I think for those of us (like me) that are musicians (I'm a pianist) and songwriters, this could really help. My voice is OK and I can use Melodyne to fix my pitch issues. I'd think a corrected vocal of an OK but not vocalist quality performance (like mine are) would yield decent results.

Probably would've sounded better without the Autotune. Some of the notes don't require | need pitch drift. Theres a difference between pitch drift and pitch correction. Some notes don't need either. Great attempt trying to demonstrate the art.

Amazing video, thanks! I've been wanting to try recording a harmony like this for a long time but was never sure of the logistics. In your headphones, are you just listening to yourself sing, listening to the other parts you've recorded so far, or listening to a metronome? Is it cheating to be listening to a piano play your part so you can hit the pitches?

Genuinely would have sounded better without the auto-tune. The note jumps were too noticeable with it on, and her takes without the autotune sounded good enough that the only thing the autotune really improved was evening out a few shaky spots where her breathing was uneven. I guess if people don't want to work at developing a skill, they can be content with sounding robotic, but they shouldn't be surprised if people don't take them seriously as singers.

Just a comment about AutoTune. It is used by a lot of people who cant sing a lick but have made albums and $$. I hate how often AutoTune is used. Its just a way to cheat for a lot of people. If used correctly it can be a valuable tool but, unfortunately, its far over used to correct poor vocals. Learn how to sing and only rely on AutoTune for a pitch correction here and there during your mix.

once they can do this in an adustible way it will be cool. Being able to modify your voice will be much beter that transforming it to a preset.

I think the harmony would spund better if you sang the 2nd part and then converted it to the female voice. Very cool all the same. Def gonba try this out

What saddens me about this is these AI voices are derived from real voices, right? So AI studies and learns from people’s voices and takes from them to make this possible. Not that there isn’t a cool/wow factor - I couldn’t have imagined this as a kid. I do feel there are strong moral implications of using AI for art/music though.

Very good. I've been doing studio work for many years and AT can be a real help. It can't fix the quality of your voice though but pitch is so important and if done correctly can improve vocals quite a bit if you know what you're doing. Could have used some vibrato on the longer notes maybe. Nice job.
