Now this video deserves 100,000 likes because that is something I have never seen anyone do so far in my feed on TH-cam and I've been on TH-cam for more than like 15-20 years. I have never seen anybody fly fish in the ocean
Yeah man, I have been doing it for Spanish mackerel for a few years (I have a playlist) but the alby has eluded me for a couple years. Thanks for watching it.
Fly rod fishing is one of the greatest things. My father in law almost exclusively uses a fly rod. His last trip down to Louisiana, he took his out for some big red drum. I need to get back out to your neck of the woods before they move along. The wife and I were down about 3 weeks ago, and all I could seem to get off shore was sharks.
i pulled out my 30 year old fly rod, and found the reel had siezed. but bought a new reel kit .. spooled it with 20lb dacron backing and #8 floating line.. gonna hit up fort macon / atlantic beach and see if i can get into some blues on top :)
About time you started showing the fly rod some love! Nice job!
I’ve always loved it. It’s just hard. Haha.

I still haven’t gotten a red on the fly but that’s on the bucket list. It’s a little easier in Louisiana I’d say. Haha.
Love this man! Well done.
Thanks buddy.
Man I have never fly fished before but this video sure makes me want to learn! Very cool!
It’s really tough but the reward is that much sweeter.
Nice!
Thanks buddy!

Thats awesome. I have heard that they are catching albies consistently up there! Good luck buddy.
Nice catch! What conditions do you look for to run out of the inlet? I'd love to go out in my tin boat but curious about the right conditions.
Just offshore winds or under 10mph. I don’t like swell either so the days are limited.
