my 996 turbo for 10 years, the front bumper wasn’t part of it and ended up looking an absolute state whereas the PPF looked as good as new. For £1500 I think it’s worth it for any half decent motor
