I love how the Rolling thunder kick is a high risk high reward move Either you miss and make your self vulnerable on the ground or you successfully hit and get some brutal results
This means nothing, with that I mean one single match with 2 people involved. Kykushin trains hardness. Scoring a point is not enough; Doing damage counts. This implies structural differences with TKD where it's point based and power is frowned upon because it comes at the cost of control. Credit to this TKD guy for taking the shots and fighting back. But take 200 Kykushinkai and 200 TKD, all of them random brown and black belts - not volunteers as only the tough will volunteer. And now predict the results. You see where this is going?
It’s so ironic how TKD is more Korean, but Kyokushin (being traditional Japanese) the toughest fighter ever in the history of martial arts was Korean blooded Mas Oyama (founder of Kyokushin)
Light sparring, both fighter's did indeed amazing. The taekwondo player had great speed and at the beginning threw 3-4 spinning punches which completely confused the muay thai fighter but he did fall like any master would. The muay thai fighter, impressive foot work and good at defending though had few issues.
Actually what you witnessed from him is everything taught in tkd. Different from the olympics sparring style of wtf which tends to be more main stream.
Taekwondo: Inner Peace Muay Thai: Rest in Peace

Pretty sure a judo yellow belt could beat a taekwondo black belt.
Don't say stupid things, think before writing incoherencies, taekwondo is a very complete martial art, don't spread your ignorance.

The TKD guy probably practiced some boxing or kickboxing. He is a much better puncher than the most TKD fighters I've seen.
