Important information regarding discharge criteria of category x,y,z has been not mentioned in the video like they have different requirements like pre wash and discharge to shore until effluent concentration is below 0.1 % by weight for category x and similarly y and z has less stringent regulations for discharge at sea as well as reception facility.

How do messmam know that they are in special Area?

How do you understand 1/30000 of total quantoty of the cargo? Total cargo means all oil before doscharching?

In my opinion, as long as it is not clearly defined the (given) distance can be as well DLong as Departure. Both are distances and since it is given in NM I asumed it was DLong. Correct me if I am wrong.

Sir can I ask when you calculated Departure why you transposed the SinCo = Dep/Dist to Dep = Dist x SinCo correctly with the Multiplication but when you calculated D'long you went from Cos m'lat = dip/d'long to D'long = dep/cos m'lat?? no multiplication here? this part is really tripping me up.

Your. Videos are good however it has quite a few misinformation as well , kindly try not to do that otherwise young ppl tend to take that forward . For example full form for IBC code was wrong . Annex 1 video difference in discharge criteria of oil from machinery space was wrong . IOPP supplement form A and B was wrongly quoted . Small things but these makes huge impact. Please be careful of those 😊
